Thank you both for contributing to my help. I really appreciate it a lot. I'm reading over the info. I'll have to post a pic showing what I have now, etc. I can't really play too well in Nightmare, Act 2 right now.![]()

Yea, post up your stats and we can help. Also post your build.
Currently have a 60 Wiz Act 3 Inferno so I can help you out, and I know a few others have wizards in Inferno in here. -
I have a level 60 barb and 60 wizard both in inferno. How do you guys like the RMAH?? The prices of items in both RMAH and AH dramatically increase. It's ridiculous.

The question is...will someone really spend $250 on a virtual piece of armor or a weapon? I know i won't -
ViciousXUSMC Master Viking NBR Reviewer
Yes somebody will. -
Yes, lots of people have been buying items worth $250. I know a lot of players in other forum site who's been really getting lucky selling items at max price in RMAH. They are posting their transaction history.
Even trashy items are selling. Gold AH prices are up also due to that.
I hope patch 1.0.3 can help with the economy as its really off-balance atm. -
now you proved you are 15-20
good years
enjoy your time man! And don't be ashamed of it, people who are making fun of it should be ashamed as they forgot who they were once
-
Cause you have kids and must save for their college
anyway even if I had a fortune, I wouldn't.. Slick btw perma smile is in effect
-
I just sold a virtual amulet for $199.75 (after fees). I'd hazard some better items will sell with a $50.25 premium. Perceived benefit is confusing.
-
was just shocked
i leave in russia but i boughy euro version. and now i cant use rmah couse they dont wanna to use my paypal acc

Are there still horrible lag issues with D3? I still hear people have bad lag issues with the game, that is the last thing preventing me from buying it, I played too much D2/LoD so I'd like to get back into the game. I just don't want to spend 50 bucks on the game and it be unplayable.
-
It's actually playable. Your system can surely handle it on max settings. But yes, lag spikes occasionally. It's so random, there can be a stretch of hours without any lag then there can be a span of a minute with few or plenty of lag spikes.
In general, game is playable. I guess you will be more concern on the game's nature/mechanics. There are many disappointed players due to how the game turned out. Introduction of RMAH, difficulty in higher acts of inferno, endless grinding for gears, D3 not being the same as D2, etc are some of the things raised in this thread. Obviously there are problems, but if you can avoid expecting too much, then maybe you will find the game enjoyable.
Every player is different so impression varies. I hope you enjoy it if you finally decided on getting the game
-
in other words, buy the game if settling for mediocrity is in your nature.
-
I have decided I am NOT going to return it.
I have already made a slight profit from selling the stuff I found so I consider the point moot.
However, I have stopped playing regularly as it is quite literally not that fun and I don't see a realistic continued profit from it to cover the fun lost from playing or replaying an infinitely superior game like Skyrim.
(This won't stop me from selling items to fools willing to pay real money for all-too-easily attained items.)
If D3 does not drastically improve with 1.03 or future patches, I am 100% done buying Blizzard products. -
1.03 should be out today, the release note is so long and mmoish.

You'll have to play to get items. If you don't enjoy it, you should consider that you'll be earning less than your time is worth if you worked pretty much anywhere else (unless your time is nearly worthless). -
I just went in and tried it. My DPS went down on my Wiz in her dps gear from 35k to 27k from the ias nerf. Time to find some new rings and such. Already switched out my gloves with a pair I was thinking would be better after the patch.
I already did the first 3 quests in act 2 inferno. Act 2 is doing like 1/4 the damage it did before. I died twice but to elite packs which were just fast and hard to kite. First repair bill was 20k. I read someone had a 53k. Maghda was easier to kill than anything leading up to her from the beginning of act 2. Before, my Templar got 1 shotted by the first normal mob, but now he's dying sparingly to elite packs.
IAS was basically reduced on all items. My rings got reduced from like 13 to 5 percent. The difference with act 2-4 is just insane now. I joined a public game and did A Royal Audience with 4 people. We all did fine. Act 2 is now where it's supposed to be, harder than act 1, but possible.
However, people with bad gear are still running around complaining about act 2. That's expected. My wizard has 36k hp, 26.5k dps, and 500+ resists. I only had an issue with fast elites so far. I'm so conflicted now, I want to finish leveling my level 50 monk but now I feel like I can finish inferno today if I want haha. -
Damn, that sucks. Dreading to think what my 70K DPS and almost 4.0 attack speed has become now.
Edit - Not live in Europe yet, but I can see they've scheduled maintenance... -

Are you sure my system specs can handle 1920x1200 high settings? I didn't try out the free Beta weekend, and system requirements is 4870 desktop (5870M = 5770 = 4870) but can it handle high settings without lag? -
You should re-read the rest of my post as you misunderstand me...
My time playing Diablo is my fun-time.
If I was having lots of fun, I wouldn't care if I was making money or not.
If I could have fun and make a few dollars, I'd consider that a plus.
If I could earn enough guaranteed money to make a reasonable profit, I'd spend "work" time in D3.
D3 is simply not worth my time on either side of the fence as quite frankly I actually have more fun at work than playing D3. -
I honestly cant notice a difference between high and low, was using 1600x900 blown up to 1080p(laptop brick for a while so use a htpc) and it wasn't that bad.
text are almost unreadable at native resolution by the way. -
SOrry it took so long, and I appreciate your offer for helping me.
Level 47 Wizard- STR - 282
- DEX - 343
- INT - 813
- VIT - 600
- ARM - 1053
- DMG - 1525.51
Details- Damage Increased by 813.00%
- Intelligence Dmg Increased by Skills - 15.00%
- Attacks per Second - 1.62
- Critical Hit Chance - 5.00%
- Crtical Hit Dmg - +50.00%
I have pics of all the gear I have on if that'll help lol.
-
Even with the nerfs I'd think you'd still be good to at least do farm runs for better gear.
-
Having a difficult time motivating myself to play the game. The itemization just kills it for me. I miss the diversity of D2 items, with useful bonuses and runewords.
for example... it's sad that Tal Rasha' complete set in D3 gives 3% extra lightning damage, whereas in D2, it provided 6 or so extra bonuses. now, the only thing we get are incremental stat increases. sigh. -
Too many complex affixes would mess up auction house sorting and pricing. Diablo III is built around its auction houses so...Blizz can't do too much about that.
-

This game suffers from the WoW complex. No fixing it unfortunately. -
and that's why D3 is more of an Ebay Simulator than an ARPG. Seriously, for a game centered around an auction house, why am I limited to just 3 filters, without an ability to sort by "Ending Soonest"?
-
On the topic of performance:
I put up a video of Diablo 3 running a Vaio S13: GT 640M LE (Kepler), Ivy Bridge i5-3210M. -
Very true. I thought the exact same thing. So many items that get overlooked ,by noobs or those who don't know how to search efficiently, have to be re-listed over and over. The D3 AH is also nowhere near as good as WoW's. I was so shocked when I first went into the AH. It's so primitive.
-
It's an okay game, but I don't think that it's a game that deserves any high praises especially when it took over 4 years for it to come out. There are way too many random items with random stats and numbers that just make it impossible for you to find the right item, which forces me to use the auction house.
-
Well, my bro had been buying low with gold and selling for USD, just made enough for 2 cdkey and possible expansion keys..
-
same here. Made enough for any possible expansions, TL2, and GW2.
-
the game itself has been a major disappointment and it seems like Blizzard knows that. they just seem content on milking what they can, while they can.
anyone that has alot of "high praise" for this game either didn't play part 1 or 2 or has never played a good game.
where the hell is PvP??? all i see are AH fixes and irrelevant nerfs. -
PVP is supposed to be patch 1.1. When that patch comes out is anyone's guess.
-
Decided to test out a new build, splashed out 15mil on new gear.. and beat Inferno Diablo in a 3 man team. I went down once to the shadow clone things. Diablo couldn't even deal any damage 'cause I kept freezing him and healing any damage instantly; the proc on acid cloud is insane... Acid Tank 1k LOH WD FTW.
I bet Blizzard will be nerfing LOH next... it's rather awesome. Guess I will be farming the Pony level now, a little harder since they fixed the exploit. -
electrosoft Perpetualist Matrixist
Go beat it solo......
-
For info.
Also I read there's a huge ban wave for those botting the MF gear switch and AH. Bliz should have done this earlier. Economy is just in deepsh|t right now
-
The last time I looked into Diablo III, when it was released, Blizzard had enormous problems. I hope they have solved them by now.
-
Already have haha. I facetanked his 14.6mil hp without moving... got critically low once, but always regained full HP (47k HP, 700+ resists, 1.1k LOH, 900 HP regen a sec, 12k DPS, 4.3k armor) within a second. I stood in his fire thing and gained thousands of HP, was quite funny, but took a while. Love my tank docta
So if anyone needs help with bosses and is playing on the European servers let me know!
Good to hear that drop rates are getting adjusted, have been getting petty stuff in Act 2-4 :/ -
You mean the server instability the first few days? Yeah, bro, they're fixed now...
-
Started a barbarian yesterday... 12 hours later..... that time included some break time and character was sitting in town lol.
Level 34, just starting NM, and 1268 dps right now.
-
People are still playing this pile of ?
-
Yeah. I only play 4-6 hours per week and only single player (never buy or trade on AH either). I am currently at the point where I am supposed to kill Azmodan in Act III. I
I have enjoyed the game so far, its not what I had hoped/expected but its good enough.
The item system they have is trash and the drop rates are stupid though. I have had tons and tons of yellows drop, 1 legendary, and 0 set items drop. I cant believe devs are still stupid enough to create set items with a given level of intended use but make their drop rates so pathetic it is not mathematically possible to ever obtain a full set (much less a single set piece). -
I've found my first set item, a few legendary items, and a lot of rare/blues... nothing great though.
I've gotten my barb and monk into inferno. My demon hunter is lvl 59, so he'll be there today. I've also put all settings on high, enabled aa, and have enjoyed it. -
I can still see about 1500-2000 players on public on peak time. Its so much low from the previous 20k at a time from the 1st 2 weeks though. Still playing because it serves as a chat room between me, cousin and friends while playing
. Got 3 decently geared level 60 atm. Maybe I'll try to level all classes til I get tired of it
-
I'm waiting for when Activision decides it's OK to lower the price on Diablo 3 to $10.
-
^ Seeing that Diablo 2 is still $20 on blizzard's site (I know, it's the base + exp), it's not likely...

One week I put an embarrassing amount of time in - something like 50-60 hours farming and I got ZERO drops (all trash). No upgrades. Nothing of high value.
This is when I quit. What a big waste of time. Not rewarding at all.
That drained all the "competitive" out of me and since then, I've barely played any games other than the occasional Civ V game or CoH skirmishes, which total less than 10 hrs a week.
Out of our entire SWTOR/WoW guild that began playing D3 together (around 25 people), only 1 person remains and all he does is buy/resell items in the AH for money. We have one guy in our guild who invested about 120 hours over the course of 2 weeks and got it worse than me ...zero upgrades/zero drops of high value ...just trash.
All of us pretty much feel the same way - we feel betrayed by Blizzard. -
My bro start HC, and it feel pretty Diabloish. Just that build is so restricted it is not fun. I mean it get boring after using same skillset for 50 levels.
