Only problem is Danger Close is EA, just as DICE is EA. While it seems Danger Close did make a good game with MOH, I just wouldn't have faith for it to continue.
I'm not trying to be negative, but it just seems to me, any company that is acquired by EA, Activision or Zenimax eventually just goes to crap. Eidos, 2K (even though they use PhysX garbage) and THQ seem to be the last huge publishers left that I don't abhore atm. I just hope other companies will consider self publishing and just go pure digital with Steam or GoG, rather than dealing with Publishers who spend all their money on marketing and box art etc. Youtube, Twitch, and other free forms of marketing are more effective than what EA, Activision are wasting their money on anyway.

oh my, is Death Valley really THAT blue or it's tweaked in the video to look super ugly? i don't have Armored Kill, so i never played on these new maps.Last edited by a moderator: May 12, 2015 -
Has anyone complaining about the blue tint ever been outside at night? Real life has a blue tint in low light.
-
My guess he applied a blue filter on top after recording but i only added the video because of the song.
This one better shows the difference between tint and no tint.

They sky maybe but not the entire world, and it's off in the distance, more like in the video DEagleson showed in the video above.
-
See, now that second video turns Death Valley from a nighttime map to a daytime map and it looks stupid. I'd be happy with just a little less blue, but that tint is what gives the map the whole "night" feel to it. Without the tint, the reflections from the moon are pointless. Might as well put the damn sun up there instead.
-
In the evening everything has a blue tinge. I don't understand how this is jarring to people. The absurd lens flare is far more distracting imo
-

^ i cannot agree more.
-
I dunno about you, but looking outside this evening there was no blue tinge here. I see colors. Lots and lots of colors.
I don't know why it matters to you because (a) it was going to be optional so you could just leave it and (b) they give it the ixnay. -
darxide_sorcerer Notebook Deity
i'm all about options, don't get me wrong. and it would have been awesome if DICE had implemented that option. i just don't think the game looks as terrible as some claim, and also my biggest complain about the game's looks is the lens flare, not the blue tint.
-
Lens flare is problematic, but imho so is the blue tint. Even though it doesn't blind you, it just hampers your immersion.
-
You might want to make an appointment with an eye doctor. Even in dim light, the real world has colors, not blue tint. Blue tint doesn't just magically appear. Seriously, go make an appointment with a doc.
-
Relax. Realistic or not, I actually think some maps look better with the color grading, like Armored Shield. I tried playing it w/o the color grading and it just looked cartoony, especially the terrain decoration on the ground.
-
I don't mind the tint. I really don't notice them on my screen nor on anyone's screenshot.
I wear transition lens so everything has a grey tint when I step outside.
So kinda realistic??
-
Real life has colors and in the evening those colors take on a blue tinge. I don't know how I could explain this any clearer. I'm not the one with the eye problem here.
-
Got one for MOHW yet the last was great, bravo
-
No that's not how colors work. Just because light becomes dim or evening, they don't magically get a blue tinge. You need your eyes checked.
FYI in the evening, it starts to get black, not blue. Also the sun as it sets turns to a darker orange/red, not blue. Seriously need your eyes checked. -

ok, can we stop fighting please? it's just a video game!
-
oh no you didn't.. you just started a new fight, good job
-
Do you guys think BF4 will result in the same feeling as Modern Warfare 3 to Modern Warfare 2? A lot of people, including myself, felt that MW3 was more of an update than a new game ... debatable of whether or not it was worth $60.

BF3 Approved!

I wouldn't do it ._.
Too much risk involved -
Yes, no, maybe so?

Lol you have no idea how light works. Twilight is known as "the blue hour" by photographers because the ambient light takes on a blue tint, making objects appear to have a bluish tinge to them. Obviously things don't magically turn blue as the sun goes down. Thanks, though. This is a pointless discussion.

Using 306.97 and BF3 is rock stable
No crashes compared to 306.02 or the horrendous .23
Tried rush, conquest and TDM on Noshar/Kharg/Caspian
ASUS GT 630M 2GB DDR3
810MHz/1114MHz (GPU-Z reads 1113.8Mhz

Over the past few weeks I have noticed that I am playing more and more of close quarter maps over the big 64 player maps on pc. This is not because I don't enjoy big maps but my lust for unlocking all the gun parts is so strong that I find playing on close quarter for the sake of unlocking more efficient.
-
I do this on metro and noshar /:
I don't have the $ to buy premium or CQ -
i only play noshar now. big maps are just too big to run for 5 minutes and then get snipered.
-
Yeah, it's usually Noshahr Canals or Kharg Island for me.
-
In Noshahr, I would usually use the holo/Underbarrel (M320)/HBAR
For Kharg, I prefer the x6 rifle scope somehow. The layout of the map makes the red dot/holo kinda useless
Both configs on the M416
-
Likewise. I'm not a fan of the CQ maps (Scrapmetal is terrible), but I want to unlock as much as possible. I think I may be done with Metro completely unless the server doesn't allow explosives. The stalemates are annoying as hell. I'm just unlocking stuff from the top down on my "Weapons" list, though, lol.

I thought this video was funny. Title is misleading, but still entertaining.
Might want to turn the sound down if children are present.

EDIT2: Found somebody saying
Does this mean I can get Premium+Give a BF3 standard key to a friend? Have anybody tried? -

^ that's why it's called "Premium Edition" and not "Premium".

Ooh, should've read the comments thoroughly /:
Sorry about that
I can't find the buy/add to cart button, do I have to install capsule? (GMG drm software)

just scroll up the page, there's a big green "Buy Now" button. click on it, and then add the discount code given in the SlickDeals website.
-
I can find it in the SlickDeals web, but the GMG browser page does not have the buy now/add to cart button

Seems like it comes with 2 keys, so you can always gift the base game to someone if already own Bf3
