How is this game coming along for everyone? I'm having trouble when engaging multiple guards. For example when trying to get to the golden cat, I couldn't eliminate more than 3 guards. The first one was easy and then I can get the one standing across the street at the building. After that I get pounced and told " you made someone a widow, you ." I tried bending time with no luck. Finally I just made a break and ran to the door. Boring

How did anyone else get through this or any other combat examples like it? ?

I tend to play a hybrid of stealth and action. On the mission with the Golden Cat- I stealthily moved from the ceiling, or pillars, what ever you called them, then took the guards out one by one. I tend to use blink more than anything. So I would just blink to the guy real fast, engage sword cutscene, then blink to hiding. And when crap hits the fan, I pretty much just use my pistol and sword on everybody. If you are not doing stealth, you can just sit atop the rooftops of houses and just snipe everyone with a crossbow.

I wasn't up on top of the roof or ledge, but I can see that only helping you with 1 guard. I generally do as you do; stealth around then blink and kill. I guess I need to blink and hide to a better location.

I don't have enough arrows to pick people off. I wish that guy would come on missions so he can resupply.

In the Overseer Campbell Mission, do you mean?

I'm pretty amazed, my laptop is way below the minimum specs, but the game runs perfectly for me at 1080p with FXAA and all other settings maxed. Excellent frame rate, very smooth, no crashing or hanging.

No freezing issues at all, but sometimes when I reload a save game, it lags for a second or two.

Im finally starting to get the hang of the game. I did notice though if Im playing offline my keybindings are set to default, but if im online, they are set to my liking.

Well I finsihed it. Didn't take too long. I wouldn't say more than 15 hours. I didn't like the ending/
When I was making my way through the light house, I found a lot of elixir and health along with rods and pistols. Yet when saving emily, all I needed to do was blink and catch her.

Other than that I thought the game was great. Waiting for some DLC

Finished in 15 hours? Seems we have used different playing styles (or perhaps you are simply more skilled). I'm almost 30 hours in at this point, currently in the middle of the quest to get the Lord Regent.

Playing on Very Hard, all objective markers off, trying to find the runes and bone charms without using the heart. I certainly keep dying and reloading frequently, but also, it seems to take a lot of time to explore each map and figure out where to go, try to eavesdrop on NPC conversations, etc.

I'm estimating 15 hours. Steam says 8.3 with 17 0f 50 accomplishments, but I played the first 2 missions offline, so the time and accomplishments didn't register.

I played on hard and didn't fuss too much with collecting every bone charm or rune. I was more interested in the story. I've already started playing again. This time I'll probably explorer a little more.

    Dishonored DLC coming soon!

    ***
Dishonored: Dunwall City Trials, being released in December for $4.99 (or 400 Microsoft Points), will include 10 challenge maps that will test and track your combat, stealth and mobility skills. Ten distinct trials await challengers – including an arena battle against waves of enemy AI, a gravity-defying run of drop assassinations, and a race against the clock. Dunwall City Trials also features a whole new set of achievements and trophies as well as a global online leaderboard that will establish the greatest assassins for each challenge.

The second and third add-ons for Dishonored will be coming in 2013 and will each feature story-driven campaigns. Pricing on these two packs will be revealed closer to launch.

Daud, the leader of a group of supernatural assassins known as ‘The Whalers’, will be the focus of the second add-on pack, scheduled for release in early Spring 2013. Make your way through new Dunwall locales and discover Daud’s own set of weapons, powers and gadgets in this story-driven campaign. How you play and the choices you make will impact the final outcome…

Additional story details on the third add-on pack will be revealed closer to its launch next year.

    Currently looking into this game.
Just finished Deus Ex:HR and its DLC and I was shocked at how awesome those games were.
The gameplay in Dishonored looks similar and the reviews i've read all mention great storylines, which is important for me.
I was going to wait until this goes on sale though since ACIII comes out soon.
