Sigh reading this makes me sad... very sad..

A Mass Effect 3 PSA: Multiplayer Affects The Ending | Rock, Paper, Shotgun

Not really a spoiler but didn't want to offend anyone who might think it is..
apparently if you dont play MP while going through your SP campaign, you'll be seeing a dark dark ending to the game(I dont know what it is but its supposed to be dark). If you want to see a somewhat reasonable ending then play MP while going through SP.
Just thought people here should know..

People here should also know how reliable PCGamer usually is, and see the n-number of comments on the rps article (which itself is "omg you guys PCG said this!!!"), confirming that you can easily get the best ending if you do little things called "singleplayer side missions". But ofc being reasonable won't give the journalists their rage-driven ad revenue.

Bottom line - PCG is full of crap, you do NOT have to play a single second of multiplayer to get the best ending. But if you do not play any SIDEQUESTS, then you obviously won't get the best ending (thing of ME2's loyalty missions, they were required and skippable, weren't they?).

Well they've mentioned that in the article its self. Only these missions are much duller than the loyalty missions. These side missions are the equivalent of ME2's planet scanning.

Here's a description of these side missions. (from the PCG article)
and most comments on the rps page are dedicated to the ending of se7en.. :p

It has been confirmed from BioWare that you do not need the MP to get the best ending. The MP and the Galaxy at War iOS game helps to get more War Score, but if you are willing to get the side quests, then you can still get the max War Score you need. With that said, I have played ME 1 and ME 2 side quests and I agree the ones in ME 2 are way better. However at the same time, if the ME 3 quests does end up like ME 1's, I don't really complain either since well I didn't think they were too bad.

I can link the source post from Social BioWare if you need the proof.

Thanks from here too! :D + Rep to the OP of that link.

Also, I might ask the mods to make an ME 3 official forums since this one was for the Demo...
