IMO the m11x is best, it looks SWEET! And the video cards a re pretty close in performance.
-
The 5650 is too weak, in regards to taking advantage of DX11. You'll likely never be able to use the feature.
The downside to the M11x is it's weak CPU. -
my desktop 5770 can get crushed at DX11, so i wouldn't even think about using the 5650 at all to render anything in DX11. nice features, but you're not going to be able to turn up the eye candy without watching a powerpoint presentation...

What kind of performance can I expect from the GTX260M on this game?
I've seen some threads on other forums that talk about not-so-good performance that's solved by disabling PhysX.
Does anyone know about that?
Sry, I've just seen that my question got moved here.
The rest of my specs are the following:
Asus G72GX
1600x900 native res
C2D P8700 2.53 Ghz
6 GB RAM
GTX 260M
Windows 7 x64 Home Premium -
depends on your cpu
-
If you have the 260m you can try it for free on steam right now. still 22 hours left to play for free.

Hi guys. I have a dell xps m1530 laptop with following configuration:
Intel core 2 duo cpu, T8100@ 2.1 Ghz.
3 gb ram, nvidia geforce 8600m gt
32 bit operating system, windows vista Home premium service pack 2.
I would like to know if i can run COD BO with above configuration?
If not, please recommend a configuration for a Desktop pc, which will do me good for atleast a couple of years. I really need to play this game no matter what.
Please advise.
Thanks
PS : I have successfully run & played COD MW2 and GTA 4 on the above laptop, albeit with some delay/hang throughout. -
Black ops minimum specs:
OS: Windows® Vista / XP / 7
Processor: Intel® Core™2 Duo E6600 or AMD Phenom™ X3 8750 or better
Memory: 2GB
Graphics: Shader 3.0 or better 256MB NVIDIA® GeForce® 8600GT / ATI Radeon® X1950Pro or better
DirectX®: DirectX® 9.0c
Hard Drive: 12GB*
Sound: DirectX® 9.0c-compatible -
So is the E6600 higher or lower configuration than T8100?
Also, how do we find out the shader version?
From the above list of configs, my laptop will just make the cut for minimum system requirements. Should i expect a lot of hang/delay ingame? -
e6600 is a bit faster cpu. I would still think your laptop could run the game but it might require lower settings and lowering the resolution.
-
Can my config run Crysis Warhead at max high settings? It will be here this week sometime.

Hi guys, I checked the reply's but couldn't find the answer to my problem.. (perhaps because I don't know that much about graphic cards ect =s =p...)
So here is what I was wondering:
would my laptop be able to run Napoleon: Total war?
here are the details of my laptop:
HP Elitebook 8540p
CPU: intel (R) Core (TM) i5 CPU M540 @ 2,53 Ghz 2,53 Ghz
RAM: 16 GB 1333 MHz DDR3 SDRAM (I see here 16GB, but when I check the info at "my computer" it says I have 4 GB ram and 2,99GB available..)
display: 15.6" diagonal LED-backlit HD anti-glare; 15.6" diagonal LED-backlit HD+ WVA anti-glare
garphics: NVIDIA NVS 5100M graphics with 1 GB dedicated DDR3 memory
For more information you can check this site: HP EliteBook 8540p Notebook PC specifications - HP Small & Medium Business products
Would my laptop be able to run Napoleon Total war without being extremily slow or crach or things like that? I hope you can help me out guys
Thanks in advance
Wama
Btw, I have windows 7... -
32-bit Win 7 or 64-bit Win 7? Your RAM problem is probably because you're only running 32-bit windows, which can't handle more than 3-4GB of RAM. If you're not running 64-bit windows you might as well sell off the extra RAM on ebay. As far as gaming goes, the 5100 is based on the 330m, so it should run Total War just fine.
-
I guys I have 64-bit Win 7 (remember that somehow..)
Thanks for replay mate =) -
No problem. It's strange though that you have that RAM problem on 64-bit windows.
-
hmm, checked and found I have a 32-bit system.. Would i still be able to play napoleon total war? And if not, would I be able to play Empire: Total War?
-
You'll have no problem playing those games on 32-bit, but all that extra RAM will go to waste. You really should upgrade to 64-bit, 75% of your RAM is unusable.
-
You can see it in system properties.
Why did you buy so much RAM anyway? I'm curious, especially since so many people buy more RAM than they need, thinking that any additional RAM will significantly improve performance. -
ok, where can I upgrade, is it free? Or do I have to pay?
-
I really don't know =p.. I'm not really a computer expert so probably its just a noob-mistake =p
-
It's free, but you'll have to do a clean install.
http://forum.notebookreview.com/win...-7-download-links-just-like-vista-before.html -
Then you've probably wasted a lot of money already. You should probably sell all but one of your RAM sticks.
-
whats a clear install? will everything be deleted?
-
Unfortunately, yes, and that includes the drivers. You'll need to back up your data on an external hard drive.
-
oh god.. ok, thanks for advise, I try to upgrade... thanks a lot mate!!
-
No problem.
You can use the product key on the bottom of your laptop to activate it. Also, it has to be the same edition of Windows 7 you're currently using. I assume you're running Windows 7 Professional, right? If so, go with the 64-bit version of that. -
ok, thanks again =).. you're my hero (for one day =p ;-) )
-
Can anyone help me please? (or suggest settings)

Computer Games on Laptop Graphic Cards - Notebookcheck.net Tech
Gonna guess you can play most anything on high. Which game you asking about? -
Look at the title of his post. It's Shattered Horizon.
-
The recommended requirements for the game are a GTX 260 (desktop version) GPU, so your mobile 260 is a bit under the recommended. However, even the mobile GTX 260 is a powerful card. I would normally say that your card would have no problem hitting high in any game, but Shattered Horizons has pretty steep requirements, plus it's made by Futuremark, so maybe medium?
-
Thanks for the answers guys!
-
Will I be able to run Call of Duty: Black Ops at the highest graphics level?
-
I am getting a new laptop for college and the only demanding game graphics wise will be World of Warcraft. I was wondering if an ATI HD 5470 would do well with it or should I pay more to upgrade?
-
Yeah, that should be fine.
-
You can check the benchmarks here:
Computer Games on Laptop Graphic Cards - Notebookcheck.net Tech
I'm going to say you'll have trouble running it at high and will have a more pleasant experience running it at medium...of course that all depends on the resolution you want to run it. -
really good site people. I use notebookcheck all the time when im answering to posts in this thread
-
Yeah, but the game just came out today. It'll be about a month until enough benchmarks are ran to make notebookcheck accurate. Though you can probably assume that it will run about the same as CoD4.
-
This is more of a question than just "Can I run it".
Currently I use a notebook to play Starcraft 2. It has ATI Radeon HD 4200 graphics. I can run it on high almost flawlessly I just get very annoying input lag primarily when I try to type and clicking/typing in the menus. No fancy "i" cores or anything. I was looking at a notebook that had an i7 core, with GT425m graphics. Would there be any difference in the two?
I apologize if this is wrong to ask here. It just seemed to make more sense then starting a new thread. Thanks. -
Massive difference. The HD 4200 is an integrated card, but the GT 425M is a midrange discrete card. We're talking about 3-4x the performance at least.
-
I'm getting 9-16 FPS with Crossfire enabled, and 14-19 FPS with only one card on. 1920X1080 with Trilinear filtering, Ansiotropic drops even worse. Once I ascend high enough where its not rendering scenery it clears 45fps easily. I get 30 fps easy enough on the smaller airports but near the big cities the FPS takes a big hit. I guess I will have to start looking for a better processor.
-
No, something's wrong. Is your graphics driver up-to-date?
-
Can I run borderlands with....
8 gb Ram
AMD Phenom(tm) II N830 Triple-Core Processor 2.1 GHz
AMD M880G with ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250
If so on what settings... -
Only game that I play is Napoleon: Total War. On my desktop I have unitsize to ultra as well as unit and texture details. I dont tend to pay attention to quality of shadows, buildings and surroundings so I usually put those on low or medium. And FSAA merely at 2x.
Would my soon to order Dell XPS 17 run it?
CPU: i7-740QM
GPU: Geforce GT 445 3GB
RAM: 4GB, might change it to 8GB
Display (resolution): 1600*900 -
Yeah, you should have no problems at those setting/resolutions.
-
What type of settings am I looking at for Black Ops on my dv6?
-
how will gt435m perform especially in 1080p res!
Cheers -
Not very well, but it of course depends on the game. In general, you will have to lower settings or resolution in the great majority of modern games.
-
I'd have to imagine that it would play very similar to CoD4, as I believe they're based on the same console-ported engine. I don't know what res your display is, but I'd guess high at 768p or medium at 1080p.
-
Except that BO has optimization issues and doesn't run nearly as well from what I've heard. And I don't have CoD4 anyway...
