Due to the suggested design limits of the 5.5*2.5 connector its unlikely.

Its likley to use the 7.4mm connector that asus uses.

so.... in comparison with the desktop cards, the 780m it's between the 7870 and the 7950, right?

and compared to nvidia, it's like a 660ti more or less?

Physically, the 780m is an underclocked gtx680/770.

Performance wise, it should be somewhere around gtx670/hd7950 levels, I think.

Can I ask....Where does this come from? Is this stock vs stock? Stock cpu vs stock cpu? Over clocked mobile vs stock desktop gpu?

The 780m will likely fall under a bit from the 670 due to lower memory frequency and core frequency.

How much does the MSI GT70 2OD Dragon Edition 2 costs in your country where you live, guys?
That notebook is too damn expensive in our country and it is the most expensive notebook available and then even 16GB RAM less!
The other retailer sells it for €3,999 and the other €4,034! I really can not believe this! It must have been a typo or a mistake or something
but they should know better no one will be buying a notebook for more than 4000 euros for the quarter the power of a real desktop.

That's likely the dragon 2 extreme with the 4930MX. Costs about the same in the UK.

Really? What is the difference between Dragon Edition and Dragon Edition 2?
Only the CPU and 16GB RAM?
Does the UK version also has 16GB RAM. Good to know that UK has the same price.
4000 euros is seriously even beyond overkill.

You get the Dragon Edition 2 with a 4700MQ as well as 4930MX. There are different SKUs of it.
The one with 4930MX is called "Extreme Dragon Edition 2" if I remember correctly.

Difference between Dragon Edition 1 and 2 is that #2 have new and improved cooling "Cooler Boost 2" and Super Raid 2 with the option to raid 3 msata SSDs.

Yes, I just have been searching the internet for 20 minutes and it's indeed the CPU difference.
That CPU must be a beast! The good thing is, I have the money to buy the Extreme Edition 2 but the bad thing is,
I'm very worried about the heat. It is a serious concern and you won't be buying a new notebook for 4000 euros in a year or two.
I like notebooks, they are so easy to use.

4000 euros easily gets you an Alienware M18 with SLi 780M, if you don't mind the size.. :D

Yea I'll totally go for the SSD in place of dual 780M since I would never buy SSD's aftermarket even if they're dirt cheap

Playing games on a laptop must have a huge display so I never mind the size, not even the weight :D

In which case you can drop to a lower gt series machine with less ssds and a mech hdd.
