I wouldn't call getting COD games for free a perk. More of a nightmare, at least for me...
Maybe I should do some streams as well. Any of you guys wonna watch me play some FSX. C'mon, it will be fun!

I'm still waiting for mine. I'm assuming it'll show up tomorrow night or something. I'm also gonna stick to 355.60 unless I get terrible performance with the game.

Aaaand here it showed up about an hour ago. Look at my "purchase date" =D

so thoughts anyone. me stuck at work for another 8 hours

Uses an absolute crapton of CPU above 60fps. Even at 60fps it devours things. I can't consistently get above 80fps, and it's not a GPU limitation (though I can't max the game and get 120fps anyway... for little visual improvements, honestly).
I am very disappointed that they claimed so much performance improvements were to go in for PC, and it still launched in such a state. The audio is still bad with the explosions. I hear them across the map. All sorts of crap. They didn't address anything I left in my feedback, as usual. I'm slightly annoyed, but I feel like it was to be expected. -
thanks mate.
so the usual, another cop out. promise the earth and and give ziltch.
tbh im only interested in campaign and nuketown.
just hoping they dont fek us all over again like the last time. call it nuke 24/7 and then remove it a few months later and put into rotation. from that day i never played bo2 again. -
Okay. Apparently it works better setting worker threads from 4 to 2. @pcdev said to do it, and it has smoothed out the stutter and such for me greatly, and the game generally runs in an acceptable state, and I even got more fps (at least in the couple maps I tried; it may be map-based).
I STILL think the graphics require too much from GPUs, but I'm not going to make noise that my two midrange GPUs from 2013 can't max a game in 2015 at 120fps. That's just being silly. I knew they'd become obsolete someday.
The CPU usage is still sky high though. I consistently get near 100% util (95%+ util on all 8 threads) in the game, and it also seems to fluctuate from low to high. I'll put up a quick and dirty gameplay-only video soon. -
Okay, video is processing. By the time anyone reads this, it should be ready for viewing.
-
Wow, yeah that is consuming ALL your CPU and GPU cycles.
Watching a few minutes of that, one thing that bothers me about CoD is that I would have loved to just jump in one of those trucks and drove off. But NOPE... -
This game is horrible. I have a i5-2540m with 8gb ram and a desktop gtx 760. On 720p with everything is on the lowest possible settings I get 1-60 fps, like a rollercoaster. Mouse movement like a tetris game, horrible screen tearing and 1-5 minutes of hangs in the game. Oh my godness...
-
Oh great
are you running the game ready driver Kirrr?
will test it out in about 30 minutes. -

running quite good for me.
will only get a chance to play a couple of rounds a day due to sight problems but will keep me entertained for a few weeks.
whats that crap of a popup saying nuketown will be available for the launch weekend.
they better fookin not remove the 24/7 play and put it in rotation again. -

Black Ops 3 runs at 90 FPS steady with my 970m on medium settings, and at 120 FPS steady with my 980 on medium settings. I find medium settings provide a very playable framerate but also looks good enough too. I really hope this game will be more optimized and I have no doubt it eventually will be more optimized by NVIDIA and Treyarch, hopefully as good optimized as CoD4 or BO2.

I'm still rocking the OG Blops. Haven't heeded the annual "Call" for a looong time and don't see that changing for me. Oddly enough, I'm quite proud of myself for that. Regardless, enjoy what you enjoy folks.

my fps is all over the place. some of the cinematics go into the 30s though gameplay goes between 50-60fps.

So I went and made a reddit thread for the developers to see. https://www.reddit.com/r/blackops3/comments/3rucqe/black_ops_3_slightly_obscure_pc_bugs_list_please/
Apparently people are still finding and upvoting this. Let's see if somebody replies and actually does something. -

I've had posts deleted before, and in my post history they say "deleted". But this is new. If this continues, I'll copy and paste and post it again, with a header stating that the original post was silently removed with no reason given.
If they ban me, well... I'll simply have to make certain other people aware of this. When reddit and shadowbanning is concerned, stuff spreads like WILDFIRE. Especially if there is no malice.
Anyway, the post in its entirety (since I can see it), is below:
Hi. This is basically going to be a set of bugs about the PC version that most people usually don't seem to notice, but really should be fixed anyway. Almost all of these fixes would be VERY quick to do, and some of these problems existed in Black Ops 2 as well, but whenever I reported to @pcdev I never got any response.
The bugs so far:
- When launching the game, the audio seems to adjust my mic volume to 100%, then to 50%. It did so upon first launch, and then it did so right after the first patch that released earlier today. If possible, setting mic volume in-game should not affect Windows mic volume settings. Edit: I also restarted the PC after the patch but before launching the game, so it may be tied to triggering after a system restart and not a patch.
- Sliding does not work without using the "change stance" button. I can't use my crouch button, or my prone button to do it. It would be nice if I could trigger it with the crouch button.
- Speeding up the hellstorm missile does not work without using the (I assume; it says "unbound" for me) Sprint/Hold Breath button. I cannot use "sprint" NOR can I use "Hold Breath" to do it. Since I use the buttons separately, that's a third button I need to map to my keyboard for the sole purpose of speeding up a hellstorm missile. Please, at least map it to be triggered with "hold breath" alone. This also is a problem from Black Ops 2; the Hybrid Sight cannot be triggered without holding ADS (making toggle worthless) and then using Sprint/Hold Breath. Also, when underwater in the first freerun map, it seemed to say to press "unbound" + something to swim faster, and I assume it has to do with the combo button as well (regular sprint seems to work in practice, though)
- If I set anything to 1/2/3/4/5/6 on the number row, the same numbers on my numpad trigger the actions. This should not happen; I have screenshots and record triggers etc on my numpad, and hitting them causes things like... killstreak using. Or weapon switching.
- The coefficient between hipfire and ADS has changed. I use high sensitivity, and I cannot get it down pat. Either my ADS moves too slowly, or my hipfire moves way too quickly. If you cannot copy what BO2 used, could you add in the ability to adjust the coefficient percentage like BF4 has? That would be the best option, and it should not be too difficult. As it is, I basically must ADS 24/7 and hipfire is a joke for me. It affects high sensitivity more than low sensitivity I'm assuming, but it still is an issue.
- If the game is set to be fullscreen and I press a button like ctrl after launching it but before it shows up, it doesn't actually show up fullscreen. It remains minimized, and pulling it up leaves it in a window at the resolution selected (in this case, I was in a 1080p window, and I had to use keyboard commands to bring up the options menu which was located below my task bar).
- When exiting the game if it's in a fullscreen mode, the game will end and then the desktop will show up, then a few seconds later all screens will flash black for about half a second as if the game just then closed from fullscreen.
- The game uses way too much CPU. I don't know how else to describe it. I don't know how you can optimize this down somehow, but it just uses way too much CPU. I don't go below 60fps, sure, but I'm hitting 100% CPU util on a 3.5GHz Haswell i7 getting 80fps. It makes no sense. A graphics card is a graphics card, they're easy to upgrade and whatnot, but a CPU bottleneck is one of the hardest things to remove... turning down graphics settings does not help it. Adjusting resolution does not help it.
- Blue screen after every match for a couple seconds. Did not happen in beta.
- User complained that the game freezes every time someone turns on the power in The Giant zombie map while in multiplayer only.
- Going into first person perspective in Dead Ops uses default FoV instead of user-set FoV
- The stat-track and clantag on weapons does not show up below 90-100 FoV, apparently, at least on some guns. It should be visible at lower FoV levels.
- Huge FPS drops in Shadows Of Evil zombie map when going from the Junction into the Waterfront District or vice versa. Multiple users reported; one claimed from 60fps to 15fps and is repeatable.
- Movies are unskippable, and re-joining co-op games etc causes them to play over and over again. Deleting the movie files allows it to skip this, so it's not a loading time issue.
- Please, change the "percentage of players in playlist" to an actual number. For example, I see 3% people in FFA. For all I know that could be 2000 people at that time, or it could be 24 people like often happens in Black Ops 2. It would greatly help users in somewhat out-of-the-way locations (like myself) who want to know whether lobby-hopping for chances of a match is a good idea if the first lobby has nobody.
- Killfeed appears to be screwed up when using very slow motion playback in theater mode.
- Sometimes when starting the game if a controller is attached, it goes into controller mode, and the mouse does not appear in menus, and disconnecting the controller (or restarting the game multiple times) is the only way to get back mouse functionality in the menus. (I had this in the beta and reported it, but someone claimed it happened in the final game, so it must still be in the code and is just random).
- Some users are saying that the framerate is tied to sensitivity in a way that isn't present in previous CoD games. I can't verify, but I'll add it in case you do find it being a bug somewhere.

Ok. Messaged mods. They told me to repost the information. It instantly got [removed]. They un-removed it, but I don't know how much traction it'll have. Here's the new link if anybody wants to go upvote it or whatnot https://www.reddit.com/r/blackops3/comments/3ryfzf/black_ops_3_slightly_obscure_pc_bugs_list_please/

Well, at least my thread is safe and getting some upvotes again. Hopefully it'll remain at the top this time, and if anything else happens to it I'm messaging the mods once more. I swear, I don't understand how their QA testers played through the game missing all that O_O.
