Sniper Ghost Warrior and Test Drive Unlimited 2
ASUS G73JH
CPU: i7 720qm
GPU: radeon 5870
RAM: 6gb
Display: 1600x900
-
The game is Battlefield: Bad Company 2.
My machine:
Dell XPS Studio 1647
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4670
Intel Core i5 CPU M 430 @ 2.27GHz Quadcore
4 GB RAM
Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium Edition (build 7600), 64-bit
Directx 11 -
I thought all mobile i5's were dual core.
Anyway, yes it can run it. With a mixture of medium/high settings I would think. -
The performance/speed for multithreaded programs will be better than on a plain dual core and worse than on a true quad core (supposing every other factor as clock speed, cache, etc. are the same).
Hope this helps! -
Would Like to know if my notebook would run Cod MW, L4D 2,and BadCompany 2 at ANY playable status, low res, low graphics etc etc
AMD Athlon II X2 M300
320gb HDD
3gb Memory
Mobility Radeon 4200 HD
I'm guessing I should be able to run COD MW pretty easily even though it is an IGP card, might have some issues with BC2, but thats why I'd like your feedback.
Thanks -
The games: Mass Effect 2, CODMW2, Crysis, GTAIV
The machine:
Acer Aspire AS7741G
Intel Core i3 350M(2.26GHz)
4GB DDR3 1066
17.3" 1600 x 900
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650 1GB DDR3 VRAM -
Thanks for the help sorry about any confusion.
-
I'd only want to overclock it to the core clocks of the 5730 - 650MHz. I wouldn't risk any more than that.
Would the gddr3 memory in the Sony make a difference over a normal clocked/volted 5650 but with ddr3 memory? Is there a difference between ddr3 and gddr3? -
-
gddr3 is based on ddr2.
-
Laptop in spec VS BF: BC2
-
although its more expensive here for laptops.

I'm taking a hard look at the hp dv7 with i5 and ati 5650. How do you think the card would hold up @ 1920x1080 on current games (Bad Company 2 for example) and those made by Valve - L4D 2, TF2, etc?
-
Valve games however, with the Source engine, will work on high at 1080p as they are very well optimized so not that demanding. And, of course, older games will work fine on high at 1080p. -
My Notebook specs are
Processor : Intel Core i7 1.6 GHz
RAM : 4GB
Graphic Card : ATI 5650
Display : 1366 x 768
Can it run the Napoleon total war. and upcoming games like starcraft 2? Moreover will there be any over heating issues? -
-
Can i play Sniper:Ghost Warrior? Specs in my signature..
Thanks..

Hello guys. This is my first post
I want to know if I can run Batman : Arkham Asylum and at what settings ??
My specs -
Processor : Intel Core i3 M330 @ 2.13 GHz
RAM : 4 GB DDR3
GPU : ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5145
Display : 1366 * 768
Hoping for a reply soon -
I haven't played AA on PC, but from your specs it will either be everything at low or plain unplayable. The 5145 just wasn't designed with gaming in mind.
I have been out of the PC gaming for a while, just came back with my G73and i'm not completely familiar with the latest GPUs, so if anyone can confirm this...
EDIT: from the link arondel posted, it should run it. Still not a gaming laptop GPU though but at 1366x768 it shouldn't struggle too much. Still not sure about high settings... -
Notebookcheck: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5145
It should be able to play Batman: Arkham Asylum nicely. On your native resolution, I believe high settings would be smooth enough. If you want more FPS, turn it down a bit (although I strongly believe this won't be necessary).
Hope it helps! -
Thanks Arondel.

My prospective Notebook specs are:
Processor : Intel Core i5 540M 2.4 GHz
RAM : 6GB
Graphic Card : NVIDIA 330M GT
Display : 1600 x 900
Ok, sorry if I may seem off track, but my question was more related to 3D and graphic intensive software like Maya, Autocad, 3D Max etc. can these run on it without hiccups. -
cpu:2.33ghz dual core
gpu: SLI 7950 gtx go's w/512mb
ram: 4 gigs(32 bit os)
display: 1920x1200 native

How well can my machine handle age of conan and crysis? -
lower settings should be "ok," I would think
-

Laptop in sig for Lost Planet? I tried the demo and it could run ok at 720p with high(ish) settings. Is the main game better optimized?

You could always download a demo of the game and give it a go. Remember demos are usually not quite as optimized as a finished / patched game. so if you get decent fps in the demo, you will probably get slightly better performance in the full game.
On a side note, The original Crysis doesnt seem to run as as well as Crysis:warhead. Both of these are the same engine, but warhead seems to be a lot better optimized than the original Crysis.
Hope this helps,

I'm choosing between these 2 laptops.
1. Lenovo Y560 (Radeon HD 5730)
2. MSI GX640 (Radeon HD 5850)
Any one have Final Fantasy XIV benchmark results (1280x720) for these 2 models?
Thank you in advance! -
Your system will be able to handle them easily since it's a high-end system. -

To hopefully give some insight to the FF14 benchmark....
My desktop Radeon 5850 1 GB (1440 stream processors), Phenom II x4, 4 GB DDR3 machine got a score of ~3700 at 1080p. Yeah it was pretty smooth.
My desktop Radeon 5570 1 GB DDR3 (400 stream processors), Athlon II x4, 2 GB DDR3 machine got a score of 1999 at 720p and a score 2432 OCed to 800 core/1100 memory at 720p. That should give you laptop 57xx guys an idea of what to expect. It ran pretty smoothly, better than expected.
My roommate's desktop with a Core 2 Duo E5400 (I think that's what it is), 4 GB DDR2, Geforce 9600GT got a score of about ~1600.
As for my Sony CW laptop with an i3-330M, Geforce 310M 256 MB, and 4 GB DDR3 it got a score of 532 points at 720p IIRC lol. Kind of expected
My friend with an Apple Macbook Pro with a Geforce 9600M GT got I think it was ~900 according to him.
So basically anyone with a mobile Radeon 38/46/56/57/58xx should be all well to do with FF14. As for Nvidia equipped people, anyone with a part with more than 32 shaders should be okay. I assume the game could be tuned down to let 8600M GT, 95/9600M GT people enjoy it smoothly too with reduced settings.
I plan on getting FF14, just to play it for a couple months or so as my friends will probably play it endlessly for a year or so. Hopefully the game will have sufficient settings to make it run well on my three computers, even my little Sony and it's Geforce 310M w/ 256 MB of DDR3 VRAM lol. It would be nice if we could make a big table for individual games here as far as benchmark scores go with both laptop and desktop parts just so we get a nice idea of what to expect. -
I've searched and searched but have come up empty handed, can you folks help. I'm not a huge PC gamer but I have a passion for Starcraft.
Will StarCraft 2 run on my machine?
HP ELITEBOOK 8730W

Thanks in advance for your help and expertise. -
Im looking at both the envy 14 or envy 15 as my next laptop and was just wondering if there is a big difference between the two cards? I will most likely be playing FFXIV when it comes out and would like the best results in it.
Thanks in advance! -
Of course the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5830 would be faster.
But its crippeled by GDDR3 so it wont be the most awesome gpu.
The selling point for Envy 14 is of course its smaller size so if you want a more portable gaming rig take that. -
How are they both compared to a 260m GTX with a P7350. With my new computer I'd get a better proc such as the I5 520 or I7.
Id love to keep my G51 but its just too big to carry about to school and only gets like 2 and a half hours of battery. -
Hello I was wondering if my HP dv6z SE laptop could play The Sims 2 and all the expansion packs ( I have the Bon Voyage, Seasons, Open for Business, Pets, and Nightlife w/ Sims 2 double deluxe base game). I have already installed these expansions, but I wanted to make sure it wasn't too stressful for my computer. Here are my specs:
HP dv6z Select Edition--
Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
• AMD Phenom(TM) II Dual-Core Mobile Processor N620 (2.8GHz, 2MB L2 Cache)
• 4GB DDR3 System Memory (2 Dimm)
• FREE Upgrade to 320GB 7200RPM SATA Hard Drive with HP ProtectSmart Hard Drive Protection
• 1GB ATI Mobility Radeon(TM) HD 5650 switchable graphics
• 15.6" diagonal High Definition LED HP Brightview Display (1366x768)
• No TouchScreen
• SuperMulti 8X DVD+/-R/RW with Double Layer Support
• Wireless 802.11b/g/n Card
• High Capacity 6 Cell Lithium Ion Battery (standard)
and a list of The Sims 2 expansions + requirements:

Tell me what you think -
MagusDraco Biiiiiiirrrrdmaaaaaaan
Sims 2 should run fine.
it maxes out with stuff from four years ago. -
Both will be slower than GTX260M, simply because of 128-bit memory bus paired with GDDR3 memory. In case of 5830, the 3DMark06 score would slightly exceed 7000, while GTX260M exceeds 10000 (according to notebookcheck).
-
it will maxed it out no need to worry
even my old laptop with a HD3450 can max out sims 2 -
Just out of curiosity, which graphics card is better? The ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650 or the Nvidia Geforce 310M?
Thanks in advance -

Hey!
I've been looking at the ACER EMACHINE 630 to replace my old laptop but I need to know if it will run the sims 3 and it's expansion packs on it since I've spent a lot on the games I want to be able to run them.
The laptop has:
* CPU: AMD Athlon II Dual Core M320 (2.1GHz)
* MEMORY: 2GB RAM
* HARD DRIVE: 320GB
* SCREEN: 15.6" Wide
* GRAPHICS: Shared
* OPTICAL DRIVE: SuperMulti DVD
* OPERATING SYSTEM: Windows 7 Home Premium
Thanks in advance! -
Gidday, was wondering if my lappie (specs in sig) could run Dragon Age: Origins, hopefully at full resolution. Not too worried about level of detail but I'd prefer not to drop the resolution too much.
Cheers! -
Hello,
I'd like to know how an ASUS N61Jq-A1 ( 1366 x 768 res/ ATI 5730/ i7 720) would be able to run these games:
Napoleon : Total War
Assassin's creed 2
Divinity 2
Transformers : War for Cybertron
Dragon Age Origins
Thanks -
I was just looking at the specs for Test Drive Unlimited 2 which will release soon, and apparently, it says that the MINIMUM required graphics card is an ATi 3870. Does that mean that my ATi 4650 has no chance in hell in even running the game? This is very surprising as I'm able to run many recent games in good settings at very stable frame rates, and am even able to run Crysis at medium-high settings with 28-40 FPS averages at 1280x720. Do I have any hope for TDU2?
