Just finished ME2 2nd time as an Adept . Hit 30 in the middle of last mission . Every1 survived ! The cinematics in this game are amazing . I wish they`d bring back Wrex for the 3rd one , he was awesome . One of the bestest of the best single player games ever . ME1 is a must play for everyone who enjoyed ME2 , or if you want to enjoy ME2 to its fullest .

Somewhat similar, but is it plagiarism? I personally don't think so. The only similiarity is that of a sentient machine-like race that exterminates others. That's about it.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Revelation_Space_universe

Have a look at the other races in the Revelation Space universe, they're quite absurd:

I have finished the game but I have serious misgivings about leaving the collector's base with Cerberus and they didn't explain what was so interesting about humans that the reapers wanted to create one of them from our DNA...

    Warning SPOILERS
    Text in white

from what I gather, the reapers indoctrinate the 'best' race during that time. In the case of the protheans, they were the superior race so they were captured and indoctrinated and used by the reapers to create a prothean reaper. Then when our time period came, the turians were the superior race hence that's why they used saren as the leader in ME1. However shephard took saren down and the reapers decided humans were the superior race. Thus they started to make a human reaper.

Well I hope we find out how that mysterious specie managed to punch a hole in a reaper that made the Citadel fleet look like a joke with only one round.

I actually just beat the game for my first time and every single crew member survived as well. Spoiler: I was also really was hoping I could have gotten Wrex back... or even Kaiden, all he pretty much did was appear for a sec and say screw you, and leave... haha

Plans other besides those that he mentioned, when he spoke to you before the final decision....

I left it intact . Figured if TIM will use it for anything other than helping humanity i`d hunt him down ! Perhaps TIM is a reaper himself though ... :O ?
Also , is it possible for Shepard to die on the last mission ? I heard rumors that in ME3 there might not be Shepard , if you died on the last mission . Im all confused ...

The only people I trust with my life in Mass Effect 2 are Garrus, Tali<3 :) and Thane (assasin - yes I know it is ironic ). So TIM is at the very end of the line....

Ah and ofcourse - Joker: )

    Rumors are often not true.

Death by snu snu is the only way you can have a scripted death, and you still get a game over screen for that.

only bioware stated that themselve's. not a rumour.
you can die in endgame, if you do, then you can only take a canon char in me3 instead of importing an me2 char.

I have a digessiong here...what is the point of having a "Shepard die's at the end" ending in ME2, if you cannot import such save to have all choices made in ME2 make impact on in ME3?....after all Bioware made ME series intended experience dependant on savegame import....so Bioware making it impossible for us to import a dead Shepard savegame from ME2 contradicts itself a bit....

it's a suicide mission, so a bad ending exist.
besides, it's pretty hard to get that ending.

Well might as well add my name to the list, finished it yesterday. Found it far to easy on normal but don't want to start it again till ive finished the new AVP lol.

Was quite disappointed with the last boss, 1 cain round, 1 pistol round and 2 widow rounds does not a boss make lol.

I thought the last boss was a little too predictable, but at least he was harder to beat on Veteran.

Heh, I somehow ended up fighting the final boss with nothing but my pistol and smg, and a rank 1 incinerate, both my teammates didnt have anything useful vs. armor and none of my other powers (engineer) were either.

I believe it sucked ? What was the difficulty level and were you able to kill it ?

Also . After you finished ME2 , if you start a new game there`s an option to import your ME2 character . How does that work . It just starts a new game from scratch ( all weapons+upgrades disappear ) or do you keep your stuff . Cause it just seems like there`s nothing else to do in the Galaxy , once the final boss is beaten .

you keep your level, and you start out with bonus in resources and money. Paragon/renegade you lose and you maybe keep your weapons.

Same here. But the story and what the final boss was and what it represented still made it a great fight.

I consider ME2 not quite a game I usually play. It was more like participatory cinematic experience. Despite it's lack in combat, I enjoyed the game everything except the planet scanning for resources immensely.

There were definitely a lot unanswered and more questions, but I trust Bioware knew that and are using that to fuel the urge to buy ME3 and answer it there. Also hoping Bioware will limit this to a trilogy.

Because of that, I may try other Bioware games, looking at Dragon Age as a possibility.

Never completed ME1, but LOVING ME2 so far. So awesome, although playing on 360, very good experience. Luckily I bought ME1 on PC awhile back for $5 via steam, so I think I'll be going through that after ME2. Heard it's less consolized than ME2 is.

you should actually play ME1 first for your xbox cause some decisions will transfer over to ME2 and eventually ME3. Supposedly these decisions will seriously affect the storyline in ME3.

I definitely recommend you finish ME1 and import that saved character into ME2.
It mostly serves to complete the overall experience and supplement the story in ME2 ... though ME3 story will likely be affected in great detail by the previous decisions.
Plus you get bonuses for importing previous characters.

meh I don't have ME1 for xbox anymore. Just on PC. I got ME2 on xbox cuz I'm PC-less right now lol. So yeah...wish I could import my character but unfortunately I can't =( Thanks for lookin' out though. Who knows maybe after I beat it on xbox I'll sell it and down the road get it on PC again and beat it again.

I love ME2. I imported an ME1 character, and was very pleased with how smoothly they to into consideration choices made in the first game, even the little ones during side quests.

Very good job by Bioware. I'm stoked for ME3.

I have a question. I have an ME1 save which i used to import to start a new ME2 game. I beat the whole game but some characters died so i imported the ME2 save into a new game.

My question is do my ME1 options get carried into my second ME2 save?

BTW, is Seth Green doing the Joker voice? I doubt it but it sounded to me very similar..

It's not a problem per se, but you'll get a lot more out of ME2 if you play ME1 first.

Yup, Seth Green does the voice for Joker.

this site as ME1 saves if you want to import one. You get money, resource bonuses, and some ME1 decisions do carry over.

Right, but actually knowing what happened throughout the game is nice because ME2 has A LOT of references to ME1 throughout the game. It's not just limited to the "big decisions".
