GRID demo anyone?

I can't play racing games, and this game is no exception. My car likes to go off track into the sand and drives in circles.

Just copy the jarama track from europe and copy it to japan. Remane yokohama_docks to yokohama_docks_original and then rename jarama to yokohama_docks.

 

Somebody gave this tip a few pages ago. Does the silvia reach a higher top speed than the bmw?

 

Everything low; I changed it in the *.ini file. Resolution is 640x480..

 

I just play the demo today and it is not bad. I am probably gonna get this game when it comes out. I thought it was gonna look horrible on my system, but it looks really nice and it runs really smooth too! Code master knows how to optimize...

O and whoever said its easy drifting with a 360 try turning your driving assist off and use a ps2 controller like I do and drift...

I run the game @ 1024x640 at high settings.

 

Nevermind... GTR2 is way better anyway.

I'm not. 1) Grid is too easy, even with all driving aids disabled 2) I can only play Grid @ 640x480.

 

That's because Codemasters have lately been messing up the driving schematics for racers. Have you played Dirt??? One little touch to the left or right and the car nearly spins out of control. People had to put up guides on how to customize the driving preferences just so that the game would be playable.

 

Im sorry to post on a dead topic but I'm having problems with this game and my G1S and I have no idea how to fix it.. I was wondering if you guys could help.

I tried using the xbox controller and I'm having a 1 sec delay each time I move the car. i thought it was the gamepad so I used the notebook keyboard and I got the same delay. Its unplayable because it takes forever for the car to turn.

Does anyone know how to fix these delay problems?

Im using nvidia 174.74.

It`s not a dead topic lol.
You`re the first one with this issue.
What you can do is adjust the input settings under advanced to the figures as follows:
50% , 75% , 8 and leave the rest as default.

 

Reducing the deadzone should help me with that, but didnt. There's something more going on.
Would the nvidia driver cause response delay in games? I can't think of anything else.
If it was just the gamepad I'd change it, but the notepad keyboard has the same delay... and Im running the game at high with good fps. There's no reason for that.

Someone help pleaaaaasseee I wanna play GRID =(

 

It might be. Trying a different driver never hurts.
Do you know the procedure?
-download and install Driver Sweeper, download driver from laptopvideo2go.com and extract, and download the modded inf and overwrite it in the extracted folder
-Uninstall previos video driver
-reboot in safe mode(F8 pressed repeatedly after the boot screen
-use driver sweeper to remove the Nvidia display driver leftover
-install new driver
-reboot, enjoy.

The usual : uninstall/reinstall.
Make sure you update your DirectX too...

 

Im running it on vista... dx10 installed..
maybe thats something to do with it.. dunno.

im playing the grid demo now. maxed out. its only at 25 fps. probally because i have the aa at like 16 qxsssa . i bet if i turn it to regular aa 16 it will be fully playable. the graphics are better than any console racer i have seen except maybe prolouge. but i hate the turning in this game. in fact i hate the turning in all sims. i love how the game says your name all the time. this demo really surpised me. i thought it was going to be just another turd like Juiced.

 

I have a g1s (2.2, 8600gtm, 2gb ram... )
I just changed drivers 3 times, installed all windows updates, turned off useless stuff, checked all the temperatures and everything. Everythin is running smooth. TMN's response is fast, GRID's response is 1 sec slower, unplayable.
