Wow, I've been waiting for a way to limit games to a steady Framerate, that's sweet, now I want to wait for Kepler..

The FPS limiter is coming in the drivers, and will be available to all cards, Fermi or Kepler.

If AMD doesn't get something like this, it might be a deal breaker. :(

All this info coming out right now or speculations... this is all based off desktop models right? Is there any thread regarding what AMD has coming up? I thought gamers liked AMD more?

    +rep yknyong, Awesome :)

LOL the GT 640M is exactly identical with the GT 650M. Same shaders, same GPU clock, same memory clock, same shader clock, same amount of memory.
Is it that the GT 650M is able to turbo boost up higher than the GT 640M one may wonder?!

I believe these boosted clocks are another way of product differentiation for NVIDIA going forward. However, what will happen to overclocking?

Oh, and I haven't received your rep yet, Cloudfire :)

Got any pics of the 650m perhaps?

That isn't bad at all, really. Would be nice to not have to waste too much juice and generate heat that you don't have to.

Interesting, it should not have the input lag issues of vsync either. The CPU and GPU are staying within their TDPs. If a notebook manufacturer fails on cooling, that is their issue.

    LOL yeah, :D
Let us pray that the turbo boost with Kepler GPUs isn`t engineered to only turbo max if it have enough thermal room like certain Intel CPUs did. I`d imagine pissed off GT650M owners with slim notebooks cursing at Nvidia :D

Come on man. You gotta be blind to not notice anything fishy with that leaked screenshot :p

can't wait till end of GDC then. 680m is the only nVidia GPU I'm concerned about.
HMM I wonder if we can downscale the performance from the recently leaked GK104 performance.
supposedly it operates at 198W, and around 140-150% GTX580 performance.
So linearly would that mean 680m at 100W would = 70% perf of gtx 580 desktop =O

It actually operates at 300 watts, to get about a 50% boost over the GTX580. I would expect a 100 watt mobile variant to improve on the 580m by 10-30% at stock settings. In other words I would say a standard GPU score of around 4800 for the 680m. Just for reference, a 580m starts around 3400, at stock voltage will easily OC to a 4000 GPU score, and overvolted will go even higher. Note the scores in the links are extreme scores, so not comparable to the numbers I gave.

I've never run it that long, but as stressing as FurMark is, 96°C doesn't seem too hot for running that long.

    Nope nothing yet.
Well there is one thing though, the die size of the GK104 will be 296 mm^2. The GTX 580 (GF110) was 520mm^2.
    GTX 580M (GF114) was 332mm^2.

This is a picture of the G92B graphic processor standing next to the GK104. :p

Yeah, especially interesting that a die that is smaller than the best notebook die can posess that power.
Well we don`t know yet how powerful it going to be, but I`m pretty shure its faster than 580M :)

    Real Ultrabooks Have GPUs NVIDIA

Epic propaganda by NVIDIA. "Clearly, the best Ultrabooks have NVIDIA GPUs."

However, we can identify the course of future direction NVIDIA will take to Ultrabooks.

So GK107-x00 refers to desktop chips.
