im gtting a crash back to desktop almost every game with these. was the same with the last whql and also the latest posted on clevo website.

 

i used to have problems like this on the beta. I even thought it may be my internet connection. After getting back to the stable driver that solved the issue,

You guys seem to be having a lot of trouble with BF3/Origin lately. I haven't had any issues (which is weird because usually, with my luck, I'm the one requiring assistance, lol).

Aftermath doesn't look too bad. Knew they were going to use the same level as they had in single player, but at least I have an idea of what it looks like.

Crossbow: Offensive weapon or BF2: Special Forces-style? Hopefully it's the latter rather than the former

New vehicles: One of those flatbed trucks with an MG in the back and perhaps a small, non-militarized urban vehicle, at the least (something similar to the ATV?).

Hopefully some more Co-Op missions, as well. I do rather like those and hope they stay in the franchise. They just need to add more features to it (like chat!).

 

I am waiting for Black Ops players to flame BF3 because it has the crossbow

update so far on this, its crap

tried about 8-10 servers now and they all seem to do the same crash but theres no pattern to it as i can have one full round without crashes and then have 2 or 3 in the next round.

finally managed to get some video clips so here ya go:

tried 3 different drivers now but i guess it could be something to do with optimus, im just not sure.
no problems with any other game and all the single campaigns including B3 played flawlessness.

i thought that especially with the last video. that was a totally different senario. it crashed to desktop the same but when i closed battlelog there was an error box about nvidia and nvidia inspector was greyed out saying no graphics card found. thats the first time its done that. i then got a red box when i tried to open nvidia control panel saying no graphics card found.

its strange that all other games play perfectly on highest settings. even black ops has no stutter whats so ever compared to when i used to play it on my m860tu with a 260gtx gpu.

2 days ago i received an email from BT service provider that they are running a test this month as in the past they would cap connection if you was running a p2p download and this month only they would not drop speeds what so ever for this month only.

this is what i get. its normally just touching 5mb even though it should be upto 20mb but im too far from the exchange.

 

I keep getting the You were disconnected from EA Online (1) error... no fix apparently, tried everything, even support

ive never had that error that Jaug gets with ea online.

 

It's a step up from "error: something went wrong", I must say.

 

I did everything.

Still getting that error. Even contacted live support, they fixed it for 1 GAME and then the error came back. Literally tried everything, re-installed, host file, updated, virtual box, internet settings etc

I give up, not going to buy Warfighter until EA fixes this

 

What drivers are you using for M18x 580M SLI? Im currently using 304.79 and getting lot of drops in FPS.
The game literally freezes for few secs and resumes at 60fps...

 

drivers ive tried so far are:
302.71 (default that came with lappy)
306.23
302.92
back to 302.71
and then back to 302.92

these crashes back to desktop and running on the spot freezes only occur with B3 multiplayer. single was fine all the way through.
ive tried cod mw2 single and multi, blops single and multi, cod mw3 single and multi, B2 single but not multi as i got so fed up with being snipered i gave up on that game.

 

I get this too with 304.79/306.02/306.23/306.97. Now using 302.77, seems to work exactly the same way as 302.92, and both are rock solid, and absolutely no sudden FPS drop in BF3. Also I found one thing that's pretty weird with the 306.97, when I was using 306.97 and OC using Msi afterburner, the max core clock oc'd (+135) using stock vbios only goes to 849MHz, in 302.77 it goes to 853.4MHz, really weird.

 

Hmmm, I guess I need to give a shot to 302.92. Are you guys using the official Nvidia drivers?
In the website, the series is like 301.42 and 304.48. There is no 302 series??

 

With my GTX675M (pretty much a better 580M), I used the 304.79. Worked great. 306.23 were terrible, but now I'm using 306.97 and they're great! Try them!

Yup! I never had any kind of FPS drops, and on Op Firestorm, I was playing at 35-100 FPS, only to realize I was completely maxed up, as opposed to the avg of 30-32 on 306.23. Put down HBAO to SSAO and ot went up to avg of 40-60.

 

Seems like only the old fermi GPUs benefit from 306 series. Really makes GTX680M run bad in BF3, way too much sudden FPS drop. 306.02/306.23/306.97 all look the same.

It's downloaded from Clevo site under P150EM/P170EM/P370EM.

 

Can you post a direct link for that? All I could find was Windows 8 drivers and 680M version?

Only install it if you have a GTX680M (302.92/302.77) or a K3000M (302.92). There was no release of 302.77/302.92 for GTX 675M.

Didn't realise it was you who has the 580M sli, you should probably also include your spec in your signature .

Seems Dice will offer the option to disable the blue tint with the next planned update.

Battlefield 3 colour grading can now be turned off in options

Might actually try the game out again then, because the linked screenies look friggen amazing.

 

Is the blue tint that much of an issue for people? I don't understand why people messed with/complained about it in the first place. One more feature DICE has to fix and it will probably supersede more important fixes.

 

Great find DEagleson! I don't use the IRNV scope any more so no major loss there for me.

 

i never play Operation Metro and rarely play Grand Bazar, so i personally don't care about the blue tint. what i wished DICE would tweak a bit was the lens flare.

 

Not much of a problem, but it does actually make the game look better.
I just like colours, thats all.

I've been waiting for a lens/sun glare fix. I've seen enough threads/posts/etc on it I'm surprised I've not seen one thing mentioned by DICE.

 

That probably goes deeper into the engine and would be more difficult to patch. At least from experience working in the cryengine. Actually no it wouldn't. But if you've ever seen game developers, they take a lot of pride in their lens flare the guy in charge of cryengine 3 spoke for like half an hour about their new lens flare... EYES DON'T RECEIVE LENSE FLARE!

On another note, always a fun question. What're people preferred kits atm? I've recently fallen in love with the L86 lmg with laser sight, fore grip and holo sight. Awesome gun for conquest domination. I'm also still obsessed with the m39 with nearly 1100 kills. So good.

 

^ for support, i recently started to use M27 IAR with bipods, Kobra RDS, and laser sights. i really like it, especially the very fast reload times. for assault, i used to carry F2000 with Kobra RDS and heavy barrel, but am not using M4A3 with Kobra RDS. i think i equally like both guns.

 

Well, the game tweaker remove the lens flare on the sun. It can do a whole lot more other than changing colors around.

I love using the lens flare of the sun since I use the jet often. But lately, I been easily getting shot down while in that flare.

So basically they went with "Screw you all, we dont need to change it?", well guess what Dice, there is a new player on the battlefield and thats Danger Close.
Look at them and see how its really done, and since they did the MP part without Dice this time it dont suck either.
