It's just so... 80s. It's like Running Man meets Terminator with a dash of Tron.

This looks to be one of the best Far Cry 3 Mods, especially if you are fed up of it being too easy or restricted. This mod suits me because I don't play any missions. It opens up all islands, the wingsuit, gets rid of tagging and the mini map. It does so much more so please check out the video or read more about it here at this link. I would be interested to know anyone elses opinion about it. It is best to start a new game with it and it skips the intro jumping right to the point afterward.

I played for a while and it is a real game changer, everything is more rewarding, crafting makes more sense, enemies are camouflaged so harder to spot as well as more numerous, the less information given on the map forces exploration and a sense of adventure, not seeing prompts appear every time you open a car door or loot a box adds a little to the immersion, you are able to climb higher platforms, get a little experience for harvesting plants and herbs. I think this Mod makes far Cry 3 more like far Cry 2 minus the annoying malaria. It adds a lot more so I recommend you check out the review and the youtube link.

I don't like the crafting with this mod. It takes far too long to gather indegredients, when you need x amount of pelts from 6 different plants and animals for a single upgrade, and the map no longer shows animal locations. It's just tedious. I like the other stuff, but there are better mod collections imo. Right now I'm just using the high res texture pack with a few other mods (weapon mod, no HUD or visibility prompts, etc.) with Sweetfx, and the game looks and plays a lot better than stock. Only downside is you have to play in DX9 mode, but DX11 is completely wasted in this game anyway. I'm fine without MSAA, since the SMAA in Sweetfx looks better.

Yikes! The hackers do it again. Apparently, they hacked into U-play and downloaded Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon and tons of other games (there was a bug that enabled them to trick the U-play software).

So...many people have already played (or are playing) Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon at the moment while us honest folks have to wait!

Thanks alot Ubisoft! Always thought U-play was full of s***

I wasn't sure about the crafting at first but after a play through a moment ago, I found I really liked it. It forces you to explore the island more, when you see an animal you really go after if and it matters if you lose them.

Before, there was no consequence for missing an animal, on real incentive beyond crafting so easily and no need to explore to find them. In my last playthrough, by the time I found the animals I was low on bullets due to the increase in enemy numbers around. I used my knife to kill 5 dogs as they lept at me and saved the bullets in case of ambush. I had a much better game and that feature made a difference, it wasn't tedious at all, it just added to the overall adventure. Of course, everyone will have a different opinion.

I see your point, crafting in the vanilla game is pretty much just a lame fetch quest lol. I would like a happy medium between the two... like the same crafting requirements as the vanilla game, but with no map indicators so you have to explore more to find the animals. With both, it just becomes a little tedious imo
