im a level 10 guardian right now but im wondering how to use the modifiers like the relics...

 

Just drag and drop them onto an item that can accept them to gain the bonus. This obviously makes weapons / equipment with more slots the more desirable of a choice if you have a couple of the same item with different number of slots. Remember to take them out again with one of the machines (forget the name) at a station before you get rid of the item if you want to save the modifier.

is this game that much worth it? Also is there an online fee?

 

Yes. No. If you're into diablo 2 type games you will enjoy this. There is an optional online fee which gives a couple added features for 10 bucks a month.

 

Personally if I had it to do over again I'd give the game a couple of months to get patched up before I bought it and subscribed. There are still lots of bugs.

I consider it still in "beta", but its fun regardless of some of the persisting bugs, I trust these will be addressed ... did the founder option thing, yea I guess I like it that much.

 

It's definitely in beta. I don't mind a few bugs, but I wish so many of these weren't game-breaking.

Good news for Hellgate London non-subscribers! With patch 0.5 you will now have 24 multiplayer character slots instead of 3.

As of writing this they have not patched the primary servers yet, but you can update to and use patch 0.5 by logging into the Hellgate London Test server which will currently have all your characters and items.

I've had a horrendous scheduling for work + school, I pretty much have 1-2 hours in between for rest and a few hours of sleep per day. I haven't touched HGL for the past few weeks, argh

I have not played in about a week myself, been playing mario galaxy and super paper mario on my wii with my free time, also got back into phantasy star universe some (because its the same kind of game as HGL but more polished with that JP touch witch i like)

 

Been playing mostly SP lately. Seems like I can't stay connected for more than 1/2 hour before I get a network error.

 

I wanted to play the game.....but it didnt score good with the critics.
It is really worth buying?

 

It depends on the person, if your into this genre of game and do not currently have a favorite game that occupies your time its a good investment. I got it to kill time at work because I had alot of free time, and all the time you put into the game your rewarded for (instead of just beating a game and being done with it, you lvl up, find items ect)

However the game feels like its in a beta stage still, with performance issues, and a "lack" of content. I think it has potential and will only get better with time. I dont regret buying the game, just the first time thru the game was worth my 50$ and I think it can be had cheaper now.

 

My friends and I stopped playing for now, it's way too buggy and the other modes are way too bland.


Went back to WoW for the time being The bonus EXP increase is pretty nice, friend went from 1-40 in less then a week with only 2-5 hours per day.

Back when I bought it I also got a dye kit (which you can apparently still get by clicking on a few links on a German website related to Hellgate London).
