Drops into the high 40s in the same places if I set the renderer to 100%. 90% is a little better but 80% is more stable and is only slightly blurry.
I even dropped the max number of corpses from 32 to 16 to see if that does anything.

the fps tanked during a mission where you escape a biodome, a ferris wheel collapses and tanked the fps into the 30s.
EDIT: DAMN IT! The FPS tanked again when my character is visible. as soon as they appear the fps tanks regardless of what resolution i use.Last edited: Nov 14, 2015 -
Some are saying that extra quality texture are bugging out. Will have to see if dropping it to high will do anything.

High shadows + ambient occlusion seems to break the game for me with a bunch of flickering shadows sometimes.
Also volumetric lighting setting itself to "none" is annoying.
And the textures seem to end up super low quality sometimes. The game is pretty broke. I'm dealing with it mostly, but it should not be so bad.i_pk_pjers_i likes this. -

If they want to fix things, great. They've not replied about my megathread of bugs. No confirmation that they've seen it. I'm going to keep pointing it out to them until they confirm it. Because if they're asking $60 + DLC for it, then they have a responsibility to make sure things work well. Unoptimization sucks, but can be fixed later. People can generally turn down settings, except for the CPU usage (which they fixed in the patch yesterday, for 60fps or below), so that can get fixed after the direct bugs and design flaws. -
i don't get why the player's character has to chugg the fps? it makes no sense.
EDIT: what are people seeing for their VRAM usage in menus? i am seeing at least 2.5gb of my 8gb being used.Last edited: Nov 15, 2015 -

the more i play through the campaign i see more fps drops. there's one where hendricks interogating someone and the fps drops when the camera is on his face. your character is in the scene but not on camera. there are times where your character is on screen but the fps doesn't drop. i find that it's the up close head shots that do the drop while wide shots as in ones that show the full character do not drop the fps. there are even times like in the interogation where it will just drop for no discernable reason at all.
they probably should have dropped the fps for cutscenes only but then you have that problem where the framerate change becomes a bit jarring.Last edited: Nov 15, 2015 -
the performance of this game is borked. even running the game with the internal renderer at 80% the fps still drops. quite annoying.

But yes, I can understand why you'd have problems with it. Why everyone would. Treyarch and PCDev and vonderharr have not replied to my tweets pointing them to my reddit thread at all. -

My friend with two 780Ti cards kept 60fps the whole time, though, which clearly shows that while it's unoptimized, enough power can churn through it.i_pk_pjers_i likes this. -
i haven't seen it drop below 30fps but the fact that it drops below 60fps is not acceptable.
my install downloaded a 150kb update...not sure what it is or if it is even an update! -
I finished the campaign yesterday also. Figured I would play crysis 3 until they fix the sli in fallout 4. I've had crysis 3 in my computer for over a year but never played it so thought I would give it a go. It's unbelievable the graphics of crysis 3 compared to the latest games out. It loads incredibly fast and it's hard to believe how good it performs compared to other games. I'm only about 2 hours into it but I'm enjoying it. How come they can make a game 3 years ago look better and perform better than a lot of the latest Aaa titles.
Wish I would of played this game a long time ago.
If they put the same love into crysis 4 as they did into crysis 3 the graphics and game itself is going to blow everything else out. There away -

Today I discovered that if shadowplay is turned on, if I OC in BO2, my main GPU gets util limited but my slave doesn't.
It isn't limited in GTA V, so it isn't a problem with the driver itself.
Just an interesting thing. -

WOW! seeing 9.5gb of ram being used and nearly 5gb of VRAM being used....WTF?!?!

Yeah this game eats up ~5GB of RAM on the average by itself. The vRAM often maxes at 4GB for me; I can see 5GB being used easily.

there's definitely an optimization issues because i would say that for 80-90% of the time it runs at 60fps no problem, it's the 10-20% that really annoys me. it's really messed up that i have to run at 720p just to get a near stable 60fps in some cutscenes.

The last two pics are the models loading, it happens on console too. I've seen it happen a couple times on PC, but it usually doesn't.
The headless character though... yeah you're on your own. -
man, playing the game for the free week end, ridiculous stuttering + in a map with a pool and beach, it's like 60fps steady and bim 30 steady in a zone and then 60fps again..
The most annoying is the stuttering, it's just horrible happy i didnt buy this piece of crap code .. -
ive only played for an hour since release date.
they give you all a map (nuketown) that they call 24/7 and then remove it 2 weeks later just like they did in blops2

Very useful after the 205 Breeci rpm got stealth nerfed (on pc only)
