Could still be throttling. I suspect bios foul play here.

What does cpu-z show? Open up the system and verify you have the right cpu. That definitely looks like a bios problem if you do have a 920 installed.

Edit: Now that I think about it, it has to be a 920 since it let you change your multipliers. I still think it's a bios problem. See what Kobalt says about it.

    its reporting it as an 720 .... but a 920 ?

    Is it a ES?

It's possible that what ever you set it at with eleet isn't being achieved because of system power constraints. That would point back to the bios again.

    saying 920 @ 2gig

not an es (well shouldnt be brought from Kobalt)

Yes, that's what we were looking at. Your default multipliers are set like you have a 720 and not a 920. That is a problem since you cannot permanently change it.

Think i am going to try and get the non oc bios through and try that. If that sets the default to the 920 settings then it may be a rubbish bios

Oh god i hate bios flashing

Either way pinged an email to guys at Kobalt i am sure they know then i do lol

Hopefully it's a real problem with your system and not a non-fixable/wait to be fixed bug. GL!

    Tell me about it :D

Edit: Its a wait to be fixed bug, but on priority. Can still run fine on stock, but theres an issue with the release BIOS's parameters once the unlock feature is activated.
Should be fixed early next week hopefully now Clevo know about it.

CPU is right but the GPU is still below what the 4870XF can get stock. Start pushing some OC numbers out. ;)

    in re5 you can do
    1920*1080 maxed no aa
    1920*1080 maxed 8aa
1920*1080 no aa no motion blur.

I like to run overclocked cpu all the time but I don't know if you an overclock your cpu yet... If not then I will run stock cpu as well....,
then after the stock runs we can do some overclocked gpu. :)

After all Don you had a memcore lead in those crysis benches :p

Liked the link to the review. While I like Vantage and '06 for rough guidelines, because they can be optimized so much, I tend to prefer game benchmarks. Even those have issues and of course games optimized for one or the other can also skew things.

However if the 5870 CF truly comes out sizeably (10fps or more) better on actual games I could be swayed on my M17X R3 purchase. Have to see. I appreciate that whatever side you happen to land on, folks come here to "test" and "see" and let the numbers and personal experiences over the years speak more than one site or one test.

So cheers to the testing - same machine/platform, I7/Intel chipset, and varying cards is the purest testing I can think of.
