    I'm playing at 1366x768, it's my native screen resolution, that's why. I had textures set to very high (might as well make the most of the 2GB VRAM!) but everything else on high.

    Good so, single player should be equal or less demanding on my system then? Phew! :)

    does anybody know if my Radeon HD 6630m is capable of running Crysis 3 reasonably well? i'm overclocking it by 25% and am playing multiplayer Battlefield 3 on MEDIUM settings at 1400x900 (no MSAA or AO) with average fps of about 40. i'm asking this so i don't download multi-GBs of data and only to realize later that it was all for nothing.

    true. I think the final version will look even better and be even more demanding just as crytek promised

    Low at 720 i can play pretty good with my hd 7660g. Mid 30's for the most part lowest dip i had was about 26fps for s second then back to the mid 30's. overall it was very playable at low at 720. I could even bump a setting or two upto med and still play fine.

    Update Hd 7660g running it at 720 on med. settings. mid to low 30's for the most part with a rare dip into the upper 20's so its deff. playable.

    I somehow feel that the graphics on Crysis 2 were better then this. But then again I have only tried alpha and beta, hopefully final product will be better :)

    Tried it for a bit. High settings with FXAA 1920x1080 res with my OCd 680m and it seemed to be on the 60fps side most of the time. On max settings I had around 40ish but I didn't stay much in such settings to give a correct impression. I will try with the newest beta drivers.

    I got around 35-50 fps on very high, FXAA. To be honest I didn't notice much difference between High and Very High, except my performance dropped from 60-70 to 40fps.

    I noticed I had to manually select Very High textures. I didn't notice much tho haha.

    Working great this way on the g46... averaging 50ish fps on high, native res of 1366x768 helps here ;-)

    Totally getting my butt kicked however but that's usually the case ha

    Call me CRAZY but.......

    For me multiplayer is another animal. I WANT my FPS to be at a min of 60 and do everything i can to get between 120-150-to 200 fps if possible!

    For competitive MP, its not about the gpu crushing graphics (although crytec is beautiful even at LOW) its about the game running as smooth and efficient as possible. Any lag or stutter (due to too hi a setting) is gonna get you dead...lol.

    I will wait till the singler player mode to push my two 7970's to the max. For now and the almost 25 hours i have in C3 MP its about low settings, max fps, loadout feels, and general raping!

    So other settings to try to get the most FPS in C3....most carry over from c2.....

    you can create an autoexec.cfg file (in notepad) or enter via console (~)

    r_glow = 0
    r_motionblur = 0.0001
    r_hdrbrightlevel = 0
    r_hdrbloommul = 0
    r_hitblur = 0

    sys_maxfps = y (y being your refresh rate of monitior...60hz y=61 or 120hz y=121)

    Good luck see you guys out there

    I will try that, I disabled motion blur in the graphics menu settings and it's still happening from time to time.

    Motion blur is one of the most annoying features in any game IMO.

    Great, another Crysis with better graphics and new maps. Same old overdone and boring multiplayer gameplay that people seem to keep playing every year.

    I played the beta for 20 minutes and had enough. At least there will still be a single player mode, which should be interesting.

    nice dude

    im running all at max and AF at 4x and no motion blur.
    and my fps is really nice for these beasts as i expected lower performance from others with the same setup kinda.
    i guess im lucky or something.

    if the full game is better optimized im probly going to sitt around this area still 50-60 fps hopefully.

    I play with everything on max aside motion blur (low) and 2XMSAA and average 50-60fps in mp. I'm overclocked, but still have nowhere near the level of performance you've got with 7970m cfx. You'll definitely be able to stay at 60fps on those settings :)

    that 680m should still have good preformance at stock with crysis 3. my buddy has got a sager with 680m at stock hes pushing 40-48 at stock.
    i tried my 7970m with xfire disabled and im running pretty much the same 43-49 fps at stock.

    everything maxed out sept motion blur and 4xmsaa

    You can definitely feel the difference. In competitive shooters (quake, unreal tournament, counter strike) pro's tend to aim to have 200fps+ and will reduce settings accordingly (even though its not being rendered visibly).

    That said, Crysis is never going to involve that sort of precision, so ~40-50 fps should be fine.

    Unless the release date changes, I don't see how much different/better it is going to be from Beta, I personally don't recall a launch so quickly after a beta ends. Amazon still has my physical copy estimated delivery 2/19, I dare say any physical copies will not have any new/improved code from Beta tests since it goes to what, the 12th? Pretty sure those suckers are already burned, packed and floating towards us.

    Seems to me that any problems found in the beta tests will wind up as a launch patch, hopefully it's not like a 750MB patch that makes me think they rushed the port.

    Yeah I dont see the point in AA, never use it except on just cause 2, it sure looks great there, but I cant justify the performance loss with other games

    IMO the beta looks amazing on low settings/ No AA

    Depends on the game, but Crysis 3 has FXAA, which IMO looks about as good as 4xMSAA without the performance cost.

    try the game on low, of course low isnt better and high pointless but i get better frames on low.
    Currently Im playing with a mix of very high, high and medium and it does look better. have yet to mess with AA / FXAA

    The game's pretty fun, I'm definitely liking the hunter mode. It runs fairly good as well. Running a G53SW, GTX460m, 2630QM, running @ 1280x720 120Hz, everything max, max AA as well, with shadows on med, and shading med. Not sure what the FPS is at, but it feels like it never dips below 40fps.

    There is one problem though, the game already has hackers. I've run into a few aimbotters already. I just hope the final product has some good anti cheat software.

    this game looks great no doubt about it. I mean the best looking game to date obviously but it's not even out yet.

    my 6990m runs it all veryhigh shadows medium no aa or 1x aa with 16x af and looks identical to all maxed. the difference is 19fps or 30fps. take your pick eh.

    very high isn't worth it imo, massive hit even without AA

    Just an FYI for anyone planning to buy...Amazon currently has a promo for the physical version pre-order:

    " Get a $20 credit, the Amazon Exclusive Brawler Pack and the original Crysis
    Pre-order Crysis 3 and receive a $20 promotional credit toward the purchase of items shipped and sold by Amazon.com (certain exclusions apply, including but not limited to Kindle books, gift cards, and Amazon Appstore for Android Apps). Pre-orders also receive the Amazon exclusive Brawler Pack, giving you day one access to the Feline X3 submachine gun, featuring an extremely fast rate of fire and a 60 round magazine, along with other Hunter Edition content, like day one multiplayer access to the predator bow, the recon arrow and more. Also, for a limited time, customers who pre-order Crysis 3 will receive a free digital download of the original Crysis game for Xbox 360, PS3, or PC. These offers will be extended to all existing pre-orders. Amazon reserves the right to change or terminate this promotion at any time. Access codes and promotional credit will be e-mailed within two business days after your order ships. Offer valid when shipped and sold by Amazon.com, while supplies last. Limited to one per customer. Please read the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live terms of use.
    "

    Amazon.com: Crysis 3: Pc: Video Games

    Makes it a $40 launch assuming you would ever buy something from Amazon again. They don't offer diddly so far for the download at $60, but that may be an oversight as they list that available the 22nd, may need updating.

    / back to beta downloading

    Can you use the key in Origin if you buy boxed copy? I buy a TON of stuff from Amazon. I'd consider it if I can use the key on Origin.
