    I'm now "Very Evil"

I blew up megaton. Got my suite. I now sit and laugh at the puny people below.

I love this game. It's everything I could have wished for in Oblivion. Guns and skill levels. Good stuff.

This game has weird save issues. I once loaded into an area where I killed a bunch of super mutants and one was alive again. Another time a guy I killed flew across the screen when I loaded my save. It wasn't like I had saved mid fall either. I killed him a bit before I saved.

This probably seems like a dumb question but where the hell do you adjust the graphics in this game at? I remember doing it a little at some point, but now when I go to the display options I can't even see an option to change the resolution...

You can adjust them by running "FalloutLauncher.exe" and going to options :)

Dude I didn't even think about mods. I downloaded the Coca-Cola mod. I always thought it was weird seeing "Nuka" all over the place.

    SPOILER

You can bomb megaton to get the suite in Tennpenny AND kill Tennpenny (the owner) I actually just needed his rifle to repair mine, so I saved and decided to kill him for fun. One guy chased me, I killed him. No one else cared. The guards don't do anything. The people don't do anything. In fact, they all love me for killing the zombie dudes nearby.

I tried playing it for a few hours and gave up past Megaton. Mods better make this game better. Never played Oblivion before and I'm a huge fan of the original Fallout.

What I'm hoping for are some mods that add models to some of the weapons in the console. Did you know that you can get Liberty Prime's laser through the console? Only problem is it has no model. Someone should get to creating custom models for such.

Just finished the game (technically I finished it 4 times because I saved in the right place to watch different endings). Its kind of like Fallout 1.5 in 3d. The variations in the ending are not as wide ranging as F2.

Most of the rants that I see about 3 is from people who have no idea about the history of the game. One review I read the guy was *****ing because he couldn’t hit anything in FPS mode. If you know the history of fallout and have plaied the other games you will see how amazing this game is.

I died a little inside when I heard this was going to be a FPS style game. I was highly reluctant to even try it. But I broke down and did. I am absolutely amazed at how well Bethesda brought this world to the first person view. The integration of VATS is amazing. I actually found my slef playing 3 like I plaid 1 and 2. even though the mechanics are entirely different. I don’t know how they did it, but they nailed it so perfectly I cant believe it. I want to violently punch anyone in the head who makes some dumbass comment referring to how it isn’t like Call of Duty 4 or some other FPS. That isn’t what this game is about!

    Good.
Game play and graphic performance. Load times. RETURN OF FALLOUT!!! YA!!

    Bad.
Lack of one shot one kills to the head. Glancing blows? Ok, maybe. But 9 times out of 10 a direct hit to the head should be end story. Cant silently murder someone in their sleep and not have the entire town instantly know it was you and want to kill you.

    Furious about!
I ****ING despise the trade system. Bethesda! How could you **** this up so bad, yet get everything else so right. What pisses me off is that it would take a complete re-work of the game to fix it. You couldn’t do it with a patch! Remember 1 and 2? That was how it should be done. A graphic icon of what the item was and a full detailed description of the item. Not the bull**** that it is now. Just text? ***! EPIC FAIL!

    Buy this if you like:
A nice, relaxing, take it at your own pace, RPG. Enjoy the Fallout world.

    Don’t buy this if:
You are looking for a fast past FPS.

Well, some times you get a crit on their head with your 10mm and it will blow there head clean off. Other times you can shoot it 5 times and not damage them. The good part is, you can see where your bullets struck and watch it rip flesh off there face. Then they run around like idiots with big chunks of flesh ripped from their face bagging for mercy. That is pretty god dam entertaining I must say. And then you hae to chace after them to finish them off... Oh good stuff, let me tell you..

IDK. Maybe 200 years of radiation soften bullets... but it is annoying. Seems like a game balance issue. But this was the same as in Fallout 1 and 2. You need full melee bursts to end some one in a single round. But come to think about it... that is an RPG thing altogether... That goes way back to the day of pen and paper. Lame in my opinion, but understandable I guess. I can look past it.

OMG! i SOOO forgot about that! That was good times. i LOVED doing that! lol. i want to play it again now...

Did you catch Gob? He use to walk around *****ing about how his skin was falling off and how he left pieces of himself every where he went... It may have been a random encounter... I cant remember. He was in one of the old fallouts. I want to say 1. And that dude making the Super Jet. I remember him too.

I personally am not old enough to have cared about the original two Fallouts. I have watched some retrospectives, and I might try them. :)
You should see LP's bomb. Yes, it has a model; it's pretty darn interesting to see your character chuck around giant bombs. xD Also, I regret to say that LP's laser does no splash damage; it just looks like it and LP has really good accuracy in the game. :(

Hi guys. Just wanted to ask couple of questions for comparision.
On my spec (while on XP64 bit, o/c card but FireGL driver) I am able to run the game smoothly on my 1680x1050 res, witn no AA and Anizo, with nearly everything set to high. Not getting really high FPS, but it doesn't go below 23 anyway :D
How does it compare to other HD2600 if anybody is using it? Or 8600M?

I just hit level 15 and I can't get into my tower anymore. The game crashes everytime I try. This game officially sucks. I was beginning to think this was one of my favorite games, but what the heck. I tried loading an earlier save and it worked for a while, but again started crashing when I leveled to 15. I also had to quick travel to level. It said level up, but then just kept me at 14 and added xp. When I quick travel somewhere the level up screen pops up.

is there some place where I can see the completion % of the game (like in GTA)?

I am just starting, so I guess I have a long way ahead, but I read that once finishing the main quest I cannot keep playing, so I want to know when I am about to get to the end...

The replay potential is enormous, anyway...

sorry to hijake the thread but i am having a problem with getting fallout to work. i have installed it, the laptop specs are enough to run the game. every time i try to load it it says "checking hardwear to detect graphics" choose either high or medium. i click play. then it just loops back round to checking hardwear chooses either high or medium etc etc round and round again. has any body else had this problem or know a solution?

Try updating the game, or using a NO CD crack.
