    I made over $60 in tips tonight...I'm pre-ordering after I go to the bank :)

    I'm going to pre-order from Origin. Anyone else find it funny that the Physical Warfare pack is only available for pre-orders of the digital download edition? :p

    I know, but on the Origin BF3 page, it specifically states that you only get the PWP if you pre-order the digital edition, not retail :p

    okay, THATS... dumb . ...i mean im a good ol CD guy, so i ordered the physical copy, and because of that i dont get the physical warfare pack? booo.

    edit: can anyone double check or show me proof that it says only digital copy's will get the physical warefare pack? i tried to shoot an email to EA, but my connection messes up once i do so.

    It's only a "little bit" exclusive. Different retailers have different preorder perks. You can preorder via gamestop and get the physical warfare pack as well. All preorders get the expansion.

    You'll have to preorder from gamestop to get the bonuses. I would preorder from amazon or bestbuy if you still want bonuses and a physical copy, and want to minimize trouble.

    I would guess that it would run the game at high settings with 60+fps. This is based off what I have heard about how well it ran for other people playing in the Alpha.

    Are you sure about that? For PC you are required to pre-purchase from Origin to get in the beta. What are the requirements for Xbox and PS3? If anyone can get it in then that seems kinda pretentious to require purchase from Origin on the PC.

    Oh yeah saw that video. Marketing, pure marketing. I'm sure if you want good detail at high res a GTX 580 will be required. But running at 720p with low/medium detail most notebook dedicated GPU's will probably suffice.

    Isn't it funny that with the Call Of Duty series people want a different game?

    But with the Battlefield series, people want the same features from BF2 like Commander.

    To be fair, BF2 is what, nearly 8 years old? I remember it looking good at the time, but now it looks like crap graphics wise, and now we have the tech to make it look great and have bigger detailed maps. Difference is that CoD has been reusing everything, even the same engine, for 4+ years..

    It's approaching the point of sports games like madden where it is literally the same exact game year over year with a new label and 40 lines of code added.

    Right. Some games don't need to be annual remakes. Just add some DLC and work for 3-4 years on a revamped engine.

    Battlefield 2 was released on June 21, 2005, so more like 6 years old. As for graphics you should check out both Project Reality and Forgotten Hope 2, both mods have pushed the BF2 engine to the edge graphically and feature wise.
