The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Age of Empires II. Countless hours of my life have been lost to that during lan. My friend yelling "I AM SAURON, KING OF MORDOOR!"... we played a LOTR map, of course.

    CoD (not sure if it's pre 2004) - Such tight perfect controls. The multiplayer was so intense.. then there was TWL and CAL (o).. oh good times.

    Diablo and Starcraft. I had a roommate that stayed up all night multiple times playing Starcraft.

    I also remember a bunch of us downloading one of the Quake demos in the computer lab and playing into the wee hours of the night numerous times.
