There are a bunch of other topics on the forum about this.
Also reading this...just wow.

I mean I'm not deliberately finding ways to bash the game, and i was actually planning to buy it later but after reading such things + all the other horrendous things on the IW forums with little to no support and a horrible port of IWnet, buying the game is out of question now. On top of that the potential IWnet subscriptions or overpriced DLC.
Single player was awesome regardless.

is there any way I can return this game?? I really, really hate it. I want my $$ back.
thx in advance
EDIT:
can I even sell this POS game? or is it only activated to a specific PC? -
so iw won't fix anything?
I'm about to rage. I like the pc version -
Too bad, it's just a lazy port:

I have gotten that error before WITHOUT the Xbox Live part, that image is definitely shopped. Either way, that error indicates that IW has patched the game and you are required to restart the game to make sure the latest patch has been installed. -
Here is a real review this one speaks all of the flaws in MW2 especally the PC version

The single player was epic even though it was short -
Not sure, I got it from here:

Check the game version, it's probably patched up. -
That is a big problem with PC games these days, with all this DRM nonsense, we can't even sell nor gift the game unlike console games.
There are some games that give you 5 activations for instance and so that still could be sold later on. But this is a Steam game and thus impossible to resell or gift. -

I love this game and I pray that IW will at the very least fix bugs in the pc version.
-
I'm hoping for more spec ops missions, anything more single-player.

A friend rented this for his 360 and we beat it today.
I'm really glad I saved my money, I didn't care for the story that much. I enjoyed COD4's story much more than this one.
This was much more linear than COD4 also, and I think the idea behind the story was ok, but executed poorly. It felt a lot more arcade-ish too.
I was looking forward to the music since they had a score made for the game, but it just didn't fit with what was going on most of the time IMO.
Oh well, maybe next time -
just beat cod4 2 in about 6.5 hours, same idea as the first one, which makes the combat get a tiny mite repititive then something new comes to freshen it up. oh btw, the storyline is great... can't wait for mw3 now...

So far single player is living up to the original game. So I'm happy. Still not worth $60 even though I only paid $50, not quite $50 either. $40 would be a good price for this game IMHO.
A couple glitches though. Spoilers or not I don't know, but in this scene, these dudes on the snowmobiles when the fall off they stay static in the air. Kinda weird. Almost all the snowmobile dudes do. Screenshot obviously doesn't do it justice but video would. Oh well, here it is anyhow.
-
lol speaking of screenshots
^didnt happen to me, that glitch, they fell straight off. the ONLY possible glitch i saw in SP was when i tried moving that AUTO-turret in one of the earlier levels, it just froze up and stood there not doing anything when i had to reposition it on the opposite side so i had to therma-snipe everyone... -

I am just reaching the "Wolverines" point in the single-player campaign, and thus far, I find MW2 profoundly boring.
-
Holy COW! When they said the single player was SHORT they meant it. I am a slow player and finished it in about five hours on regular. I just don't care to die and reload every few minutes, I do bad enough as it is ... lol.
That being said, the game lives up to its name, just wish there was more of it. Very well done with excellent cinematics and story.
Haven't tried multiplayer yet, will do tonight. I wouldn't say it's worth $50 let alone $60, but for the single player experience alone I would pay $40 at best. If multiplayer ends up being fun, then I may reconsider. -
i spent nearly 70 hours on dragon age already, seriously need to lay it off. -
The game is a totally different game on the higher difficulties.
-
-
They should have sold the PC version as single player version for $30 ad multiplayer version for $30, at least that way they might have landed a lot more money from the single or multiplayer only crowd. -
I bought this for PS3 even though my computer will run it great. I just prefer the console for MW after trying to play WAW on my lappitytoppitybox.
Story was pretty disjointed and I couldn't really keep up with what the heck was going on, but the action was pretty good. I rather preferred the story of COD4 over this one. Also I hope they add some of the maps from COD4 in a pack because the new maps seem like a campers paradise.
SpecOps are pretty fun as a break to MP
MP is great, don't know if I'll chase the Gold Cross 10 prestige like I did in MW, but I enjoy it nonetheless. -

I just dont like playing FPS in consoles!

I hope they expand the spec ops mode in the future.

Anybody having STEAM connectivity issues this afternoon?
-
yeah, steam friends went down and we were stuck in lobby, apparently steam friends needs to work for mw2 to work.

I grow angry. I want to play, I'm tired from long day of school work and I wanna play. Oh well....

*Mod's are welcome to merge this with other talk about it, or delete it all together if another thread exists. I didn't fine one.*
Well, not official Dedicated Servers.
Apparently some hackers found a way to get Dedicated Servers.

Maybe a nice alternative from the other stuff. Maybe this will be what it takes for IW to realize how much this stuff matters. -

Maybe we should kill the next person that makes a thread about CoD:MW2
(in game of course) Last edited by a moderator: May 7, 2015 -
Ah ok, I looked around and didn't see anyone mentioning it, so I figured I should share it since people are still somewhat upset.
I think there is so much talk about it because this is big news for PC gamers, so it gives us something to do. -

I know, dont worry I said lets kill the next person, not you

I encountered my first hacker yesterday while playing 8-12 man TDM. He was using auto-aim.

you can tell in killcam when they are getting multiple kills. Their targeting will bounce to the next target. I saw one the other night doing it with a sniper rifle he wasn't even looking at me and then all of a sudden he fired and he was pointed at me. I haven't had to many issues with hackers though, its only when they get into a attack helicopter or ac130 that they become annoying.

LOL... well obviously teams are not evenly matched. 3 Kills - 22 Deaths, lol
I thought IWNet is supposed to match players with similar skills, what happened there? -
The blue team must have been composed of people who had mouse in they're hands for the first time in they're life or of people who were entirely playing on lappy's mousepad. -
usapatriot Notebook Nobel Laureate
LOL...rank wise the teams were pretty even, except me of course, I was an outlier.

This game was alright i mean i loved it but it could of been way a lot better. The story line was way to short.

Just started playing multiplayer a few days ago (on PS3), I must say that all the rewards, perks, attachments, killstreaks, new titles, and more are extremely addicting.

I just finished the single player, it really annoyed me, as someone who has seen 24 before it was pretty much 24 - The Game: On Steroids Edition. Don't get me wrong it had it's awesome fun parts but, in terms of storyline - meh. Should have been longer imho and didn't need some weird plot twist in every freaking mission (exaggeration)
-

so im pretty bored of the MP already...bleh

I find ive been playing less, but I have been busy with school. May prestige just to keep things interesting, all my weapons and attachments though
