Yeah played it the other night.
It was a blast and then had to uninstall it due to the graphics bug.
Will wait for an update to fix the graphics issues.

Im a big gamer, just as much as the rest, but I dunno, maybee others might enjoy this more then I. I only am a PC gamer, I feel like it will be some what of a console port to PC. Not to be a downer for the fans here. Ill buy it, but unless it does something for me I will probably play it a few times and it will sit in my steam games list like 90% of the games I buy and not be played after a few sessions. Games certainly in my eyes are not what they once were for the PC.
Im big competitive gamer tho, looking forward to other titles. I will give it a go though. I do like open world games, maybee that will spark something with me to keep me playing.MahmoudDewy, JRE84, Mr. Fox and 1 other person like this. -
I am probably a horrible gamer in the minds of the people that like to refer to themselves as a "hardcore gamer" LOL. My interests are very narrow and limited and I lose interest in a matter of minutes if it doesn't capture my attention during the opening cut scenes. I am not competitive at all, despise online multiplayer anything and do not like anything that requires strategy, accumulation of materials and crafting, problem-solving or dialogue with AI characters. I also have a hard time staying engaged in open-world titles and prefer a linear game where my participation is primarily nothing but the execution of as many acts of violence against the AI characters as possible. If I find a weapon or a particular melee move that works effectively for me I am happy to play through the entire game exacting destruction using that one weapon and one melee move from start to finish. I also love single-player god mode and infinite ammo/weapon cheats and use them when they are available.

Gameplay looks quite GTA-ish... which is not necessarily bad.
That flying scene looks like it's some sort of automated travel. I do wish they'll have player controlled flying cars...Last edited: Jul 17, 2020 -
I'm so glad this will support DLSS 2.0, my 2080 is grateful too. -
bah i just have a 1060..im sure ill be able to run console level and have it still look nice..no ray tracing but gawd damn does this game look good now

That video posted by @JRE84 (above) is probably one of the best examples of impressive graphics for this title that I have seen so far. Less of a GTA cartoonish look in that one. -
the character meshes look rounded and un realistic, but that lighting and those shaders...if only it didn't look so gta v as mr fox pointed out

IMO the graphics and art direction is representative of a AAA level graphically intense open world RPG. I'm really more interested in how the complete package comes together to form an enjoyable game in a genre that I like. I mean I like games that have lower quality graphics like Dusk (yes I know not even a game in the same ballpark aside from first-person perspective, but representative of "potato" graphics.. which reminds me I need to get Amid Evil, they added RTX... lets talk about how New Blood is killing it..) so to me the total package of game play and immersion is more important than focusing on the raw features of the graphics engine as long as it serves the vision. To me the art direction is more important than the graphics themselves. If the art direction is great, graphics bells and whistles can only enhance it to a higher level when they work together (Metro: Exodus and Control with RTX come to mind).
I'm just saying, for what I expect to get out of Cyberpunk 2077, the graphics look great and I'm not too concerned. Even if the final product is different to make a playable and performant game it will still be fine. They learned from the Witcher 3 "downgrade" overblown reaction and added a huge "PRE-RELEASE, NOT REPRESENTATIVE OF FINAL GAME APPEARANCE" on every reveal so far. So it seems they realized not everyone understands what it takes to make an actual playable open world game and that early footage is sometimes pie-in-the-sky features and assets while they are trying to optimize. Building a game to make all these systems come together to form a great experience is HARD. But they learned a hard lesson about how to market to the general public that doesn't spend all day building games.Prototime, killkenny1 and Mr. Fox like this. -

The graphical fidelity and level of detail look insane. It reminds me of an open-world Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, which IMO was one of the best-looking games of this generation. The art direction is gorgeous too--the neon, lens flares, neo-noir aesthetic have the Blade Runner vibe down pat. I'm so hyped and will definitely be building a new Zen 3 and Ampere/RDNA2 based rig just for this game.

Indeed. It's good to have hope and optimism. Better to have evidence. As much as possible, I try to avoid giving my money to people making promises and only pay for results. The road to hell is paved with good intentions.

Furthermore, AMD's main issue is that DLSS 2.0 is such black magic that not having an answer to it makes their entire product line unattractive. Then their ray-tracing technology is likely to be less advanced than Nvidia's, especially with Ampere said to significantly decrease the performance hit.
Not buying into RTX is just shooting yourself in the foot to spite your own interests. -

You do have a 2080Ti however, so.... you bought the most luxury and lowest dollar per frame value proposition of the 1st gen RT cards. But I know you're a benchmarker first and foremost, which means high wattage CPUs and the best GPU you can get to bump those scores.

actuallly I got that from jayz two cents on you tube he claims and many other people claims the midrange rdna 2 gpu found in the xbox series x will be as fast as the 2080ti at just over 12 tera flops... cool that you guys jump to conclusions and assume im just dreaming
and linus thinks it will be only as fast as a 2070 super which is still very impressive
too be honest there is about a thousand or so videos showing the midrange rdna 2 gpu being equal to the 2080ti... @Kevin @hfm @Mr. FoxLast edited: Jul 18, 2020hfm likes this. -
Also, no one has seen what an RDNA2 based card for PC is going to perform like, if they say they do they are lying. AMD has announced nothing. -
Gaming is important to me, but I am happy with the notebook 2060 for gaming. It's good enough. No point in spending more on gaming than necessary. It doesn't really yield as much benefit and doesn't really add a lot of value as long as the experience is smooth and the framerate is high enough.
TL;DR - Let's wait and let the fat lady sing, and then we'll critique her style, presentation, and range. If she doesn't make the cut, then we'll make her ashamed for even showing her face on the stage.Last edited: Jul 18, 2020 -

I have been gaming with amd and Nvidia for a very long time and always seem to have more glitches with amd..not sure why and I'm sure the gaming community would argue this

I just wish it would be out already so I can play it on my crappy GTX 1080. Sigh...

I was sighing because I want to play the game, not the card
Personally I think it's going to be fine but if not I'll upgrade although that wont happen until things start to play out (more) with ampere. I had always planned on skipping the 20 series, the timing when I bought the 1080 was clearly going to see it getting a little weak right about the time the 20 series was getting kicked to the curb for the next thing and made an upgrade road map choice back then that I have to wear my daddy pants and live with now. I hate daddy pants.

yeah I was wrong as per usual! this game visually is looking unreal and sureal. it no longer looks like the characters are made of plastic im thinking its the sub surface scattering being used. gameplay wise I think its cool that the makers of witcher are doing a fps game. should be out of this world. i'll hold my breath on crysis remastered but at least we have this and MSFS 2020
The Proof I was wrong
and a must watch if your interested.....this game is LOOKING GREAT
and another one I watched that has some pretty amazing opinions.

They just released this one a few days back, life paths and weapons both get looked at in greater detail than has been seen previously. This also has within the latest actual in game visuals released so far and as described above they are significantly better than the stuff shown at the official announcement.
