This is about Batman Arkham Knight, yes?

Yeah, I am not impressed by that feeble SLi performance yield over a single 680M or 880M, and one look at the SLi profile in the Nvidia Control Panel tells us why: a rather straight vanilla 'Alternate Frame Rendering 1'. It is as if Nvidia aren't even trying to maintain some semblance of a ruse.

No problems here with 353.30. In fact, i got a small performance boost.

    Here´s a small comparison:

Driver / Max stable Core OC / OV / Firestrike score (averaged)
    345.20 (win 8.1 driver) / +240mhz / +62.5mv / 9685
    352.84 (win 10 driver) / +230mhz / +50mv / 9707
    353.30 (win 10 driver) / +230mhz / +50mv / 9741

Played 2% of game so far (locked up Ivy). I've had a high of 50 FPS, but the average is 35 FPS. I think I can make the FPS higher if I screw around with the ini file. The game has some glitches, but I like it so far. I'm using the 353.30 drivers, so far game only crashed once. This is the first time I've played a Batman game, it reminds me of Sleeping Dogs-a lot of punching and kicking. Thank goodness for the Bat mobile.

i was getting all kinds of errors with geforce and nvidia control panel using windows 10 and the older driver. With this driver I was able to update geforce, and reanable sli, ect. before this driver i couldn't change anything without getting a error in the nvidia control panel. the culprit was the shadowplay portion of the driver. seems to be working fine now.

LoL. P14057 in 3Dmark11 with a "single" gtx780m. It would have been sensational with stock clock and even with max overclock :p.

You've probably already discovered it, but Arkham Knight is an absolute abortion... hot, steamy, deep-dish colon loaf of a game. Somebody needs to take a sledge hammer to the toes of the folks at Rocksteady that allowed this turd to be unleashed on the public. I'm sure it will be fixed soon, but letting it launch like this is a massive demonstration of incompetence and lack of regard for customer experience. It makes Ubisoft's mistakes look like minor glitches.

Edit: OK, maybe a sledge hammer to the toes is too over-the-top, but a nice long waterboarding, with ice water, would be appropriate punishment for this unacceptable breach.

@thegh0sts - Maybe that's a blessing in disguise. Perhaps between now and when you get a quota refresh on your internet account, maybe it will be patched up and actually ready for public consumption.

Everything released after 345.20 makes my 780M SLI throttle. 345.20 and earlier drivers deliver a flawless experience.

For those trying to play this new pile of crap from Rocksteady, see below for some tips that helped.

Yeah, I loved Advanced Warfare... it's still one of my favorites. I love Ghosts as well. I have had no problems with either of those games. I am an offline campaign gamer and very rarely ever do online multiplayer, so both have been excellent games for me.

Yeah, i got that, haha it was a joke, much like nVidia intended these recent drivers to be, right ? I get friggin like 10,000 in Firestrike easily(well, if I actually am chasing numbers/easily) with 1 card in my M17X-R4 from 2012 with a single card.

wait,I'm sorry, you reading this from bed ? You know you spend too much time on these forums when....your surfing while sleeping.

No, I always surf from bed. I'm on my Nexus 6 more than anything else. But I have been in bed sick... so I took a shot (or 3) of vodka and now I'm out of bed working on getting this stupid game to work... So far I'm less than amused with Arkham Knight...

I have to tell you... this game was intentionally crippled... the fact that switching to the UE3 profile and doubling performance despite it still not using my second card... Someone needs to get sued. This whole "lets make the consoles look good" garbage is really starting to make me mad...

Yep. It's like WB thinks PC gamers are stupid and will believe anything they tell us. Of course they will likely use this as a reason the next time to not even release for PC. Devs and publishers especially have just become rotten, lazy, greedy SOB's.

They want to screw up PC releases so bad we pay their exorbitant fees for the console version then they slowly patch the PC to make it look like they're doing something until the consoles crash in sales and suddenly they fix everything...

NVIDIA'$ playing dumb, while actually scheming to make people think they need to upgrade in order to play the latest games in preparation for the launch of Pascal, hence the decreased driver performance.

I got this game free with my 980ti but haven't tried it yet. I didn't think they would do this. Another Dev to keep Ubisoft and EA company on my Blacklist.
At least in EA's case it was simply greed and stupidity . The other 2 are malicious to add to that.

Well my system should match or exceed your 980 Ti with its dual 980Ms... best driver I've found for it is 350.12... but if you enable SLI at all, its going to lose a good 20FPS average... And since nVidia doesn't allow disabling SLI without a reboot (I checked - loss is still there if you do it in NVCP)......... yeah .... nvidia can go down in flames. I'm so irritated that they did this and I paid just barely over 50% the retail everyone else did. That's how bad they screwed it up... but if you look at my FRAPS... In game it wasn't so bad... until Batman got on top of a building... which is all the time... I hate to say it......... its worse....... than ...... Watch Dogs........ There I said it, now kill me!

well optimizations aside how good actually is the game itself? like watchdogs was a solid game, it had a solid story, good gameplay (if playable). so is arkham knight this bad that it's not even playable enough to tell people that game itself is somewhat decent?

what kind of stats you got on that Nexus ? You able to run Icestorm Extreme ? Or just Icestorm ?

ANYWAYS - what a great time to switch to AMD right ? They are not having any issues and their cards are faster and cheaper then nVidia's graphics cards. There,mkay... said it.

They actually have the game locked at 30fps, so doesn't matter if your pc is 10grand with quad titan x sli your going to get 30fps...

It's so bad I have zero interest in playing the game to find out if the story is any good. It looks and runs like pure garbage. It's being not optimized... it is absolutely broken... kaput.

I've fixed that part, and I have SLI working, but it looks and acts as bad so it's more or less an unplayable (at least completely undesirable to play) turd right now. In spite of having about 58 FPS average and both GPUs utilized about 90% all of the flickering, stuttering, erratic swings in FPS are insane. Even colors are off and everything looks muted. Changing the NVIDIA Crapworks settings offers no visual improvements that I can recognize, just decreased performance.

Unlocking the FPS is actually the easier part, it's the rest of the less than stellar performance that seems to be garnering considerable criticism. Also, dual GPU support is compromised at this point.

I'm having a lot of fun with it... see the Batman thread here for more in depth thoughts, as I don't want to fill this thread too off topic, but game itself has solid controls, same great fighting, gliding/grappling from roof top to roof top is seamless and feels right, and oh the Batmobile... that thing in "battlemode" is an absolute blast. If you are a fan of the Batman series or style of play, you'll really enjoy the game.

This is assuming you don't have any game breaking issues like many others. I guess I've been lucky, but I get a solid 45fps (I bumped the cap to 45) without stutters or lags. If I was one with major issues I'm sure my tone would be different of course, so I understand the outrage. My biggest issue is I must run the game in Borderless Windowed mode since Fullscreen just flashes constantly. Not the end of the world, but still a silly problem.

I'll give it a shot. In the mean time, here's a read.

    http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/d...rkham-knight-pc-lacks-console-visual-features

Are they bloody kidding us? There are actual shader and other feature effects missing from the PC that are present on the PS4. Anyway, WB have suspended sales of the game on Steam until the matter is addressed. This is what happens when Rocksteady pass on the porting job to another outfit without adequate oversight or Q&A to follow.

Brother Fox . . . That was quite a discovery. I haven't noticed as much of improvement from the re-download, but after dedicating one of the cards, I cannot argue with an average of 28 FPS versus 37 FPS. That definitely helped, and the PhysX card is at least putting out 50%-70% in dedicated mode.

What kind of results are you getting out of your 780M SLi?

Haven't had time to shift my attention back to 780M SLI again yet. Maybe later this week. When I first started trying to use the game, 780M SLI was working better than 980M SLI, LOL.

My concern is not being able to using any driver newer that 345.20 for 780M SLI without severe throttling under full load. I am using 353.30 with 980M SLI. I will not use any drivers that cause load or power limit throttling, even if they are fine at stock clocks. I will not bow my head or bend my knee to the Tech Nazis.

Yeah, 780M SLi performing better than 980M SLi? Makes total sense. Apparently, the official 'we're working on it' thread has now offered some changes in recommendation. They say that the recommended specifications will run the game at console level experience and without the Nvidia Gameworks effects. Problem is that even with Nvidia Gameworks, PC version lacks (or contains parred back versions of) some serious next generation effects that were even present in Arkham Origins. Pathetic. I think that Tech Nazi stuff you're talking about is actually becoming an industry encompassing trend.

Anyway, working with the lemons that we have at the moment, I really wish it was possible to set the game to Single GPU without having to go through the 'dedicate + reboot' procedure. If the SLi profile is set to one of the cards, why can't the other one handle the PhysX efficiently without all this fiddling?

Might be sooner than you think. Warner have suspended all PC sales of the game due to all of the problems. That's pretty much a kiss of death as far as full-price retail goes.

Ugh. I thought watching this GTA V PS4 install was annoying but just seeing his name... I need vodka. Now.

taking it with a grain of salt till someone can confirm it doesn't cause TDRs with chrome.

we need @Mr. Fox to test these drivers for performance.

Announcing GeForce Hotfix driver 353.38 link leads to a messed up web page, but if you scroll way down you will find the links to download it for Windows 7/8/10.

I'm downloading it now. Hope it fixes the 780M throttling problem I have with every driver newer than 345.20.

i'm more interested in your 3dmark11 and firestrike scores but the real world performance sounds promising.

I just saw on laptopvideo2go the hotfix was available and downloaded it. Seems the sluggish performance i was getting from Chrome on.. oddly enough only the notebook review forums, is gone.
