It runs fine on on 1280*800. Maybe not super high settings but it gets good FPS
-
I played through it on a HD2600 DDR2, which is about the same. Just stay off the AA and AF.
-
Medieval: TW: Processor dependant game, probably medium @ 1024 x 768 with a dual core
X3: Not sure if terrain conflict has updated graphics? If not then you should be able to play on high(no AA) @ 1280 x 800.
Bioshock: Medium @ 1024 x 768
Crysis: Low DX9 @ 1024 x 768
The orange box: Medium(and up) @ 1280 x 800
Battlefield2: High @ 1280 x 800
Far cry: High @ 1280 x 800
Far cry 2: Low - Medium @ 1024 x 768
Any more just ask
I don't think so, you'll probably need an emulator to play that, something like dosbox.

Hello, I'm new here and I have a question about the laptop I'm about to get. The specs are in my signature
What games are able to run on this machine at decent settings?
I was thinking of Call of Juarez, Half Life 2 type games. -
Half Life 2 should be able to run on your laptop, at least on low settings.
Generally talking about games on your machine, you are limited by your processor and graphic card. Something until 2007. year will be the highest point your laptop will be able to go when we are talking about games. If nothing, Counter Strike will run without problems. -
-
It can run on integrated graphics...so yes it will run
-
Alright thanks for the information.
-
I was wondering if I can play left 4 dead, dead space and bioshock and what settings thanks
Studio 15 (1537) Laptop: Intel Core 2 Duo T5800 (2.00GHz/800Mhz FSB/2MB cache
250 GB SATA Hard Drive (5400RPM) 256MB ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3450 -
Call of Duty 5: World at War, just looking for some good setting combinations for my 2.4GHz Macbook, NVIDIA 9400M, 2GB RAM.
-
I have another question about my laptop: how long does the battery last? It's a 4 cell.
Thanks
Edit: Also, can I use it while it's recharging? -
you wont last long with a 4 cell.
-
-
Sweet, thanks.
-
Strictly speaking the wrong thread for this, but since it is a direct follow on to the replys to my previous posts I hope it is acceptable...If I am running a game at a resolution lower than the max resolution of the monitor (but at the same aspect ratio) am I likely to notice a severe drop in quality or will everything just look oddly inflated?

edit: LOL sorry, TF2 was the game. -
L4D: Medium @ 1280 x 800
Dead space: Lowest settings, a 6800/X1600 is stated as the lowest requirement for a gpu so you might have to reduce resolution conciderably if the game isn't optimised too well.
I don't have the game but i thought i'd bump this for you anyway for a more detailed reply. Textures will always be a performance hit with a IGP while the 9400m should be able to handle shader related settings on medium at a lower resolution.
-
I am sure there is a way to fix this but I doubt anyone will since getting a better GPU is often a major driving force for the sale of new Laptops. If they make these GPU's easy to replace or easy to use external solutions I bet sales would become less.
How many of you would still buy a new Laptop if you could just hook up an external box to play Crysis at 50 fps on the road. -
Specs are in my sig, i am playing COD WAW and its on the lowest possible resolution at 640x480 and lowest possible settings with everything off and it is very laggy, i have 179.28 as my current drivers, the fps runs at 20 at heavy gun fights and in an average room like nazi xzombie for example, it has average 30-40 fps and it dips to 30-60 randomly when doing nothing.
Are there any better drivers for this laptop and game? Other games i play include CODWAW, CSS, L4D. -
First of all I would like you to read the System Specs.
Windows XP Media Center Service Pack 2
Intel Core 2 Duo T5200 1.6Ghz
2.5 GB RAM
128 MB Mobile Intel 945GM Express Chipset Family
Now I would Like you all to help me this last time.My birthday is coming on 21st so Im thinking to buy 4 of these game
Call of Duty 4
Far Cry 2
Fallout 3
Left 4 Dead
NFS Undercover
Max Payne 2
Fifa 09
Call of Duty World at War
Unreal Tournament 2004
Unreal Tournament 3
Neverwinter Nights 2
Crysis
Assassins Creed
The Chronicles of Riddick Escape from Butcher Bay
Half Life 2
Bioshock
Mirror's Edge
Now I would ask you guys to please tell me which of the following games will work and which games should I buy. Please help me this last time. Please also tell the reason for the games that aren't working. You can say like this"All games except this game won't work on your system"No need to name all games.
Please I would apprecate your expert peoples help
I pray -
King of Interns Simply a laptop enthusiast
I am afraid only Unreal 2004, half life 2 and max payne 2 have chance of working and they won't work that well with a older integrated graphics chipset.
-
I'm looking to get Red Alert 3 since it's on sale on Steam for $30.
My laptop is a HP dv4z with 2.1 GHz Turion Ultra, 2 GB RAM, and Radeon 3200 IGP. It runs Company of Heroes at 1280x800 medium settings fairly smooth.
Should I be OK for RA3? What graphics settings would I be looking at? -
Low - Medium @ 1024 x 768 should provide good performance. You can turn up a few settings, or the res, if you can handle a little lag with explosions etc. Generally RTS games can be played with lower framerates anyway.
What kind of framerate were you getting in COH? -
-
Sorry question moved to drivers section, but is the Geforce 7400 go enough to play L4D, CSS and CODWAW?
-
-
What type of settings could I play TF2, L4D, and the HL series (basically the Valve games) with the following specs:
1680x1050
P8400 2.2ghz
Nvidia 9600m GT
Thanks. -
HP 16 Intel Core 2 Duo P7450 LAPTOP
- 4GB DD2 Memory
- 512MB NVIDIA GeForce 9600GT Graphics
So will GTA IV run on my laptop?
Thanks in advance,
D3158 -
Probably, what speed is that P7450? That'll be your biggest problem.
I can just about run it on my rig (spec in sig), in a res of 1024x640 with most settings just above the console equivalents and the shadow density on 0. -
This needs to be in the **Can My Notebook Run It?** thread.
-
The P7350 is a 2.0GHz processor.
You could have simply looked up the recommended system requirements. -
D3158 -
im getting a msi gx610 next week can it run gta iv,cod5,far cry2,dead space and so on and so on.
-
what are it's specs?
-
I am looking to Run Shaun White Snowboarding. The reason I am asking is first i like these kinds of games, but also I know a game tester who is running nearly every game on high with smooth framerates but when he tests this one it has lower framerates and I just watched but it wasn't fast enough for my eyes.
(He was running a Dell XPS 1530 W/NVidia 8600m gt)
My lap is going to be this one:
* ASUS M51 Series M51Ta-X1 NoteBook AMD Turion 64 X2 RM-70(2.00GHz) 15.4" Wide XGA 3GB Memory 250GB HDD 5400rpm DVD Super Multi ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3650
This would be my first ATI so I am not sure how it stacks up, but I'm going that way since reports of the NVidia 8 series burning up mobos. I am mostly looking to run Need For Speed type games and could care less about Crysis on high and all that stuff, I will live with low settings for FPS if I have to. Thanks! -
That said this game is horribly optimised. It's unplayable with 30+ fps (what i get on low). And even if it was "playable" it would be unplayable because of the way it looks on low; everything is completely white and you don't even know ramps are there untill you've gone over them!
If it's a case that my 2.0GHz core 2 duo was limiting me then your turion probably won't fair any better. -
Thanks for the feedback on the Half Life 2 Episodes. Think I'll pick up the Orange Box during the week.

Here are the specs

I want to know the configuration in 3D Analyze to run Gears of War.
I saw many guys run this game on the settings similar to mine
Here are my specs
2.5 GB RAM
Intel Centrino Core 2 Duo T5200 1.6GHz
128MB Mobile Intel Express Chipset Family -
I'm in the market for a new laptop. Aim is to play World of Warcraft on it easily with close to no lag issues on medium to high settings. Can any of these notebooks to run it?
- 2 GHz AMD Turion 64 x2 RM-70, ATI Radeon HD3650
- 2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo T5800 or P7350, Nvidia GeForce 9600 GS or GT
- 2.26 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo P8400, Nvidia GeForce 9600 GT
They are ranged from cheapest to most expensive and all have Vista and 4 GB RAM...now if the cheapest can run it easily with even high fps in Dalaran that would be great, but maybe that just stays to dreaming lol -
What kind of games can I expect to run with an Nvidia Geforce 8200m Go?
Here is the laptop:

Should I be able to run Bioshock comfortably?
Thanks -
I want to play BF2142 and COD4 at max settings
Cpu-C2D 2.0GHZ
Gpu-8400M GS
HDD-240GB
Ram-2048MB -
hi everyone, i have a hp dv5z w/ amd turion 2.0ghz 2gigs ram 250gb sata and ATI Radeon HD 3200 graphics. i just bought GTA IV (stupid noob mistake) on an impulse thinking i could get away with it on low settings. no good, so now i cant take it back to the store cuz its opened. i want to be able to play it somehow i just need to know what i can do in detail, getting a graphic card and what to do with it etc., any help would be appreciated :]
-
I'm looking for a new laptop that will play games (like WoW and FSX) on high at a decent Frame Rate. also, i need a computer that will last for 4-5 years...i was deciding between either
Gateway P-7805u
Asus W90 (when it comes out)
Asus G71g-A1
Asus G70Gs
MSI GT725
Which one would be best and why? -
My machine:
Samsung Q310 02UK
C2D P8400 2.26Ghz.
4gb DDR2 RAM (effectively 3.12gb, running winXP x32)
Nvidia 9200m GS
Will it run:
Gears of War
GTA4
Fallout 3
X3: Terran Conflict
Company of Heroes
GRID Race Driver
Spore
Warhammer 40000 Dawn of War
Red Alert 3
Im going with low settings on all of them.
Any other games reccomended for this chip? -
Checking at yougamers( http://www.yougamers.com/reviews/21679_world_of_warcraft_wrath_of_the_lich_king-page8/), my favorite site for video game reqs, you see that your config 1-up's the recommended, but isn't very close to the high.
As such, your cheapest system should keep you going with a good mixture of high and medium components, without lagging too much. For more information go here: http://www.yougamers.com/gameometer/10290/
Hope that helps,
Brontos
EDIT: Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but the first laptop seems to have a superior graphics card. -
Since the 8200m is an integrated chip, you will have probably have trouble running any new 3d games "comfortably". -
I got a new computer recently and was wondering how will Fallout 3 and Half-Life 2 run on it.
C2D P7350
2GB RAM (will be upgrading to 4GB)
512MB DDR2 9600M GT
1680x1050 display
Vista 64-bit
Thanks!
