I wasn't saying you were - I was just making a point to others that there's no reason to attack you for wanting to limit your temps since you're not telling anyone else to do the same.

Now now let's all calm down. We're all friends here. And remember:

i don't see a problem with controlling the temps as it means you give a damn about the state of your pc's components....rather than being all willy nilly!

now this is more like it. it was the only map i enjoyed on the previous games until they lied and stopped the 24/7 map last time.
NUK3TOWN is back! This fan favorite map from Black Ops has returned in a big way for PS4, Xbox One and PC. It has been re-designed from the ground up to highlight Treyarch’s new momentum-based, chained-movement system, allowing players to battle in this adrenaline-charged new NUK3TOWN map. Set in the year 2065, players will experience a fresh take on this classic run-and-gun, close-quarters multiplayer map.
Players who pre-order will receive the NUK3TOWN Bonus Map*, available on PS4™, Xbox One and PC via in-box redemption code.TomJGX likes this. -
This game seems better than ghosts and AW ( only Cod games i've played.) Graphics are better and i like the momentum and surprise pop ups. Different than bf4. I may get it if i get a new gpu or if they optimize it better. I could run AW maxed out at 60fps vsync. I never checked max frame rates. But this game fluctuates between 30-50 maxed out and stutters so much. I feel like i'm teleporting around the maps and freezing then popping up 20 feet in front of me. Some people say it's just bad ping from internet, but I have never experienced this in any other non cod game. It makes it almost unplayable for me. I feel like my 880m should let me easily play this game smoothly.
It's hard to see the stutter in my video because i recorded it at 60fps and then exported the video at 30fps.
did anyone else get low frame rates and stuttering/lagginess? -
Graphics are not better than AW going by the beta. They're ballpark the same level. I'd even go so far as to say AW had better reflections and some (not all) better lighting.
I never got below 40fps on a single 780M with 353.06 drivers at stock, so if you were going below that with a "880M superclocked" then your machine was probably thermal throttling or something else. ESPECIALLY if your CPU has its OC bins maxed. -

You can unlock the game's fps by the config.ini file to 333fps or more. In the past 333fps will give you the smoothest running game and farthest jump distance but I don't know about BO3 since treyarch stated that they have removed fps dependency on the game's physics and computation logics.
Mouse sensitivity is tied to FPS though, really idiotic way to do it but you can get around it by locking your FPS to a constant number.
Surprisingly I don't feel any mouse accel, very different with BO2's mouse accel that was so bad I needed to use a 3rd party mouse .dll to fix the problem.
The maps really feel like BO2 maps but with "advanced movement" added in.
Wallrunning doesn't feel as fluid, you just immediately stick into the wall and you can't chain wallruns like in Titanfall. Mechanic doesn't seem as smooth.
Specialists are like destiny special abilities.
Meh, it's a decent game but it got boring really fast imo. I won't be buying it. -
I don't know how you managed 220fps on BO3... you must be talking about BO2 or something. BO3 takes too much CPU; even totalbiscuit's 5930K at 4.3GHz couldn't hold 120fps constant.
-
I'm not too concerned about the fps. The stuttering was just the part i hated. Probably would be fixed with a better CPU ( Which i can't overclock anymore after upgrading to windows 10), ethernet vs wifi, and them optimizing the game.
I thought the vegetation and textures were sharper in BO3 than AW. Better character models too. Hopefully the next COD will be only focused on ps4/xbone/pc and not the last gen systems to hold it back. -
I am running the game with the lowest setting according to the options menu with the exception that I set the resolution scale to 1x (native).
BO3 is being ported to PS360 so they still have to design the game within the limitation of the old gen consoles, pretty sad but business demands more money.TomJGX likes this. -

and it's sad they have to still port it to the old 10 year old crap systems. I'm honestly impressed that DICE was able to pull off how great battlefield 4 looks considered it was ported to the old consoles. BF3 was on the old consoles and still looked amazing. BF4 was like a hybrid for the engine and made for last and next gen. I wonder how BF5 will look since it'll be truly next gen.TomJGX likes this. -

All I did was change the fps on config file from 120 to 333 and that's it. All other settings are set from game setting menu. -

CPU upgrade will be the last thing i do for this laptop -
Heard there is GTX980 coming out, which used to name GTX990M ?
Would it be much much more powerful than GTX980M ?

Also you can get a 980M SLI for less and the 980M SLI is significantly more powerful, 4K powerful. I recommend going the 980M SLI route. NBR folks have not been reporting any significant issues with SLI lately. -

I have been seeing SLI issues with almost every new game like crazy. I would not count on SLI as a guaranteed power improvement right now.
Also, modding tools: https://community.treyarch.com/comm...apping-tools-coming-to-black-ops-3-pc-in-2016 -
Clevo 980M SLI system I see are less than GTX 980 builds from MSI and Clevo.

THOUGH MSI is overpriced. -
