Crysis 2 is out today in North America?

I can't get into any DAMN server. They either have too high pings, are full (somehow) or are bugged servers that never start the game. This is truly sickening.

 

Join servers that have 10/16. It works. Or join an unranked server.

 

Most servers either have full 16 players and the most of the rest are empty, those with 10/16 usually have super-high pings. For some reason, I have not seen any servers with a ping below 109, is there a lack of US servers or some sort of bug?

And I don't want to join unranked servers because they usually have custom game modifiers and you don't rank up.

The filtering options also don't save so it a pain in the rear to continually have the set them every time you look for a server.

I know it sounds like I am complaining a lot, but when I pay $60 for a game I expect it to work.

 

I'm supporting you there!! It either should be fixed or you should get refund.

 

The multiplayer should have a Nanosuit 1 vs Nanosuit 2 game mode, where two teams fight each other using the different versions. Could be pretty cool.

 

I also keep getting a "Connection to the Server Has Been Lost" errors whenever I do manage to get into a server...

This is ridiculous, I want a refund, too bad I won't get one no matter how much I try. This game is broken.

So usapatriot, with much respect, i dont think the game is broken at all.
It can have issues thats granted, but is far from being broken..like something called black ops (at least before the patches, now is awesome).

Would disagree. Reading forums, it seems the MP on Crysis 2 is possibly the most bugged release ever for an FPS game.

 

Have a look at the MyCrysis forums, I'm far from the only one having connection issues regarding the multipayer portion of Crysis 2.

I feel bad for u guys with MP problems, I get into servers fine every day. just filter >150 ping, and then cross off full and empty, then try going into 14/16 or less and it usually is not full and works... Although it says the pings are high, for some reason there is literally no lag problems for me so far, like there were so many of in bad company 2 that it was unplayable. the most surprising aspect is that its feasable to snipe somebody moving without it not hitting them??? imagine that . remember bad company 2 u snipe and see blood spurt out of head and it doesnt hit because u missed "their" hitbox?

Here's a video I recorded yesterday while playing Crysis 2 on Very High. I recorded this in 720p with fraps capped at 20 fps then WMM lowered quality on it. Without fraps I play on 1920x1080 @ custom Very High without Bloom or HDR but with ssa enabled and medium shadows, also enabling 4xMSAA. Game runs 35fps and up which is very acceptable. Still the game runs very well on my laptop, even though the graphics quality is lower than in the original Crysis. I think the blur and bloom effects completely destroy the visual quality with these texture qualities, and they need to come out with a PC only HIGH rez texture update like they did for Dragon Age 2.

 

As i said, im not saying youre not right or not elegible for a refound.
Im just sayin that its fine as it was the demo here. Just closed a 2 hours session. I suck at it, but im having fun, and its working good.

Crysis 2 Let's Play on PC on Soldier, wussy mode. Seriously with Nano Suit, anything less than Veteran is wussy.

I'm not sure I would consider these good Let's Play but it's what is available for now. I would check the Something Awful Forums for Let's Play for PC, when someone makes one. The rules for posting Let's Play on that forum are strict, ensuring the videos are of high quality, in all manners. The problem is most people don't know what Let's Play is, it's not just playing with commentary.

That was spot on, the 2ND quote is exactly how i feel about game development now a days. It is sad to see the quality of games just not being the same anymore. For some reason game developers seem to think that a simple game is what everyone wants. Or that we all want less options for some odd reason.

I hope the indie game Dev scene takes off, i am becoming disappointed in the current mainstream game market. Hopefully DICE keeps pulling through.
