    I tried the config on the first page, i think its the most recent one. Should be a rapidshare download in rar format. I gained like 20fps and looks slightly better than high, but id change the maps on it so it should more plants ect..

    xystus...i added these to his config..should give less popup and look nicer.. :)

    e_proc_vegetation=1
    ca_useDecals=1
    e_decals_allow_game_decals=1
    e_decals_life_time_scale=2
    e_view_dist_ratio_detail=24
    e_view_dist_ratio_vegetation=31
    ca_AttachmentCullingRation=120
    e_terrain_occlusion_culling_max_dist=130
    e_vegetation_min_size=0.5
    e_lod_min=1
    e_obj_quality=3
    e_vegetation_bending=2
    e_view_dist_ratio=78
    e_max_view_dst_spec_lerp=0.5
    e_ram_maps=1
    e_terrain_normal_map=1
    r_refraction=1
    r_DepthOfField = 1
    r_SSAO=1
    r_SSAO_quality=1
    r_SSAO_radius=0.001
    r_ssao_darkening=0.45
    r_ssao_amount=1.7

    this is a color tweak makes dark areas darker, and adds more detail to object in the light/shade...looks good..if its too dark change r_ssao_amount=1.7 ...to...r_ssao_amount=1(or less)

    yea they sure do..kills the framerate . :p crysis is demanding because of the drawdistances, they are insane for a videogame..

    this makes it prettier
    r_SSAO=1
    r_SSAO_quality=1
    r_SSAO_radius=0.001
    r_ssao_darkening=0.45
    r_ssao_amount=1.7

    this doesnt cost but adds to the game
    e_proc_vegetation=1 <---adds extra shrubs and sticks ect, not important but more detail
    ca_useDecals=1
    e_decals_allow_game_decals=1
    e_decals_life_time_scale=2

    this kills performance on med end cards..
    e_view_dist_ratio_detail=24 <--lol not sure but fiddle if u want.
    e_view_dist_ratio_vegetation=31<---draw rocks and plants..adjust to your liking..but kills performance in most cases
    ca_AttachmentCullingRation=120 <turn this lower for sure i dont know what it does but it dont make a huge diff with anything
    e_terrain_occlusion_culling_max_dist=130 <lol turn this to 20 for more fps
    e_vegetation_min_size=0.5
    e_lod_min=1
    e_obj_quality=3
    e_vegetation_bending=2

    e_view_dist_ratio=78 <---this increases the distance u can see barrels and enimies ect
    e_max_view_dst_spec_lerp=0.5
    e_ram_maps=1
    e_terrain_normal_map=1 <--more detail in maps texture adds that high look to the ground textures mainly the beach areas
    r_refraction=1

    r_DepthOfField = 1<---this makes your vision blurry when zoomed in with the relex sight, adds a little realism..no cost not sure why he set it to zero?????? :(

    btw, I think this kids perfect with the exception of r_depthoffeild=0...

    adding anything else takes away fps, but in warhead i was able to add ssao, and if u use ssao darkening you can give the game a new look, can make shadows darker ect more definition with the light..its a major visual enhancement if you adjust it correctly :)

    as for draw distances, I get 60 fps on low for a reason, going to medium i get 20 fps...lost 40 fps just so i could see a rock 300 yards away?? I hate popup but i also wanna play the game high with good framerates. I would say add more drawdistance but dont expect the same framerates, maybe add like 5-10 points to the distances over low...but anything more expect to lose fps big time.

    so in short, use ssao settings in warhead, and add a touch more drawdistance.
    in crysis, get new hardware ... :(
