I am learning to hate Alma real fast though. It's not as creepy as Doom 3 so far, but it has its scary moments.

I am liking this more than the originals, but it is a lot different, the scares are spaced out and random now, not predictable like the previous games once you got used to the formula. Now I am on edge pretty much constantly... lol Great game, glad I bought it. :)

The game is alot better than the first, but even at 1am in the morning in a pitch black room with surround sound it doesn't scare me, though no game really does. It did make me jump once when one of those weird things jumped on me from behind in the hospitol for the first time.

Right now I'm at the point where I have to go to some old nuclear reactor which is actually another armacham facility. I've been playing it on normal, and it is pretty easy, infact I've only used two medkits so far, and those were both because I accidentally walked backwards into fire. And I've died about 3 times, but again, my fault by accidentally messing up a grenade throw and having it bounce off the roof and back into my face once, then twice shooting a shotgun at the guys with tanks on their backs too close and blowing up.

The game stuttering issue that the demo had isn't there anymore, now the only stuttering you'll see is every time the game quicksaves which is only once every few minutes, and never during action.

    It's awesome indeed.
The way it`s meant to be played is with a 5.1 system, in a dark room and no other light sources around :D

Well I went to spend some of my chump change on FEAR 2 today. The store had about a dozen copies on the shelf Friday. Today they are sold out! Good for the developer, bad for me. :(

I finished the entire game on normal, and now 1/4th the way through on hard, and never even noticed the game used any grain filter til I just read this. It's a very subtle effect. I also have my display set to the highest contrast mode, and the game set to the 2nd brightness level so it's all very dark, that might be drowning out the film grain effect. There's no option to turn it on or off directly in the options menus though.
