That video was not only amazing, it was accurate ^_^

That video should be up for an Oscar.
We laughed so hard when we saw that....
My favourite line: "Don't cry, we have the console version..." -
LOL! that was brilliant
-
Would have been funnier if the same footage hadn't been used for another subject before.

textures were all good, but i only played like 10 minutes. Its good enough to play. -
whats the link?
-
-
21FPS more on a 9600M GT is pretty good to me so early.. -
im not sure.. but i went to that gta 4 site and downloaded something, so probably patched?
-
Which site and what'd you download?
Either way, the download gave you 21FPS more? -
o_o, uh.. when i installed the game, and started the R* social club thing, it told me to go there. the 2nd benchmark is the lowest resolution :/. I'd say that sucks.
-
Oh.
Lol sorry misunderstood.
They were talking about the patch available and I thought those were your benchmarks with and without the patch
Didn't notice the resolution.
Anyway, could I see some screenshots of the lowest res? -
-
i noticed it before i posted..?
-
then you would also know that a lower res produces way higher fps, but didn't see that in your reply. and that patch is not to fix performance issues....
-
Well, i just posted a benchmark with the highest reso and the lowest. i know lower resolution gives more fps.
-
you know snake520...that was directed to you in error. i apologize
it was meant for semigamer. -
atleast the patch removed the corruption for the 7900 series
-
now that you got that fresh copy...ready for some multi player action -
I wonder how will GTA IV run on my upcoming desktop rig:
[Link.]
Flamin' Hot?! -
you may want to opt out to get the gtx260x2's (aka gtx295's / 480 sp's) though.. cost less and perform better. (speculation of course)
http://en.expreview.com/2008/12/09/geforce-gtx295-with-480sp-surely-to-come-in-ces-09.html -
From what I read, the GTX 295 (also known as the 260 GX2) will be around the 650-800 dollars range at the time of purchase, so I will stick to my GTX 280's until that the prices of the 295's go lower, not like that three GTX 280's won't max every game out there though, but will get the 295's for future-proofing's sake.
-
check out the new look though.
hummm, doesn't want to show right now...
-
That looks cool and big, yet sexy, showing off the cards' power.
-
i was trying to see if it would port audio as well through the hdmi...wonder if that is 1.3 as well
-
So,can anybody run the game ok , at high details?
-
bahahahahahahahahaha
i been averaging a steady 30 to 40 frames at 1280x1024 high/veryhigh
about 40 to 60 frames high/high desktop
multiplayer i am averaging about 30 plus frames on laptop at a low res... i think it's 1024x768. can't have them gunning me down behind lagging out...lol -
Well I DONT get this game AT ALL.
Seriously fudged up. So befor I was getting FPS of around 23 which is playable no problem.
I leave the game running for like 1 hour after it loaded... Then ran the benchmark 30 FPS 0.o then in game everything is really faster and its in night time.
I swear theres some kind of environmental effect on GTA 4 which lags everyone down.
1024x600
Med/Med
20/20/100/0 -
-
Eleron i'm jumping in 30's with render Quality on high, textures on high, the other stuff are in the range of 25-30 , and shadow density on 4.
-
hey how do i remove the restriction on the graphic setting??? i cant change them to high or med please help
-
-
I just don`t get it then.
A single 8800m GTX is twice as fast as a 7950GTX, and Brainer gets better results then me..
Hm, must be ed up somewhere...cause even when OCed , no visible increases can be noted..
John, what config, driver, clocks? Nhancer, yes, no, any tweaks? -
im running everything stock. seems to crash less that way.
and the memory really needs to stay in the green even though you can up it to the brown. but then your fps seems to drop.
the quad is definitely helping out. i ran it in windows mode and all four cores we're going strong.
i stay at 1280x1024 because i want the better quality picture. you can run high/high or even very high at this res.
forget that fake benchmarking software. it's a joke. i think it's to test whether or not your settings are going to even run or last. but not the actual game performance.
just as some others have said, some times at night, you get better frames....go figure on that one!
also...what res is brainer running at?
im reinstalling 64 bit so ill give you a pic of what im running in about 15 minutes. -
Check this out. I`ma kill R*...

I think due to your processor you're looking at medium(ish) settings at that res eleron. This game eats everything a 3.0ghz quad can throw at it. Although i havn't been keeping up with this game all that much so i could be way off.
Any gpu\cpu downnclocking? -
Yep, but i am still thinking what was Rockstar thinking when they released the game like this. I hate this game while is like this. Forget now the performance cause it makes all of us angry.
Look at the shadows, it would be better if they ware ray traced shadows drown like a line rather than being like this. It ruins all the picture all the beauty is gone.
Lets hope that they will fix all those ton of errors that they have in they're list.
