Yeah im buying the PC version and the PS3 version as well . The 360 version looks better then the PS3 but PS3 gets the extra joker content so i gotta get that . The PC version does not come out for 20 days or so after the console versions which stinks.

After this amazing Demo you know the wait will be worth it
-
Oh it will be worth it for sure
i would just rather play through the PC version first in all its glory then the PS3 version after .No biggie im going to enjoy it either way and its a game i know will have multiple playthrough's.

Well look at it like this. Once you play the PS3 Version then the PC version you will appreciate PC gaming even more
-
Yep, just to chime in, totally had a ball with it, and can't wait for the full game next month. I hope it sells well, and isn't a pirate fiasco, as I'm totally stoked to see a good PC version of a console game come our way and not a poorly optimized port. Let's support em!!
Fun game! -
Nice to see PC gaming having a certain extra to it, although it's sad that my laptop can't take full advantage of Physx.
I hope we see more PC games like this. -

Only played it shortly, so I cant really give it a fair view I guess, but it seems like its going to be a lot of the same and then more of the same. Hide on the room area, wait for AI to spread out and then take them out.
Its how the videos I have seen looked too. I really investigate gameplay and how it will be in the long run when I play a game. To many games come off as really great and exciting like say Assasins Creed only to end up so boring that before your half way done with the game your ready to quit. -

Its gotta be more in depth then that especially since that uk magazine gave it a 96/100:
Games Master UK
"Arkham Asylum is a game with the power to utterly captivate you and can stand proudly alongside modern classics such as "Resident Evil 4", "Gears of War," and "BioShock"...Simply put, Batman: Arkham Asylum is a masterpiece. [Sept 2009, p.66]" -
Definitely going to pick this up when it comes out. It was running around 25 FPS, but really felt solid, better than Fallout 3 at 40 FPS.

How do you see your FPS in the game?
-

Use fraps.

Edit: Keep in mind, this is a free version and only allows 30 secs of ingame recording. You need to buy the full to get everything. Hope this helps. -

LOL did you read what they put in the description?
"The best Batman game ever made (not that that's saying much)", -
Thund3rball I dont know, I'm guessing
Demo was pretty fun. I like grappling around and taking out the baddies one by one. I just hope the game is not a rinse repeat of everything I just did in the demo though? I am guessing it is going to be a short campaign with challenge rooms and achievements trying to get you to come back for more.
Will it be worth $50? I'll wait for a good dose of full game reviews to help me decide that, but judging by my cheap a55 nature I will throw caution into the wind and say... no. I'll wait for a deal.
Although you lucky blokes in the US can pick this puppy up for $40 on Amazon and Newegg. I'd pay $40 at launch, but I doubt I'd pay $50. -

See Post #58 for the answer

Looking at the outro, it looks like the Asylum is a VERY BIG place, and there seems to be lots to do.
I enjoyed the quick demo, and it ran great max everything 1680x1050 on my desktop(no physx). Haven't tried on my laptop yet. -
this demo was amazing
i will definitly buy the game. oh, just an fyi for all of you, it ran max settings never dropping below 30fps on my laptop
-
Thought everyone interested would check out the latest video from gametrailers showing the gadgets in the game... very cool indeed.

hey guys
saw alot of articles on this from when it was announced but never bothered 2 read them because I thought it would be a bore
downloaded it a few days ago but wasn't able to play it till today...
played it at native res on high and fps were 45-60
will continue it on v high and post back because I'm writin this from my phone
didn't finish it but I loved everything shown
jumping up to gargoyles, kicking an enemy from there, jump chains , stealth takedowns and the batrang
BUT Nothing beats pulling off a headshot with a batrang from around a corner while under cover -
Thund3rball I dont know, I'm guessing

Can't wait for this game now. Just intersted to see joshthor saying you are running the game max'd out?? On what res and settings mate?? Also you recommended that the studio 15 would run this game max'd! I fail to see how it will or how you can. I might jus be misunderstanding your setting's. Do you have physX enabled??
Cheers. -

I can confirm this as I just finished the Demo on my Studio 1555. I used the settings that it had preset for me (I am asuming they are max) and the game ran BEAUTIFULLY. Definetly getting it when it comes out. I had my doubts it would run but I was wrong. It ran perfect. Definetly worth the play through.
-
Cool, seem's like a well optimized game. Able to run on a variety of systems and still look good. I have played that demo to death! Playing it highest setting's, 1920x1200, physX on high, it look's so good at solid 30 fps.

All I know is when this game comes out it is going to be awesome. I just hope that which is the demo is NOT the first level of the game lol.
Batman Arkham Asylum PC demo out.
