    So, it is safe to say that my PC is safe to run BF3 with at least medium settings, DX10 at 720p? If so, I'm gonna pre order now.

    Just haven't been on much. Been busy with kiddies and trying to get my life back in order. Finally trying to get back to some semblance of a real life, like work, friends, etc. That and my new HP laptop has been keeping me busy with doing mods and overclocking it. :p But come BF3, I'll be glued to my PC every chance I can get! lol

    Although I find it odd that a trailer for a SP campaign would say commencing 9/16 for MP Beta. Unless beta will be SP too, but I doubt that. Me thinks it's a demo. One week and counting...

    The last trailer looked pretty lame. That looked nothing like Tehran what-so-ever. Aside from the buildings and landscape, the area surrounding the city is much more mountainous than that and I don't mean sandy hills. I also love how they placed the "Borj Milad" on flat ground in the middle of the city while in reality it is located somewhere on a hillside at the outskirts of the city. In the video you can also see a duplicate of the building on the far left which doesn't make any sense.

    I understand its only a game and it would be impossible to make entire cities in detail, but those mistakes are part of the big picture. I'm going to assume the DICE crew didn't bother to Google "Tehran" let-alone visit the city.

    Well G73 is really the only choice here I guess, since a refurbished one only cost around $900.

    What I am wondering is how much will i7 and 460m differ from my core 2 duo and 9800mgts? Cos I heard bf3, just like bc2, depends on cpu a lot which i7 could be in great help.

    It'll be a big upgrade. At least 50% faster in all games, and much faster in BF3.

    Should handle medium settings @ 1080p.

    Key should be emailed to you especially since BF3 will require Origin to play. Usually these are weekend deals, but it's called the National Courtesy Month and no expiration specified on D2D's site. There'll probably be other deals if you miss out on this one - there's still a month before BF3 is released.

    The 540M is a little weaker than my 5730, therefore, I bet it'll get around 30+ FPS on 720p on med-low.

    For the ppl in the alpha you guys rekon an i7 720Qm is enough? (paired with a 6970m) I had a tough time with the 720QM with bc2 on high, i could only play it on medium for that 60fps avg.
