Just finished ME2 2nd time as an Adept . Hit 30 in the middle of last mission . Every1 survived ! The cinematics in this game are amazing . I wish they`d bring back Wrex for the 3rd one , he was awesome . One of the bestest of the best single player games ever . ME1 is a must play for everyone who enjoyed ME2 , or if you want to enjoy ME2 to its fullest .

Surprisingly addictive game. Story is not original though.
The plot is straight out of Alastair Reynold's books, almost unchanged.

Have a look at the other races in the Revelation Space universe, they're quite absurd:

I have finished the game but I have serious misgivings about leaving the collector's base with Cerberus and they didn't explain what was so interesting about humans that the reapers wanted to create one of them from our DNA...

from what I gather, the reapers indoctrinate the 'best' race during that time. In the case of the protheans, they were the superior race so they were captured and indoctrinated and used by the reapers to create a prothean reaper. Then when our time period came, the turians were the superior race hence that's why they used saren as the leader in ME1. However shephard took saren down and the reapers decided humans were the superior race. Thus they started to make a human reaper.

I bet TIM (The Illusive Man) has big plans with tha station......
Plans other besides those that he mentioned, when he spoke to you before the final decision.... -
I left it intact . Figured if TIM will use it for anything other than helping humanity i`d hunt him down ! Perhaps TIM is a reaper himself though ... :O ?
Also , is it possible for Shepard to die on the last mission ? I heard rumors that in ME3 there might not be Shepard , if you died on the last mission . Im all confused ... -
and Thane (assasin - yes I know it is ironic ). So TIM is at the very end of the line....
Ah and ofcourse - Joker: ) -
Death by snu snu is the only way you can have a scripted death, and you still get a game over screen for that. -
you can die in endgame, if you do, then you can only take a canon char in me3 instead of importing an me2 char. -
-
besides, it's pretty hard to get that ending. -
Well might as well add my name to the list, finished it yesterday. Found it far to easy on normal but don't want to start it again till ive finished the new AVP lol.
Was quite disappointed with the last boss, 1 cain round, 1 pistol round and 2 widow rounds does not a boss make lol. -

you can change the difficulty level anytime during the game if you wanted.
-
Heh, I somehow ended up fighting the final boss with nothing but my pistol and smg, and a rank 1 incinerate, both my teammates didnt have anything useful vs. armor and none of my other powers (engineer) were either.
-
Also . After you finished ME2 , if you start a new game there`s an option to import your ME2 character . How does that work . It just starts a new game from scratch ( all weapons+upgrades disappear ) or do you keep your stuff . Cause it just seems like there`s nothing else to do in the Galaxy , once the final boss is beaten . -
I don't even belive I ever got hit once by the final boss....
My health bar was always on max lol -

Hey I was wondering is there a way where you can play Mass Effect 2 without the disc inside your cd drive?
-
Same here. But the story and what the final boss was and what it represented still made it a great fight.
I consider ME2 not quite a game I usually play. It was more like participatory cinematic experience. Despite it's lack in combat, I enjoyed the game everything except the planet scanning for resources immensely.
There were definitely a lot unanswered and more questions, but I trust Bioware knew that and are using that to fuel the urge to buy ME3 and answer it there. Also hoping Bioware will limit this to a trilogy.
Because of that, I may try other Bioware games, looking at Dragon Age as a possibility.

Never completed ME1, but LOVING ME2 so far. So awesome, although playing on 360, very good experience. Luckily I bought ME1 on PC awhile back for $5 via steam, so I think I'll be going through that after ME2. Heard it's less consolized than ME2 is.

I definitely recommend you finish ME1 and import that saved character into ME2.
It mostly serves to complete the overall experience and supplement the story in ME2 ... though ME3 story will likely be affected in great detail by the previous decisions.
Plus you get bonuses for importing previous characters. -
meh I don't have ME1 for xbox anymore. Just on PC. I got ME2 on xbox cuz I'm PC-less right now lol. So yeah...wish I could import my character but unfortunately I can't =( Thanks for lookin' out though. Who knows maybe after I beat it on xbox I'll sell it and down the road get it on PC again and beat it again.
-
Very good job by Bioware. I'm stoked for ME3. -
man, if I hadn't already invested like 18hours into ME2, you guys make me want to go back and play ME1 and just get ME2 on PC too lol. Oh well!
-
I have a question. I have an ME1 save which i used to import to start a new ME2 game. I beat the whole game but some characters died so i imported the ME2 save into a new game.
My question is do my ME1 options get carried into my second ME2 save? -

Just started playing today. I hope its no problem to play ME2 without playing ME1..
BTW, is Seth Green doing the Joker voice? I doubt it but it sounded to me very similar.. -

this site as ME1 saves if you want to import one. You get money, resource bonuses, and some ME1 decisions do carry over.
Here's the site.

Right, but actually knowing what happened throughout the game is nice because ME2 has A LOT of references to ME1 throughout the game. It's not just limited to the "big decisions".
