Would an ATI HD4670 be able to run upcoming games like Modern Warfare 2 and Diablo 3 at good resolutions?
-
What do you mean by good? It will be great at 1366x768 but would struggle at 1080p.
-
G51vx-A1 standard config via xoticpc (Q9000, 4gb RAM, GTX 260M) and Aion? I read that Aion doesn't support multi-thread so would the game support only one 2.0 Ghz core?
-
mordern warfare 2 should run really well at medium-high settings as long as you dont go crazy with resolution (think 1440x900 or below) and dont worry about diablo 3 at all. knowing blizzard there wont be a problem, and secondly diablo 3 is a good a year and half way. so dont base your buy on a very distant future
-
medium, shadows low. @1280 x 800 res, 40-50 fps
-
Geez Ok how about
AMD Turion x2 Ultra 2.3ghz
4GB DDR2
ATI 4650 with 1GB
Will I be able to play World of Warcraft and Aion @ Max with that graphics card? -
Intel Core 2 Duo processor P8600 (2.40GHz 1066MHz 3MBL2)
ATI Mobility Radeon 3650 with 256MB
2 GB PC3-8500 DDR3 (1 DIMM)
How well could this run steam games such as CS:S, Left for Dead and TF2? Also would this be able to run Starcraft 2? And would adding another 2gigs help a lot in running this programs (the OS is Vista 64-bit) -
cs:s max, left 4 dead medium some high, tf2 mostly high
starcraft 2. dunno. i havent played it (its not out)
i dont think you will see too big of a change with an extra 2 gigs of ram. -
it'll run much better than the earlier one, probably most settings high/max on wow. aion i have no idea yet (missed the last beta weekend by one day
), i'd guess medium at the lowest or around high.

Okay looking at two computer:
HP DV5T with a Core 2 Duo 2.53GHZ
4gb DDR2 Ram
and a Nvidia Geforce 9600M GT 512MB With GDDR2
vs. a 2009 Unibody Macbook with a 2.4GHZ Core 2 duo
2gb DDR3 Ram
and a Nvidia geforce 9400M with 256MB GDDR3
Now, the question I must ask is, why is my friend with the Mac getting a better Windows Vista Experience Index with his setup?
Obviously the WEI is a terrible way to measure things, but I guess I wonder, is the GDDR3 on his video card causing it to beat mine? -
Nope. 9600M GT >>> 9400M. Your card is 128-bit, his is 64-bit, so it doesn't matter that his memory is faster. Vista WEI is garbage and cannot be relied on.
-
everything about your computer is better than his mac.
-
Install something like 3dmark 06 and run them on both and see which one is better
Yours should beat on his pretty good.
-
How does your friend use Windows on his Mac?
-
boot camp.
-
I have to, I want to know the settings they can run
warcraft 3,
unreal tournament 3,
starcraft 1
crysis,
COD4
L4D
In general which one do you think is the better gaming machine?
CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Processor Q9000 (2.00 GHz, 1066 MHz FSB, 6 MB L2 Cache)
GPU: ATI Mobility RADEON HD 4650 with 1024MB dedicated

CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo Processor P8700(2.53 GHz, 3MB L2 Cache, FSB 1066MHz)
GPU: nVidia GeForce GT 130M, w/ 1GB VRAM
RAM: 4GB DDR2-800 Memory
Display:1600x900 -

Half-Life 2: Episode 1
Portal
Half-Life 2: Episode 2
Team Fortress 2
Should have asked the Orange Box in it's entirety last time, my bad. -
definitely the first system will run better than the second. now for the games,
warcraft 3 - max
starcraft - max
crysis - medium/high
cod 4 - high
l4d - high
ut3 - max -
id guess mediumish on all of em.

i really want to be able to play empire total war with it, even if its on low settings. so can anyone tell me if it will for sure play the game. -
Thund3rball I dont know, I'm guessing
Lol... doubtful. You want discrete graphics not integrated. You need at absolute bare minimum something like a 9600GT imo for ETW. And that will probably run it at 1280x800 at med settings.
-
cpcpwns:
Tip #1: You don't need to print all of that info for us to comment on. CPU, RAM, GPU/resolution, & O/S are generally enough.
Tip #2: Download the demo and see for yourself. -
sorry i posted all that, but i have not bought the computer yet , i want to know if it can run empire total war before i buy it
-
Sorry I missed the part about you 'getting ready to buy' the computer.
My guess is that GPU will struggle, if it runs at all, with Empire TW. My second thought is Empire TW is a busy game with lots of action on screen which may feel a bit cramped on a 13" display. -
ah ok thanks , i guess then ill get the asus g50vt-x5 gaming laptop.
-
Thund3rball I dont know, I'm guessing
X4500 is hardly gaming capable gfx. If you want to play ETW buy a notebook with a real graphics card, not integrated graphics. Probably bare minimum you want is a 9600GT or HD3650... BARE minimum. -
ok well im going to buy the g50vt-x5 gaming laptop from bestbuy it has a graphics card that is (NVIDIA GeForce 9800M GS graphics) im not super smart with this stuff so is that a good one?
-
Thund3rball I dont know, I'm guessing
That'll run it no problem at lower resolution (1280x800). Not sure about what settings but probably med - med/high. -
ok thanks alot for your help
-
Hello, I was wondering if my laptop will run all the games in the orange box smoothly, I am sure I meet all the specs except my video card Nvidia Geforce 8200M G Im not sure it will work since all the "will my computer run it" programs cannot identify my card. I know it's integrated and not to expect much, so I wouldn't mind running the games at lowest settings. Will my card be able to handle it?
Please reply as soon as humanly possible...
Thank you in advance for your support.

ATI HD 4570 512Mb DDR3 on this game? Empire Total War
If any can give there personal experience with ATI HD 4570, please feel free to comment
-
^Whats the processor also?
-
I tried the demo and my ATI 3450 can run it only at Low settings, the 4570 should be able to run it at least at Medium.
-
Thund3rball I dont know, I'm guessing
That's an integrated graphics card, not a discrete graphics card. I would say running Source games smoothly is going to be on very low settings at 800x600 if you are lucky. So in a word ... no. -
I am gonna buy gta4,fear,far cry, would my system play them fine with maybe medium settings?
cpu=core2duo t5800
gpu=mobile 9600gt512mb -
Thund3rball I dont know, I'm guessing
Other than GTA4 which I hear is badly optimized, the other games will run very nicely at med-high settings at lower res.
