:-O :-O :-O
My geeky side says cool while the rest of me is disgusted. -
If it actually works, how he says it does.. I'm impressed. But were talking mega bucks there.
-
****... i saw that about 36box'in warcraft...
i heard of 2 box or even 5... but 36... that's insane... -
I'm glad i don't play wow.
-
How do you control all those accounts at once? I tried WoW just a few days ago and I got to level 4 before I quit due to the massive grinding needed to level-up.
-
Totally insane..
And yeah, I don't play wow. But for the market that it has, its pretty impressive.
I'm just too cheap to pay a monthly subscription for it. Just to see how it looks, might try the free trial some time, but its just not my cupa tea.
Give me guns, bullets and ammo.. thats all I need lol.. (yeah, I know.. cowboy right?)
Also, how funny is that South Park Episode. Make love, Not Warcraft.. Cartmans bathroom scene was classic. =) -
-
-
There's not that much grinding in WoW... just quest. I still play AoC, because when I need to grind, grinding is actually enjoyable.
-
On the bright side, he must be pro at multitasking, because even with all those add-ons, I doubt I could successfully run more than 2 computers on a team game lol
-
ArmageddonAsh Mangekyo Sharingan
that is really sad $5000 a year jsut on WOW, he really needs to get a life.
-
I've played DIablo 2 on two computer mostly because muling alone can be a gamble, and getting rushed is easier.
-
-
Well, he can do whatever he pleases. Seems he feels no shame at doing what he does so good for him. Although...I do wonder how his yearly budget looks like with 5000$/year put into WoW subscriptions. Let's not even begin to talk about the price of all those computers
-
Wow, that guy is such a loser...
-
the only RTS that i have ever "pro"ed on -
I love AoC. Took a gamble and re-subscribed, and I'm having a blast.
Though, I will say it's not an RTS. It's an RPG. -
10 char -
I thought u were talking about
Age of empire II Conquest
AOC is the most common name of it in Hong Kong -
WoW! And I thought I was weird for having a home virtual coc.kpit with projector screen.
-
There has been an argument in the WoW community regarding people who multibox and how most think what they do is cheating, but Blizzard fully supports them.
$5000+ a year from a single customer probably has nothing to do with that stance. -
there's a program called keyclone in which it allows you to transmit the keypress on one application to others... hence, if a PC is capable enough, just run couple of instances of WoW with keyclone...
between PC's i think it's a matter of KVM switches or something...
i've tried 2boxing... not my thing...
hence, multitasking... er... not...
36 characters all need to shoot 1x at a single mob... which is basically, target and click... then it's toast...
moving that many characters... that's something that takes a bit of skill imo. -
i must admit, that guy has one heck of a nice computer setup... maybe someday i can be liek the bradster
and honestly, i dont know why people are so quick to call him a loser. It really shouldnt matter to you if he wants to do that with his life. I can think of many other things that are worse than this that doesnt give a person "loser" status and cost a lot more that people get obsessed over. -
This is also the most unhealthy hobby in the world. It is better to watch TV all day, at least than u learn something which not takes place in a virtual fantasy world full of pre-teens. So no matter how u look at it, this brad guy ends up like a complete looser in real life. -
woow awesome setup. sad to see it wasted on WoW lol.
what does that guy do for a living? haha megabucks on a mega setup -
Meh,, I firstly, I cant see why anyone calls him a loser, if you can afford doing something that you enjoy, then why should other opinions matter?
If he does it purely to show off, and make himself look like he's cool for having such a setup, then yea, that guy is a loser.
The only thing I see out of that setup is a stupid consumer, why so many low end computers? If they were all Sagers, I'm sure not only would that guy have saved alot of money, but the comps would be 10x faster for this.
But again, if he's merely enjoying it, why call him a loser? It's sad in this world these days, I bet if that guy had a wife, 10 kids, was a drunk, and hated his life, he wouldnt be called a loser anywhere near as much as this guy.
I hate WoW, and all MMORPGs, but I wouldn't insult him just because he can offord such a rediculous setup, and plays wow too much. -
Imagine how many women he could take out with $5711.
5711 of them! And they will be able to get food as well!
Waste of money, tsk tsk. -
Bradster has a wife.
-
Definitely proves that some people have more time and money than they can handle.
And here I was thinking this was going to be thread about South Park...
Why are some people surprised they endorse this behavior? You know, profit-making company, loves the big bucks, anything to extend that. -
... Wow, this is creepy.

Yearly subscriptions for 36 accounts - $5,711
Cost of hardware to run those 36 accounts - $20,000
Cost of electricity to run the air-conditioning which cools the hardware which runs those 36 accounts - $100,000
Pwning an Alliance raid group all by your lonesome - Priceless! -
It doesn't matter who has a wife or who doesn't. Truth is, with 36 accounts of WoW, you're d*mn sure not spending enough time with her and instead breeding your little paladins for world domination.
Note: Your wife is probably doing some breeding on the side as well. Poor you. -
those setups would be pretty cool, just the whole WOW thing is overboard.i can see someone have 2-3 accounts, but 36 is just sad. i don't get whats so fun about the game anyways.
-
lol, it's so funny to read your comments, guys)))
-
um... dude $1 per woman? duuuuuude... what kind of woman are you going out with that's so cheap? LMAO!
just kidding... ha ha ha
heck... i'm a WoW player... i enjoy the game... but i have to say, i enjoy the community even more...
well, recently, some of my friends don't quite show due to RL reasons... hence game got tad dull...
and the recent GM changes kinda made the game more dull... but i still log in here and there...
been addicted previously, played it religiously and raided... but now it's more on a casual side of things.
all's good... as long as you know how to balance... right?
well, about the dude with the 36 box... hmm... for some reason, balance does NOT come to mind... -
im speechless, omg such an obsession~~~
-
-
Oh it's not the women that are cheap! Haha!
-
"Gaze upon the 47 PC setup that allows two gamers to simultaneously control 23 independent accounts each."
THEY ARE WASTING A COMPUTER!!!!
what are they thinking -
You'd think they'd give a discount on the game price after 20 or so purchases per customer.
I'm curious though what he does for a living in order to pay for all that and find the time to play. -
-
I would like to see a shot of the wires behind the desk...
It seems as though his talents are wasted to be able to put this together and multi task like that?
And for the couple controlling 23 accounts each? That would suck if they broke up. -
You know you have no importance in this world when...

Give it a break. -
One day, the fly-fishers of the world will do great things, I assure you...
A minimum of $400 a machine x 47 + games (about $470) comes to just under $20000. Then you have the montrosity of an electricity bill and the monthly fees to pay too. Comes easy for someone (or some couple) earning $80k+ a year, surely, but most people in those catagories just don't have the time to build up a unit of 47 characters to go on raids.
I betting on they've been lucky with help on the income recently in some way or another. -
-
That said, I do agree that I don't think he's necessarily a loser. Upon seeing this, I was first curious about how he paid for it. What job does he have that allows him to have that much disposable income and time to allow him to do this. Anyone else thought of WOW gold farmer? The second thing was, why that many laptops? He's got at least 6 laptops running out of the 11 systems he's using. (He mentions the figure of 11 computers in the article.) The only thing I can imagine is he wants to game on the go as well, but with 6 laptops, that's not exactly portable and setting up sounds far more complicated than I would like.
AND REMEMBER, in this case, it's LOSER, not LOOSER. Note, this isn't directed at unknown555525 in particular, as he/she used it correctly.
He must have no life.. Make love, not Warcraft. = P
