    I know but I love shooting bots. They don't moan, n00btube, complain, teamkill, lone wolf, shout in the mic, camp and so much more.

    In BC2, Hardcore mode removes most of the HUD and minimap, reduces player health to 60% compared to non-HC, removes 3D spotting (triangles no longer appear over people's heads in-game, but still show up on the map if you pull it up), and health does not self-regenerate; if you get hurt, you will stay hurt until you find a Medic.

    well this sucks, BF3 beta was suppose to come out today (ALL Consoles) but since XBOX is taking their sweet damn time, they're killing it for PS3 and PC gamers ! not cool man, not cool !...

    i dont think so... remember battlefield 2 had tons of maps to choose from, and it worked out well. (granted, there was only one mode to the game)

    I kind of agree on this. When I was playing BFBC2, I only played HC modes and I've noticed that most hardcore BF2 players absolutely hated the non-hardcore mode while some just stuck to it and never played Hardcore. Btw if anyone's getting BF3 and want to play together in the future add me. :)

    You can still add the .exe as a non-Steam game to have the Steam Community in-game feature.

    Although I wouldn't be surprised if Punkbuster kicks for it, since it's not natively a Steam title like BFBC2 was, and PB is a piece of crap.

    I seem to remember PB kicking for running the steam overlay in BF2142, so I wouldn't be surprised if it did with BF3.

    I am pretty sure that is fake, just because of the thing they try to get you to do to get the key. I sincerely hope that EA would not pull crap like that in order to get a beta key.

    To be honest, two seater jets wouldn't make much sense unless it's a bomber. Few real jets these days are two seaters unless they are bombers. The F-14, pretty much retired, was well known as a two-seater, but it was also a long range attack aircraft, less of a fighter... but I digress.

    The two seaters in Battlefield 2 were kind of irritating, and with the way a lot of people played, just meant you lost two tickets instead of one :D

    They didn't have two seater jets in BF2 did they? Two seater choppers for sure, and that makes sense, but two seater jets? I don't recall. But my geriatric brain might have forgotten, lol.

    Every time I get into a UH or another transport chopper that seats 6 people. I pray to god the pilot can at least takeoff the chopper without it crashing into a tree or a post and killing everyone on board. Probably the biggest gamble when I play BF.

    I am a very good pilot, and I only crash, sometimes ofcourse, after takeoff. The rage is so rewarding... And yes, I have been a victim too, and I always laugh at the crash :p

    It is quite sad that 90% of players in BC2 seem unable to even take off in the helicopter without crashing it nose first into a tree.

    DICE better sort of joystick controls BEFORE they release BF3, because I never ended up setting up mine in BC2 because they didn't work at the beginning. I am not sure if they work now, but it doesn't really matter because the helicopters can be flow decently with a mouse and/or keyboard.

    However, I AM NOT flying jets with my mosue and keyboard. DICE please don't disappoint me...

    The helicopters can be flown decently for BC2, because the maps are so small, but if you try to do true nap of the earth and popup flying so as not to get shot down, a mouse and KB will be woefully inadequate.

    Yes I realize that joystick is better; I can only fly at the most basic level with mouse and keyboard. Usually I am just a gunner, since it is much easier to get kills. If I could set up my joystick properly in the game perhaps I would fly helis much, but given how powerful the AA is (and how fast it respawns) it almost isn't worth it.

    F-15E? Man, that brings me back to my Microprose "F-15 Strike Eagle III" flight sim days in DOS, switching back and forth between seats to do stuff. :p
    There really should be a mandatory flight training course before you're allowed to pilot a jet or chopper in multiplayer. At the very least, make it easy to start an empty listen server to let people figure it out on their own before using populated 32-man servers as their own private flight school.

    It's why I just take the pilot seat first; I may not be a professional, but at least I can get a Blackhawk off the ground and into a good circle-strafe pattern for my door gunners, even if I do inevitably catch a lucky and completely unavoidable AT-4 ten seconds into it.

    I agree there should be a flight school practice session / tutorial that's required to be completed before they're allowed to hop in the jets. I'd like the ability to practice too without having to fight for a jet. It's stupid.

    And yeah, I usually took the Blackhawk too. On Wake Island I could at least get us within distance of land so we had a fighting chance.

    Wake Island is the best map ever made in the Battlefield series. It's fit for anything really, hardcore tank battles, dogfights in jets, sea battles and tight sniper and infantry battles.

    If Wake Island ain't in BF3...I will eat every employee at EA and DICE and dance around...NAKED!

    the requirements changed for PC guys, just a heads up. it looks like it will be more demanding than we first thought:

    More Info:
    -Game mode (for beta): Rush
    -Map (for beta): Operation Metro
    -Ranks will NOT carry over from Beta.
    -For the people who are getting the Digital Version, you guys get it on the 27th.
