Then tell me what your impressions and results and stuff are by pm or post a new subject... Including 2-3 screen shots please (mainly like water (underwatertoo) close up on plants)
That'd be awesome -

but also remember that the beta isn't fully optimized. The demo should be better optimized and the game will be optimized greatly but the beta will be iffy :s.
and woot 30 mins to begin download!! -
Well... looks like they also released a new client (Beta Client #3) for this batch, and it's supposed to include a ton of bug fixes and performance improvements. Hopefully I'll be able to more comfortably play at medium settings, and maybe even bump some stuff up to high...
I'm also waiting on the 163.71 drivers from Laptopvideo2go, since it's supposed to greatly improve Crysis performance also.
In the mean time, all of you playing Crysis should install the 163.69's, since they also improve Crysis performance over previous drivers, and they've been stable for me in all my other games. -
The Beta 2 client ran like crap. Had the coolest freaking interface though. But ran like crap.
-
YAY, I got a key, but I guess I wont even be able to play the beta since most of you who have better computers seem to be having a hard time running it decently. Damn it I ran both Bioshock and Medal of Honor Airborne on high (restricted to 1280x768 resolutions and with 15-26FPS?), but my laptops handicap when it comes to Crysis?
-
I wonder if my system can run it at 640x480
edit: It says I don't meet the minimum requirements -
-
Hers a sign for my laptop and Crysis.

Sweet!! Got my key and downloading the client.
-
crysis looks amazing. The beta is dx9 right? Anyways I ran it at 1440x1050 all high except volumetric/shader settings on low....no AA neither...ran pretty smooth.
-
is every beta release different from the previous one?! i didn't get the 3d one, cuz the wait/dnload time is crazy, i just used the key from the 3d to dnload the second release from usenet...

Anyone Know of any rapidshare links for The Beta 3 or Any different Links at all!? the wait times are insane!
-
im not even sure if any notebook gpu is going to able to handle Crysis at highish settings....sure it looks amazing but in the trailers and stuff it's probably being played dual 8800 ultra or the like.
-
-
If you download and install Beta Client #2, there won't be any servers to play on... (and you can't play offline).
Edit:
Edit2: Yes, the beta is DX9 only. -
hopefully my 8700 WIll like it
also i dont mind Medium Settings on a resolution 1440x900
Wish someone WOuld upLoad it to somewhere else! -
yeah, no crap...it should be on usenet probably by tomorrow or wednesday the latest...

-
i was talking about low settings on my desktop specs i listed lol...not laptop
the Sager is going to kick ass!! not as much as some SLI computer but for my needs itll be great! -
are the online servers down? can't log in and it recommends medium settings for me with a 8800gtx, e6300, 2gigs ram =/
-
LOL thats sucks ass.....Make sure you have all the best drivers and Try is on High anyways lol...
my download speed is going from 44kbps - 300kbps lol so itll take awhile! -
if not high hopefully i can atleast do medium on my 24".
-
yes...also make sure your not trying extreme Resolutions lol...
thats cam make a HUGE difference...thats why i love my 19" Widescreen...Max is 1440x900 which is a Great Medium resolution and it makes me feel good to be able to run stuff at high settings lol -
running on medium, high physics, low water texture I have some small artifacting but I think just that my computer had to load the textures, first time was insane now it's playable.
Can probably do high but wil be low fps...
res: 1280x768, no aa seems to make artifacting...need to update drivers I guess -
-
On my desktop, at 1680x1050, 2xAA, medium settings I can average a framerate in the low 30s. Absolutely atrocious. Looking around the Google search results for "Crysis Beta performance", I'm not alone - Core 2 Q6600 rigs with SLI 8800GTX's rigs are reported to buckle on "high" above 1920x1200. A single 8800 Ultra couldn't spit out 1680x1050 at high settings acceptably. No wonder DX10 and "Very High" are disabled - nothing would be able to run them anyways!
Rainbow 6 Vegas. World in Conflict. Now Crysis. When will developers learn that developing for hardware that doesn't exist yet isn't going to win them any favors? -

My system is indicated in my signature.
After a quick ten minute test I was getting acceptable performance (24+FPS) with the following settings:
800 x 600
2xAA
Terrain: Medium
Texture: Medium
Everything else on Low.
I plan to bump up the resolution today to 1024 x 768 and test it out.
If you have a system more powerful than mine you will be able to run Crysis just fine. -
Why are people posting information on how Crysis MP Beta runs? Under NDA, you should not be sharing ANY information related to the beta.
-
The beta is closed again... just too late
-
I must have missed the part of the NDA that said you couldn't talk about general performance. Guess I won't mention what I was going to mention. I think people are too high strung on what good performance is, but that's just me I guess.
DCP if you took those screen shots from within the game, you need to take them down. As that is for sure violating the NDA.
In the end, I feel bad for people who live with the best of the best of the best all the time, because even the smallest degree or loss in anything destroys experiences for them, it's just too bad -
anyone have any trouble with cryengine crashing when you start actual gameplay? -
did anyone upload it anywhere, like rapidshare or something?
edit: guess, it'll be uploaded to usenet pretty soon...they r in the process.. -
Huzzah for optimization! I can now run it at 1280x800, all high settings (except low shadows, physics, and sound quality), and get a choppy but (kind of) playable 20 FPS. And it will only get better from here with new drivers and new optimizations to the engine (they still have two months). Yay! -
anyone else having problems with the cryengine crashing during gameplay? anyone know a possible solution?
