3 movies would be good in that case (1 for each game).
But it would have to be done right...
Aside from that, I'm content leaving ME as the computer game where it can fleshed out properly.

I think they should've made movies instead of games. Imagine that, Bioware moves to movies biz :D.

Wow, that fight trailer is pretty serious.

REALLY looking forward to this game. I hardly play games anymore, ME3 has been the only one on my horizon for a while.

You guys want a quick movie then check this out! You can choose Paragon or Renegade choices just like the series, the Renegade choices are quite compelling. Legendary films are working on the film be cool to make all three and then do a prequel just about humanity before and during the First Contact War and have some of the voice overs play in the film like Mark Meer as Commander Shepard, maybe Mark Vanderloo as him if you want to really have him look like but he's just a model though might be hollow acting, have Andirmal Anderson as of course David Keith voiced by the same man. If the films do that good maybe go back and make them as female shepard! lol

I like Mass Effect a lot playing as Female Shepard again, been reading a lot of spoilers and i want too do different things so changing it up first time playing as ruthless and earthborn and going to be a total renegade, and i really feel that ME1 is such a great game it's really fantastic this is my third play through in the last two months lol. It was hard the first time playing it i felt it was so boring but i decided to really get into the game and i did, enjoyed it, character development, and areas felt more real, love scenes and they actually feel like they love you unlike the second one feels hollow and the love scenes also not that great, weapon system terrible in the first it's alright playing as a soldier now more interesting, the second one has such a great combat system, and great weapons. Firepower pack rocks! Bioware actually regets doing the suicide mission i now am so so about it. But yeah compel and force yourself a bit to play the first one it will give you a way better background for the third one.

    Minor spoiler re: ME2:

If you have a relationship with Liara in ME1, you can continue it during the Lair of the Shadow Broker DLC in ME2. By far the most believable and three-dimensional romance of the ME2 romance options (though not very explicit for people who prefer that).

I'd suggest playing (and beating) the first two titles to really maximize the experience of the series. Jumping into ME3 without even touching ME2 is kind of "heresy" for the fans of this series. This is due to how ME uses character saves in succession of every game to expand and determine unique game and end-game experience that occurred due to decisions you made for your character in each game as opposed to a predetermined pathways from a new start of every new sequel like in other RPG's.

I guess you can get a DLC that you can play and in about 15-20 minutes answer the critical questions that can carry over into ME2. I started ME2 before I found out about it and don't feel like starting over.

To be honest, I didn't like ME1 that much, I got annoyed by the constant loading scenes, elevators, confusing maps, etc. I never finished it. I'm enjoying ME2 quite a bit right now, but kinda wish I had not chosen Engineer, considering the number of "organic" enemies, although my squad-mates have decent abilities to thwart that. Besides I'd rather be the one fighting the big mechs, etc. :D

Yes your right i did forget to talk about Liara, i am getting to that point now and it really does feel that way, the rest feel horrible but if you cheat on her you can get some interesting outcomes for the third lol.

I mostly play soldier or a mix of tech and combat abilities infiltrator, or vanguard. For me always been about the weapons never liked the fact that i could never use a assault rifle off the start unlike in the new game. I first started off playing as an engineer also back in 2010.
Once you start playing ME3 i hope you want to go back and play the first one i know the mapping is annoying but just press M and then click on the area the thing is located at, the maps are confusing and i just use the wiki to go places and do side missions.

how where the maps in ME1 complicated? they all seemed very linear to me. the whole elevator thing was annoying though... kinda like brushing your teeth ya we know everyone does it but do you have to show it?

I've been playing the ME3 demo for 3 days now, just occasionally... kept the computer on 24 hrs just to keep playing in place. I'm stuck at the first big mech battle by the staircase. Keep getting killed.

I will play ME 1 & ME 2 first to completion or so before I buy ME3. Maybe it'll be cheap by then.

A common complaint about ME2 is that both the tech and the biotic powers are often ineffective. Engineers specialize in anti-mech and anti-geth abilities, but most of the time, you're fighting organics. And as for biotic powers, most don't work against an enemy that has any sort of shields, armor, or barrier up (warp works, but push/pull/etc don't). I think that the infiltrator, soldier, and vanguard are the three most fun classes to play in ME3. Sentinel is actually pretty fun because the shield allows you to move more and use cover less, and between warp and overload, you can attack any enemy despite protection. Adept and engineer aren't very popular for a reason.

The elevators are actually just concealed loading screens. I'd prefer to listen to my team banter in an elevator (or hear news stories over a PA system that can lead to side-quests) than watch the same two loading screens again and again and again in ME2. The elevators also help create a feeling of scale--the ME1 world for various reasons felt a lot bigger than the ME2 world, which felt like a series of narrow shooting galleries. I actually think that the elevators get a lot more hate than they deserve.

Use powers/techniques to burn through its shield, armor fast (use your squad members, and time their cooldowns). Then just shoot at him while changing cover constantly. I beat him on my first try on my Vanguard.

You have to keep moving, running cover to cover, taking shots from cover. Rinse, repeat. As you do this, watch out for enemy soldiers flanking you.

Throw grenades at it, put the cloak on, hit it in the back the back has a core that is vulnerable, and keep running around let your squad distract the Atlas and you take care of the Cerberus troops and then cloak again and kill the Atlas. Use incinerate and use your inferno ammo.

Yeah i love the elevators playing ME1 again third time in 2 months playing as a total renegade, Femshep. The elevators always gave a sense of scale and immersion of you know what you do in the universe it reflects on the galactic news great stuff. Yeah i want to play as an Adept but idk man i love my weapons i got all the DLC's now and it's just totally awesome! Yeah think this time i'm going to play as a infiltrator for my last ME2 campaign for a long time. They aren't bringing back the elevators for ME3 either.

Seems that Origin has replaced the tiresome DLC downloading off the BioWare servers. :D
The main game is around 10gb so it should be a fast download.

    Edit: And its done.
Now all i gotta do is fast travel to 7.3.12 and i can play it. xD

Downloaded it from Amazon, took 10 GB, now I try to install and it's having me download a 10 GB file from Origin. Great. What did I download before, 10 GB of dog poop?

Also, where do I insert the key for the Argus assault rifle? I got the main product key and a separate key for that, and can't figure out where to input it.

I just realized how bad ME2 on the PC is compared to ME1.

No crouch, aiming system is bad (easier on a controller imo) but at least the graphics are better.

There's more to combat than whether or not you've got a crouch button. The cover system and combat overall flowed much better in ME2 than in ME1 in my opinion. And if you didn't like ME2, don't bother with ME3...the combat system is ME2's, refined a bit more.

Well having to hold a button to go into cover is dumb (in my opinion). In ME1 you automatically go into cover. And cover = less recoil = better combat.

In ME1, I would cover when I didn't want to, and wouldn't cover when I did want to. Having a "cover" button solves both these issues. I fully support the cover button.

Most other cover-based shooters, including Gears of War (which really pioneered the genre, I think) and Deus Ex: Human Revolution have cover/uncover buttons. It works well.

To anyone wondering, on Origin's main screen, click on settings (the gear button) and there's an option to "redeem product code."

Yea people on amazon were complaining about that. A better route would have been to redeem your code on Origin and download it from there.

Since you have past that point, start the preload on origin then hit pause. Then just copy and paste all the files you downloaded on amazon to the folder where Origin is preloading ME3 and you should be good to go.

Also, ME2 combat was much better than ME1 with level design and gameplay all around.

Yeah you can download it early but you can't probably play it until release day and that stinks you download 10 gigs on Amazon and 10 more on Origin, the game is only 10 gigs and 15 gigs to Install. I make sure to have that bar filled, but looks like because of school and time i am just going to have too use my first imported Paragon FemShep the only one i completed both games except for firewalker...

Yeah, next time you buy an Origin game from Amazon, just pull the product key off Amazon and then redeem it on Origin. Don't click "download" on Origin. That would work just as well as buying direct from Origin.

I ordered mine through GameStop (inorite?).

I just installed it through there, as Origin keeps saying it needs to update but if I install the update it says it can't find D:\Origin\Origin.exe. So I just go offline, then online in Origin. So you have it downloaded and everything?

Like when it installed for me in Impulse, I had to find the folder and it made a .rar of the game so I just unzipped it and got everything in place. If you try to activate it, it goes through a release date check.

From what I understand, the people making the game didn't have enough money to make controller support. How much money it takes to do that, I don't know-but COME ON. Maybe if they spent less time with the multi-player HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH.

Besides wouldn't the DLC, that hopefully will be available for this game, would've covered the cost. :p

The DLC is absolutely important to the series and fans of this series it was wrong the way EA/BioWare handled this should of never happened! You'll see when you play the game with the DLC, Yeah i would never play this game with a 360 controller i have one with plenty of batteries only action adventure games like Batman AC i play with that, i am a pure hardcore pc gamer mouse and keyboard lol.

    My game won't start.

I do the release date checker, it does its thing, closes automatically, let it sit for 10 mins and it deletes the Win32 entries for the config.exe and ME3.exe files, and they are nowhere to be found
