    First two? :p

    1280 x 800 is rather small on a 15.4" I was using 1680 x 1050 on a 15.4" for about 4 years, before switching to a 1440 x 900 on a 17", followed a few months later by a 1920 x 1200 on a 17". I enjoyed all three of these resolutions and now I'm on 1280 x 800 on a 14".

Depending on your uses, 1440 x 900 on a 15.4" could be adequate. I was actually reasonably pleased with 1440 x 900 on my 17", though that resolution sounds rather low in retrospect. I found the 1920 x 1200 to be highly detailed, but a little too small to read. While I am aware that you can always change the size of the icons or tax, it is somewhat cumbersome to have to switch whenever the website or document you are viewing changes in font size/type.

Yeah, when I get my NP8660, I'm definitely going for 1680x1050. 1920x1200 is definitely too small (it's the same resolution as my external 24" monitor!). And 1280x800 is the resolution on my 13" Macbook, and it is on the verge of being too big.

Can't wait to see were else this GPU lands, the K series is very, very nice but a little out of my price range, heres hoping these cards land in a 13" ultraportable.

How soon are you looking to get one? You may want to hold off for a bit, to see if Clevo approves the GTX 260M for the NP8660.

Don't worry. I'm waiting another 3-4 months, depending on what technology it looks like will come out.

I find 1280*800 to be wayyyy enough for a 15,4" you bunch of nit-pickers ;-)

I'm a Hong Konger myself and my take is that the high-end in general just isn't popular even in relatively wealthy HK. Because of the smaller markets than in the USA, the midrange heavy-sellers are much more noticeable. Because online sales are rare, retail types in the tiny computer malls are hesitant to stock expensive stuff. I don't think, however, Asus's upper spec G50s suffer from being Asian; their crappier screens come is more of an Asus mold. Even the Lambo doesn't have a great screen. On the opposite end, Sony has always had amazing screens but pretty medicore specs (the FW still has a bloody 3650).

Didn't they already approve it? They updated the BIOS and all. Aren't we just waiting to see if its another MOBO refresh?
