Would like to know how these games would run on this laptop:
C2DP8700 2.53GHZ
4GB DDR2 SDRAM-800
512MB Nvidia GT230M
1366X768 native res
Left 4 Dead
Oblivion
Sims 3
Medieval 2
Empire Total War
-
Howitzer225 Death Company Dreadnought
-
left 4 dead - high
oblivion - max
sims 3 - max
total war - med
dunno what medieval 2 is -
thats odd. ive never had any problems with it
high settings -
If you install a few mods Oblivion will run around 25-30 FPS.
Damn that game isnt optimized well.. -
i disagree quite a bit. i use alot of mods including texture mods from this guide and still get a solid 45 fps.
-
im in the market for a new laptop for school and came across a reseller that has a refurb studio xps 13 for dirt cheap.
p9600 2.66ghz
nvidia 9500ge
4gb ddr3 ram
320gb (7200) hhd
my question is will i be able to mess around with games with this lappy? i have a home rig for my games but i like to load up a couple to the notebook for when im in between classes and what not. i play alot of different games from low to high end games at home(wow, fallout, crysis, resident evil, c&c.... i dont expect to be able to run on high setting but i want to have a playable experience.
ive been looking at info on this card but i dont understand what the benchmarks mean. i just want to know if games (including new games)will run.
i like the lappy as a whole but its the card that i cant wrap my head around. i know theres the new 210m if u buy it new from dell but this refurb is so cheap. -
Well I just ordered a 8690
4gb ddr3
720qm(i7)
1900x1080
windows 7 ultimate
Im assuming css maxed out, crysis on high with a rather low resolution, but operation flashpoint/cod6? -
i think modern games should be able to run on that, but at lower settings and resolutions, the 9500m ge is not a very powerful card. it isnt very future proof.
the 210 is a little better, should be able to run modern games at med settings with a low/moderate res, but it still isnt future proof. dont expect either to run new games a year or 2 from now.
cod 6 should run high/max dunno about flashpoint. -

Anyone know if the new Asus UL models with the G 210M can run Mass Effect and possibly ME2 and Dragon Age when they come out?
4GB DDR3
Intel Core 2 Duo SU7300 (1.3GHz, 3MB cache, 800MHz FSB)
NVIDIA GeForce G 210M w/512MB GDDR3
1366x768 -
how will modern games (and future) run on a studio xps 16 compared to the sxps13?
t9600 (2.80ghz)
4gb ddr3
hd 3670 512mb
again this is a refurb selling at a ridiculously low price as opposed to a new system with up to date parts. -
I do also disagree with you disagreeing
Trust me, once you install a few mods (that make oblivion look georgous by the way) You will probably get around 20-30 FPS.
Well his resolution is smaller than mine. But my video card is a little faster, so I guess it will make up for it.
If you install mods like Qarls texture Pack, or Screen Effects,
( http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=18498 )
You will get 20-30 FPS outside, with no AA and Settings set to Medium.

<- If you want your oblivion to look like this, expect less than 20 FPS. -
Hi,
This is my configuration:
HP dv4
Intel Core 2 Duo T6400 2.00 GHz
3 GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce G105M 512 MB
Would these games run on my laptop, and if so, will they do it on high or low settings:
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Call of Pripyat
C&C Red Alert 3
GTA 4
NFS Shift
MotorM4X: All Terrain Drivin'
Richard Burns Rally
Thanks. -
it should run mass effect 1 high settings, so i would guess me2 and dragon age would be med.
the 3670 is much better, it will run most modern games med/high settings. -
stalkers - low
red alert 3 - low
i am not sure if gta 4 and nfs shift will even run
dont know what the last 2 are. -
Hello
I've recently installed Windows 7 on my dell 1gb RAM, 120 GB, 1,8 GHz, without the video driver I have around 450-500 RAM taken by the system, when I tried to install the driver the RAM usage jumped up to 1gb. Can someone advise or help me with what video driver should I use so that my RAM usage would be around 600-700 max?
Thanks -

Really? That is kind of surprising as I was expecting the processor to hold it back. Thanks for the info, josh, you have helped me finally decide on two laptop purchases.

Brendanmurphy Your Worst Nightmare
I dont think a 210m will run Mass Effect or Dragon age on high or medium. Maybe a mix of medium and low at best -
oh shoot. i didnt see the processor, it should run, but probably medium settings. if it was that card and a 2 ghz dual core i would say high settings, cause thats what it runs on mine and it is just slightly worse.
-
abaddon4180 Notebook Virtuoso
So ME would run on medium-ish setting and ME2 and Dragon Age will either run at low settings or not at all?
-
i'd guess me2 would run lowish/med (i think its the same engine, just tweaked) and dragon age probably will run at low. (they are saying the minimum specs are a 1.4 ghz c2d)

Hi all,
ARMA 2 / Stalkers
I really want to know how my upcoming system would be able to run these games and what should I expect in terms of actual gaming performance from this system ?
Thanks in advance -

borderlands med/high nba2k10 high -
I currently have a Studio XPS 16...
Hey, I was wondering at what settings I would be able to play Americas army 3 and just one note that my shader is 2.0 and aa3 recommends 3.0 wondering if I can play it still
CPU: Intel Core i7 720qm 1.6ghz (2.8 ghz turbo mode, 6mb cache)
GPU: 1Gb ATI Mobility RADEON HD 4670
RAM: 4096MB 1333 MHz Dual Channel DDR3 SDRAM [2x2048]
Display: 15.6 HD WLED 1980 x 1080
Was also wondering how My step up is as in performance thanks!! -
Do you think the new UL50VT or UL80VT can run l4d, tf2, NBA2K10, command&conquer: red alert, warhammer40K: dawn of war II, company of heroes and perhaps even a prediction on starcraft 2?
The reason i added the RTS's is because RTS tend to tax CPU as well as GPU. Whilst the GPU on the UL series is low-midrange, I think that it is the CPU power that will bottleneck those RTS's. Please let me know
CPU:Intel CULV Core 2 Duo 1.3GHz processor(can be overclocked to ~1.8ghz)
GPU: Geforce G210M (512mb)
RAM: 4GB DDR3 RAM
Display: 14 or 15-inch, 1,366 x 768 LED-backlit display
If there are problems with these running on high, I really dont mind running it on medium or low. Thanks -
Sweet! Seriously? I think you may of just made my day
-
Ive got an acer aspire 5930g

Wondering how I'd run gta4@ 1600x1050 -
Why do you say your shader is 2.0? Correct me if I'm wrong, but accordding to notebookcheck the 4670 has a 4.1 shader.
-
Tropico 3, looking for desired settings on a 1280 16:10 resolution (I don't expect my system to run this at native resolution without grinding to a halt).
CPU: C2D T7500

Hello, I'm wondering at what details level will my laptop be able to run NBA 2k10?
CPU: 2GHz Intel Core 2 Quad Q9000
GPU: 1GB ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4650
RAM: 4096MB DDR3
Display: 17.3" Diagonal HD+ High-Definition HP LED BrightView Widescreen Display (1600 x 900) -
ML6721 laptop, I know X3100 not for gaming...
Assassins Creed low settings? -
highish
no. it probably wont run at all.
l4d - low, tf2 - med, nba2k10 - med, red alert - max , dawn of war 2 - low, company of heroes - low, starcraft 2 is too far away to predict. you will need to overclock the processor to 1.8 for all of those games except red alert.
yes, probably med settings
gta 4 should run highish settings.
based on the system reqs i would guess high. -
DELL Studio 15
Dual Core T4200 Intel Dual Core T4200 2.0GHz / 1MB L2 Cache / 800MHz FSB
15.6" HD Wide TrueLife display (1366 x 768),
2GB (2x1) 800MHz Dual Channel DDR2 RAM,
320GB Serial-ATA
ATI Mobility Radeon HD4570 512MB
Will it run Wolfenstein, Gothic 3 and Risen on medium settings? -
wolfenstein should be medium, gothic 3 should be max, risen looks like it has ridiculously high system reqs, but it should run medium/low
-
Everything you said for medium setting, you meant with no sttutering, right?
I read that T4200 is not very good for gaming, is it true?
(Thanks for fast reply.) -
I have a HP DV9500t, DualCore 2.20ghz, 2GB ram, Nvidia 8600M GS.
Want to buy Stalker Clear Sky and Fallout 3. Worth it with this specs? Native res is 1680x1050. -
its not great for gaming, but its not terrible either. its better than a single core
. i cannot guerentee wolfenstien, but mainly cause ive had problems with it, i can run it medium settings at about 35 fps, but the game glitches on me.
both should run medium settings. -
Really? Is that medium at native res? Awesome!
-
Anyone have an idea of the difference between a C2D E6400 and my own processor? It would be nice to play the game at native resolution for once but I think the CPU requirement would make my system crawl once cities start to sprawl.
-
Notebook Specs:
CPU: T7100
GPU: 8400GS
RAM: 2gb
O S: 7 x86
Game: Batman: Arkham Asylum
Would it work? -
Notebook Specs:
CPU: T9300
GPU: 8800M GTX (~9800M GT)
RAM: 4GB
OS: XP
Games: GTA 4 , Mercenaries 2 -
you should be able to run it on low settings.
gta 4 should be medium, merc 2 high (both games have problems though) -
the E6400 has a faster fsb, the T7500 has a faster clock speed and a larger l2 cache.
-
can my lappy run COD4? (specs in sig)
now before jumping to conclusions, my friend's desktop which has a quad core CPU and G45 (X4500HD) igp can run it at native res and most settings enabled.
only difference between GM45 and G45 is the clock speed (800MHz : 533MHz. will that make a huge difference? -
i seriously doubt it. (both your freind being able to run it that well and that the game will run on yours) the 4500 should not be able to run it at all.
-
I ran it medium settings on my old dell
Pentium 4 extreme 3.1 Ghz and ATI 2400
I think he has a chance to run it
