With my Ghost class I always head towards those and destroy them and anyone unlucky to be in my way.
The game runs perfect for me.
My bro has the Sager NP8662 (C2D 2.7GHz & 260M GTX) and it seems the patch fixed the lag and lag spikes for him. I watched him play just now and everything runs smoothly on his notebook with no lag finally!
edit: this patch seems to have improved people's ping as well.I played a few rounds and most people have good pings (less than 100) while before patch there are always people with 150+ ping in the servers I played in.
Found the patch notes here too: http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1578882Attached Files:

Yeah, the patch fixed nothing performance wise for me, unfortunately.

If I got this for my lappy, would I be able to play with 360 folks or only PC users?
-
PC only. Sorry.

Still enjoying MOH.

So I tried Black Ops MP today. It's just like Modern Warfare 2. The graphics and general gameplay are the same. The only difference are the guns and maps. I'm glad I didn't drop $60 on this rehash of a game.
-
-
CoD's MP has always been like this and it's not a bad thing because the MP is awesome when most things are done right (unlike MW2) IMO.
Right now I'm liking Black Op's MP even more than the great MW1's MP and BC2. -
I had to disagree this game is anything like MW2. That games multiplayer was terrible. The maps were extremely small, nade and nade tube filled, and offered no cover. Black Ops is much more like the original modern warfare. The maps are larger, there are dedicated servers and you can definitely tell the difference, there are large amounts of cover and the maps are interesting, weapons offer good recoil and feedback. Also they gave us back leaning and prone, which definitely makes a difference for me. The last huge thing for me, is the fact that kill streaks are not compounded!!! Finally there isn't a freaking chopper, air strike, etc. every 5 seconds, and players getting 20 kill streaks. The game actually has some strategy and fun again. Just my two cents.
Also, I barely had any lag at all on my MSI GX660 pre-patch with i5 450m and 5870m. Played at 4x AA, 8xish AF, High everything else and get 50-92(max) FPS in full servers. Now with the new patch my performance is even better, extremely smooth. Before the patch my performance was almost just as good, but I would get an occasional hiccup (felt like 1sec lag spike) but nowhere near unplayable. Post patch no hiccups. The game is great fun and worth the $60 if you were a fan of MW1. -
Apparently there is an FPS cap to 80; cl_maxfps "120" will help fix the problem if anyone wants to try it out.
EDIT: I just wondered about that Nova Gas Perk... pointless? What's the PRO version of it? -
Pro Ability: Tactical Mask Pro reduces the effects of flashbangs and concussion grenades, it also reveals the position of a flashed or stunned enemy. -
yesterday at 5pm it was still lag city in the uk. i started setting a clan server up which had the same lag. while getting used to the server set up i noticed steam downloaded a patch for multiplayer and slowly the lag got a little better. still not brilliant but on the right tracks. 3 or 4 more patches please so we can get this game lag free and start to enjoy it.
-
Weirdly after the patch the game ran perfectly for me ._.
-
thats good to hear Reizo BUT have you used a gun since. reported that its lag free until you start shooting a gun and the lags still noticable.
-
Well I'm the one who usually gets shot down really
but I test fired randomly at my friends and the lag's not as noticable as before really ._.
That is until someone's missile dropped on my head... -
lol, i bet that hurt.
-
But as far as I understand, it is better but yet not perfect? -
Here is a mini game i found thats like alien swarm built into black ops
YouTube - Call of duty black ops DOA Dead ops arcade mini game cheat
how to get to it is in the description. -
My biggest gripe with BO is the spawning locations... I mean, sure, I am new and need to learn the maps, but I get killed more because I think I am safe, but I turn around and 4 enemies are gunning me down already.
I think spawn like in BFBC2 would be much better. When they are random loations, a lot of tactics are thrown out the window.
You guys agree? -
Tactics? What Tactics? Call of Duty have been lacking Tactics more and more with every installment. Many people have talked about how great the original Call of Duty is, and tactics have since diminished from there. Don't believe me? Why are like 70% + users using SMG's, are there really a whole lot of tactics behind that reason?
I'm not complaining about the lack of Tactics in COD:BO, I'm just saying you don't play this game anymore for the tactics, it's an Arcade Shooter, and treat it as such. People play the game for the simple fact that it's fun, it's mindless fun, period. The Game along with all COD series games should NEVER be compared to other military shooters. From the console port, to the style, and speed, the game screams Arcade Shooter. -
So tactics is the new word for "luck" now eh
-
-
There's barely any speed in that throw after the 2 bounces!
-
Ugh, lost a bunch of levels today because the server couldn't sync up... also lost some 10k :| Reading around it looks like I'm not the only one this happened to today. Anyone here suffer anything like that?
-
Naw, it's really about blowin' people up and raising your self esteem! -
I played back-ops for the xbox 360 and i could honestly tell you i would rather play it for the PC. I don't know how anyone could seriously play a FPS M.P on a console.
-
I could only play about 5 rounds of Black Ops, and I ultimately went back to MoH I don't know what the deal is but I enjoy MoH alot more.
from the Sector Contols to the Mission Objectives.
-
only about 100 servers loading out of 10s of thousands. official website down and steam forum is overloaded with 50 odd pages of complaints.
just another day for cod -
-
...
I try connecting through matchmaking (on PC) and it always says couldn't connect to match. Then my whole internet stops working, while I can still contact friends through steam. WHAT GIVES!??!?! -
i cant even join or open my OWN server, lol.
-
thats no good lol
-
And suddenly, Bobby jumps into NBR to this thread and say "THIS IS WHY WE DON'T PUT DEDICATED SERBURS"
-
Wow, I had plans to buy this game... But if MP does not work as it should, I think better be off for a bit longer..
-
I'm a level 6. I think CoD 1 multiplayer is 5X better -

I have been working to help many with issues in this game. I still have lag! Low ping servers, lower than say 60ms and I still get lag. It gets very frustrating sometimes.
It's still pretty fun. I still prefer bfbc2. It's just my preference. Larger maps, better graphics, destruction, teamwork, etc...
I tell you, my favorite feature so far is the ability to buy weapons and updates. Helps a lot. The other is offline combat mode (against bots). Kick the hardness level up and it is really fun.

Question about Ping.....
My ping has been crap lately.(75ms-150ms+)
Would this have a large effect on in game performance? I play COD4 on the Xbox and I haven't noticed a huge difference when my ping is awful. Would ping be a bigger factor versus map knowledge and actual "skills" on PC? -
I Don't know call me Crazy, but somehow between this game and MoH, I'm enjoing MoH alot better. I think any BFBC2 player who enjoyed it, should seriously consider picking up MoH. I'm willing to bet you won't be dissapointed, especially if you liked Bad Company. MoH is basically the same thing but with COH like action and intensity. For the individual who do not like BFBC, stay away from MoH, you'll hate this as well.

After the two patches released, the game runs much better than on the release day. But, it still does not run as smoothly as it should. Lag spikes are still present, just not as much and not as significant as before. I would recommend waiting until this issue is fixed (if it can be fixed) before buying it if you haven't already.

Wow, I finally loaded up multi player after playing single player all week, and I'm SHOCKED at the lag! I get random framerate issues in singleplayer, but overall plays just fine...
BUT multiplayer online is ridiculous... the framerate isn't even jumping around, it's staying above 50 and even during the lagging, the framerate is staying smooth, yet the entire game is stuttering, skipping and lagging like crazy... almost to the point of being unplayable, and definitely unenjoyable.
The wierd thing is it really doesn't appear to be framerate related like in singleplayer, as the framerate is staying steady according to FRAPS, but the game is lagging/stuttering like crazy.
This is during online ranked matches in games with under 15 people and all pings are reported around ~60-90ms.
As a direct comparison, MW1, MW2, BFBC2, and MOH all run perfectly, so there's definitely a problem with CODBOs...
This is all on my G73 and latest test was last night after an update downloaded for the game.
EDIT: Multi mode with bots and no online players runs fine, similar to singleplayer. -
be77solo, have you tried the trick on first page?
