Shouldnt we be hearing Austrailia Early Access BETA by now?

I forgot to pre-order yesterday lol got to wait untill Thursday, never mind.

Get my watercooling kit delivered tomorrow, so i can have that setup in time for thursday.

 

I really hope that those optimizations are also on AMD...

 

AMD already announced they would be releasing a special driver for BF3...check out CatalystMaker on Twitter.

 

I know, but I want that amount of percentage of increase... 38% is A LOT!

 

Has the early Beta already started? Anybody got cd-key for it?
I have preordered the Limited Edition a month ago and haven't received the key yet

 

I don't think you will get a key, it will probably just become available in your Origin account.

On that note, I realized that when I bought on Newegg it was a direct sale to EA, because my purchase history shows no indication of it, but it shows up in my Origin account, so perhaps I get early beta access!

 

it depends on where you are starting from. I would guess the previous nvidia drivers had some specific issue(s) with BF3, so the 38% increase represents a resolution of that problem, not magic.

 

38% is a lot, but check the notes: "based on GTX580" they haven't even modified the note in the notebook version... those numbers sounds like marketing and nothing more

Hmm, interesting. I figured it out. I pre-ordered from Origin originally for the $59.99. Then I found it at newegg for $47.99, so I cancelled my Origin order and ordered from Newegg. Seems they kept BF3 in my account anyhow. Hopefully this means early beta access.

Why did you get watercooling? I got my 2500K up to 4.3 Ghz on air and my temperatures are still pretty good; after an hour of prime95 one of the cores was at 62C and the others were a little lower; and this was in the middle of the summer.

Can't wait to download it... This is the only game that I waited since it was announced. Hope it'll run fluently on acceptable details.

I'm still rocking the intel stock cooler, and it sucks, water cooling is the way forward, it's not a major custom water cooled setup it's a Corsair H60 Hydro.

I will be overclocking quite a bit and this will do the job at keeping temps down, plus i got it cheap.

 

As nVidia's page says:
"Want to play Battlefield 3 on a notebook?
Look for notebooks with a GeForce GTX 560M GPU or higher."

That's maybe the worst thing I can read today...

BTW it's not a matter of richness! Is a matter of principle. If GTX560m will be considered the minimum to play BF3, then I will skip BF3 ^_^ (at least until the new GPUs are released)

 

Oh come on. This is exactly the same thing as "Nvidia, the way it's meant to be played." They WANT you to see that and go "OH NOES" and run out to buy a new PC with a brand spanking new GTX 570 or 580. MARKETING.

It was like a one day deal about a month ago.

Exactly. 560m to play it at 1080p and medium detail perhaps. But 720p at low/medium details most "gaming" laptops (i.e. medium level dedicated GPU) from the last year or so I'm sure will manage.

 

I hope that my GTx 260M will run it...

 

I think you guys are overestimating how demanding the game will be. I'm sure an overclocked 580M/6990M can hit high on 1080P... may not even need to overclock.
Speculations will be confirmed/disproved tomorrow though, so it's all good.

 

Well, if a 560M is minimum, I've had it but either way I'm saving up now for a Clevo with a 580M, or a 680M when it's released.

 

It will. The Happy Swede has a GTX260M, and ran alpha on high at 20 FPS avg at 1080p. Not OC'd.

All this spec overestimation is funny. Shobster, with my card, ran the alpha on medium at 30 FPS average at 768p.

The GTX560M would be a minimum if played at DX11.

 

My goal is the 1680x1050, and medium without aa or aniso.

I believe it is the internal beta test. DICE's doing some last minute preps from their home, not their offices, and maybe they're transmitting.

 

I keep trying to login and it says that I am not allowed. I have early access for sure I pre-ordered from Origin and I own a first hand copy of MOH Digital Deluxe Edition(MOH LE + Hot Zone Map pack and other perks) I still have not received an E-Mail with a beta key.

 

Yeah, I noticed it that too, I was like "EA just punched Activision's face SO HARD!"

 

You'll get an email first. Then, I think you'll use the key within the email and redeem in Origin. And only after that you'll be able to login.

EDIT : In that live stream, he got killed by a guy called "LfTAD_EA". This is definitely the internal testing.

What are the requirements to get in on the beta? I won't have the money to pre-order anything until at least this Friday.

Hopefully my 5730 can play this at least at 720p on low.

 

It's OPEN beta starting 9/29 which means EVERYONE. AFAIK only requirement is to install Origin and have a PC capable of playing it.

 

You guys will LOVE THIS, specially PC elitists :



You can even change FOV FROM THE MENU! And ambient occlusion, and 2 types of AA, mesh, terrain... A true PC game!

 

Where's the option to turn off bloom? They always overdo it with their games.
