    Blizzard's new splash page.....what new game?

    I doubt it is WoW related as WotLK is already announced and I doubt it's Starcraft related as they promised to announce a brand new game. I still have my fingers crossed for Diablo3, but we'll have to wait and see.

    Lol this is really funny. WOW really tainted the name of warcraft by getting over 6million people to play the game every day. After a few years gtime the games player base is still growing...That sure sounds liek they made a mistake with that one.

    Honestly, WOW did not taint anything. It just made blizzard enough money that they can continue to produce nice little jewls of games for many years to come. Quit yer *****in, you'll get your RTSs and others will get their MMORPGS. The only downside I can forsee is that blizzard will never release a regular RPG.

    I don't think it's Diablo. The guy with the sword looks like the Prince from Warcraft III-The Frozen Throne (forgot his name), and the sword is definitely Frostmourne. The red monster does look like Diablo though, and the spider-lady I have no idea of. Could it be a new MMO combining the Diablo and Warcraft worlds?

    Uh, isn't that "spider lady" the Zerg Queen? I think that banner just highlights the 3 main Blizzard franchises, nothing special.

    You haven't played Starcraft? I highly recommend you pick it up immediately. It's like not knowing what star wars is. The fact that Diablo is featured on the poster, and is front and center, leads me to believe that Diablo 3 is indeed an upcoming title.

    It's too futuristic for my taste. I like games that are based in the present or past. A futuristic RTS is just too out there......same reason why I don't like the C&C series of games. Besides, I honestly don't know much about the Star Wars story either. :p

    Although I am disappointed that there will be no mass-disappointment across the internet due to the lack of a D3 announcement... I was listening to some Dark Tranquility when the splash was loading and that worked out nicely.

    Blizzard has only unveiled 2 of D3's classes so far: The Barbarian, and the Witch Doctor (necro replacement). I can't wait to see the new Amazon and Assassin revisions.

    The gamespot commentary for the movies mentioned many of the skills of the Witch Doctor which are reminiscent of D2's necromancer, the only tree they left out was the bone tree.

    Not jumping to conclusions as such, but like xatos said the necromancer has either been replaced or is severely overhauled for entirely different gameplay.

    I'd agree the necro is probably gone. But honestly, it was the least popular class IMO, and as it was the one class I never got past 70 or so, I'm not sad to see him go :p

    Anyway YES DIABLO3 HAHAHA see you in 2012 :)
