With that GPU you are very limited in what you play and what settings. COD4 will probably be low, maybe some medium settings if you are lucky, and Crysis is a pretty definite Low at 1024 x 768 or equivalent.

Could I get Bad Company 2 playable enough to go through the single player? Any settings, specs in sig.

I'm not exactly getting my hopes up after hearing people discuss the beta.

    Phew, no one answering heh...

Medium/lowish settings I think. Depending on your native res.

I gues that is a DDR3 graphic card, they ussually are when 256MB, but anyway low is your best option I think. But as you already said, it's still beta and improvements and optimizations are possible in gameplay and I think that majority of issues was with ATI cards. Still, low is your option.

You're kidding right.... Medium/some highish settings maybe I'd say, depending on res.

    B:AA - medium
    AC 2 - IDK

    Low to medium.

crysis, cod6 medium settings. fear 2, left4dead2 - medium to high.

    Your link is not working.

    Medium to high.

No, that's a weak card for gaming.

Specs (I'm considering a Dell Studio XPS 16):

    Core i7-720QM
    4GB DDR3
    ATI 4670
    (1920 x 1080 native res)

    Games:
    Unreal Tournament 3
    Mass Effect
    Mass Effect 2
    Supreme Commander + Forged Alliance
Supreme Commander 2 (Wich supposedly runs better that the first)
X3 Terran Conflict (Has anyone played it on their laptop? I really want to know how well it runs on your machine)

    Much appreciated.

Your desktop could run it medium at least on that res IMO. Laptop could do low to medium in it's native res.
    Any way check link down.

And what is your native resolution?

Yes you can. Check the link.

Yes it will run the 1st (if you run Vista or 7 you will need to jump hoops to get the game to work) but I don't think the 2nd one will run well if at all.

    hey folks,
i'm wondering if I would be able to play Battlefield BC2 (like everyone else :D ) on my m860tu. Here are my specs:

    CPU: P8400 - 2.26Ghz - 1066 FSB
    GPU: 512mb 9800M GTS
    RAM: 2GB DDR3 @ 1066

What resolution should I expect this to run at if I can play it? And performance wise, how can I expect the game to run (especially multi-player)? I'm hoping for it not to be jerky/laggy/sluggish like GTA4  ...

    Thanks for your help! Cheers!

Hello guys, I have a 8510p, good laptop, i like it a much. The only problem that I have is that the HD2600 is getting a bit old and week for games. I overlocked the GPU already but the cpu is unchanged.

As I have 2 standard docking station, the easiest would be to "simply" replace my 8510p to new HP laptop that is compatible to my docking stations.

    I saw a used (1 year old) HP 8530W (Core2 Duo T 9550, Nvidia Quadro FX 770 M 512 MB) for quite a cheap price (600 EUR) w/ 2 year warranty.

    I have just bought a Samsung SyncMaster 305T (2.560 Pixel x 1.600 Pixel) monitor. I want to play TF2 with max settings smoothly at 2.560 x 1.600.

    My question:
    1) Can this 8530w deliver it with its T9550, Nvidia Quadro FX 770M?

If this laptops delivers that performance then this is the perfect solution to me.

    So any feedback appreciated.

Well GTA 4 is still a no but I always tell people who wants to even attempt gaming to get a GPU that is at least a 8600M GT/9600M GT/GT 130M/GT 220M levels. ATI's would be 3650/4650/5165/5650 levels.

TF2 isn't demanding. My old 8400M GS can run it max on 1024x768 resolution. However, your resolution you posted might require you to get a card that at least a 9800 nVidia or 4800 Radeon to render as you need a card that can feed FHD+ and that itself needs a good memory bandwidth card.

^^^ What is your native resolution? It really depends a lot on what resolution are you going to play. If your native is high, you'll have to lower the settings. If you lower the res, then you can increase settings. Check the video. He has a bit faster CPU and a bit better graphic card.

He set high settings w/shadows set to low. I would say that you will be playing on medium to some highish settings, also with shadows set to low. This all depends on the resoultion you will be playing at.

EDIT: Forgot to put the link to video.

    Hello boys and girls! :)
I was just, woundring if my laptop (thinkpad T61) could run Batman: Arkham Asylum™.

    Minimum Requirements are listed as:
OS: Windows XP SP2 / Windows Vista
Processor: Intel single core 3 GHz or AMD equivalent
    RAM: 1GB XP, 2GB Vista
    Hard Drive: 9GB
Video Card: Shader Model 3 NVidia 6600 or ATI 1300 or higher

    And my Thinkpad's specs. is:
    ThinkPad T61
    CPU: T7500 2.20GHz 4MB Cache 800MHz
    Chipset: Mobile Intel PM965 Express
    RAM: 4GB DDR2 SDRAM - 667.0 MHz
Harddisk: OCZ Vertez 30GB SSD 64MB Cache Read: 200MB/Sec, Write: 160MB/Sec
GPU: 128MB nVIDIA Quadro NVS 140M
Network: Intel Wirless WiFi Link 4965AG
    LCD: 14.1in 1440x900
Operating System: Windows Vista Home Premium SP2 x64 Turkish

As you can see, the only upgrade on this laptop I've made is the SSD-drive. I mainly use this laptop at school. But, sometimes for little trips, I really don't want to take my Qosmio with me. And, I realy don't care about this Thinkpad, but I use it clean as my other laptops. I get about 3+ hours battery time with this laptop on powersaver profile which I have edited with ThinkVantage PowerManager. And on this and my Qosmio I have my "tweaked" Vista x64 installed. I know that Quadro's not doing well in Games, and I only have 128 MB VideoMemory, but low settings are O.K for me at this point.

    i7 720Qm 1.6ghz
    6GB Ram
    500GB 7200 HD
    5470 1GB ATI Mobility Radeon

My Studio XPS 1645 is going back to Dell.

    Thanks for the reply grbac!

    Notebook native res: 1680 x 1050
    Monitor native res: 1440 x 900

I use my notebook with an external monitor, so I guess I will be gaming at 1440 x 900. I'm more interested in the performance than the eye-candy so I really don't mind taking a hit on some of the settings. Think i'll make it? :D
