Not really memorable the game itself is so buggy that it feels more like a Pre-Alpha than a game.

*referring to Crysis and Crysis Warhead.

I suggest you play hl2 and bioshock. If you thought crysis was good these should blow you away. :)

Crysis is Graphically the best.. ok, But Bioshock and HL2 MURDER it in gameplay. and they still look great aswell.

I would say that all games published today have good graphics, some better some worse but in general at the same level. And this graphic rat-race is going to nowhere. Most important thing is gameplay and fun-factor. No matter how good engine and graphics you have i f the gameplay is bad, your game is bad.
Crysis is an example of such bad game. Nice visual effects but it's short and you 'finish' the game in the middle of the story. H-L 2 is very nice, Far Cry also. Long and entertaining. That what the game should be. I would say that Far Cry or H-L 2 graphic level is enough to have fun. Game developers should concentrate more on the gameplay and AI features than graphics itself. I hope Far Cry 2 will have similar 'fun' value as original Far Cry. Can't wait to see it. :D
Oh, and I hope that EULA will be normal, not like Crysis: Warhead with its DRM sh.t...

I agree 100%. I haven't played HL2 or past the first 5 minutes of Bioshock, but I've played quite a few fps including F.E.A.R., Halo, COD4, BF2 and UT3. It's true that the storyline in Crysis was quite abbreviated, but it's not like COD4's story took much longer to play through, and that game got top ratings. As for the bugs, there are patches that fix the majority of them.

eh i forgot to say this.. Stalker Clear Sky is an awesome combo of Graphics AND Gameplay. there are some bugs alright.. but most of them got patched.

I`ve finally decided to give Bioshock a change, been playing it for the last 3 hours, and the story is indeed awesome. And the corridors are scary, the effects are unbelieveble and the gameplay is indeed top notch...wow :)

From the looks of it, FC2 will keep me happy just as well...

I did, those are some great games but nothing blew me away like crysis. The Tank scene was simply amazing, with the rock falling down in the background. Crysis is a really fun game. Its not the best FPS ever but definitely deserves a place on the top.

    True.
    Too bad it's demanding.
As a fps though, it's nice and brings a lot of new elements. open space, physics improved, the super suit...

CoD4 got most of it's points for the multiplayer aspect. The single player didn't change much from CoD1. Please play HL2 and Bioshock. From the sound of it you turned Bioshock off right after the descent into rapture, you didn't get to use your first plasmid yet. :) Trust me the single player in Hl2 and Bioshock is better than most of the games you listed. The only comparable game in terms of awesome singleplayer might be FEAR.

I actually havent seen better water effects than bioshock. Bioshock water > crysis water.

Yeah I pretty much quit after I arrived in Rapture because 1) I was running Bioshock on a 1.6ghz core duo and a Go 7600 = kinda laggy 2) The little creepy dudes scared the sh*t out of me. Yes I am a ***** when it comes to games (F.E.A.R.), especially when I'm playing alone.

    Dude, I gotta say.
I have no idea WHY I haven`t played Bioshock before...but I love every bit of it..
The story is fantastic and the sensations, curtoasy of a 5.1 gaming headset are unbelieveble..
I really hope Far Cry2 can impress me like this also...

Haha, reminds me of AVP2 ...same feeling. Closed corridors, spooky screaming..
That`s why I am so looking forward to Dead Space...
Loved FEAR, Doom3, Quake 4..and most of the horror fps genre :)

It looks good but warhead is currently my top online shooter so FC 2 will have to be REALLY good to pass crysis for me.

The few videos coming out in the past couple of days have been nothing short of amazing!

I saw one video for the map editor and it is certainly the best and simplest map editor I have ever seen! It's going to be great for Xbox 360 and PC users!...

what's the deal with the DRM security thing? What exactly is it and what does it mean for us gamers? I hear a lot of people complaining about it.

Straight from a Ubisoft community manager:

    Source

We'll see, Crysis was a very linear shooter and everything pretty much had to be done the same way. Far Cry 2 promises a much more open world where you can do things your way.

Also, the Far Cry 2 multiplayer looks a lot more polished compared to Crysis which is incredibly buggy, plus FC2 includes an amazing, yet simple to use map creator/editor unlike Crysis.

the modding community for this is going to be incredible, i can garuntee. not just for map edits, but for meshes, textures, maybe even single player weapons and vehicles.

So I thought I ll get my hands on far cry 2 today but apparently that was the ship date. So how fun is that!? why cant they just post a date when I can buy instead of telling me that they do have it in store but they cant sell it yet. thats bunch of bs.

in warhead you will have to do the missions for sure, its not a kind of a game that has factions and stuff like Stalker Clear sky or Farcry 2, its an open world, but not with much stuff to do

I seriously hope Farcry 2 will be much better.
