When is Xbox coming out with the beta?

I didn't like the beta very much, but would like to try it on the 360, instead of just the PC.

mm ya i agree with tankjones, didnt like the beta too much in my first hour of playing. the players feel really bulky and the action isnt very fast paced or fun. it just feels like a slower version of mw 1 or 2.

 

Usually I would come with some snide remark about a game like this, but this a great find! I don't usually play war games anymore, but this looks interesting. I will tell you what I think.

So I played it for a bit. The graphics are awful unless you can fully max it. Even then I prefer the graphics of its competitors. Funny thing is its beast to run, I don't even get why... I was getting 40 fps on low and like 10 fps on high. The game play is very very sloppy and overall I would pass on the game. Feels like that god awful socom game on the PS3, worse actually. Of course if I was playing the final product maxed on a console, I probably would enjoy it, but that at this stage/performance no. However I would say its the best of the worst in terms of all CoD clones.

 

lolol...considering Call of Duty was originally a spinoff of the Medal of Honor series, you've got it backwards.

 

Played it and wow I must say this game sucks. I almost feel bad for those who had to pre-order the game to try the demo out and discover this phenomenon. In my opinion if you already own Battlefield Bad Company 2 then you'll really notice how much this game is lacking and if you're in my case and already hate Bad Company 2 then you'll really hate this game.

 

i know, well this round MoH has copied the CoD MW series. Never mind 2001/2003. Im talking now. Its almost sad too. Its like there trying reclaim there lost ground and failing miserably.

 

U guys do realize, this one is being developed by the same guys who did BC2, and that it is a beta and the retail isn't slated to be out for another three months! Take it easy with the criticism.

 

Yes, I'm aware DICE assisted in the development while the multiplayer runs under the same Frostbite 2 engine as Bad Company 2 and that's precisely my point. The game looks and plays a lot like Bad Company 2 while lacking so much in comparison. For a game containing so much recycled material from the previous Battlefield series you'd expect the developers to instead dedicate some of their resources towards the game-play, features and even the graphics, but I guess not.

 

Not a whole lot changes from a beta to release, except for some tweaks to the game, gun balancing, slight map changes, etc.

The game itself is pretty much the same. I don't think anyone here is giving criticism for things wrong in the beta (whether it be lag, choppy gameplay, etc), but the game as a whole.

It reminds me to much of a bad twin of BFBC2 that handles like a Call of Duty game. I might try it out for the campaign though, because I do love good story lines, but as for the multiplayer, I won't be playing it. That is why I own BFBC2.

 

You all do remember that the BF:BC2 beta for PC also had hefty system requirements?
Im curious on how the singleplayer part will play, and i also hope that its a little bit longer than the CoD:MW2 campaign.

 

To me, this is like BC2, but better. I don't like that in BC2 it takes a whole clip to kill someone.

 

just one question... how long is this beta and big is the download? Currently i am in india where the 512kbs broadband is crap compared to my 6Mb/s in uk... so need this info lol.

I got a key, but where you enter it, when I log in with my EA account it says unavailable.
Probably since I am not in one of the countries where its going on

Remember the days when you didn't need keys to play demos. I went to the site and they are out of keys. Seems just like a bait and switch to get you to subscribe.

 

Hmmm maybe, I got a key though I will reserve my judgement, for now, but it does feel a lot like BC2.

 

Try Magnum ammo yet?

It doesn't take me a full clip to kill someone (it may be slower to kill compared to MW2 though).

If you have good aim, you can take out at least 2-4 people with a single clip.

I use the UMP mostly, and no joke, I can sniper someone across map with that thing.

If you have trouble getting kills, try aiming for their upper chest, and the recoil of thing gun should bring it up for a head shot.

 

Out of keys.. Do i need to subscribe??? Or just wait for a key???

 

or you could be stealthy and get close then 2 shots from saiga or one shot from a spas12 and they'z a gonna

I played the BETA 2 weeks ago and i didnt like it at all. I might buy it just to play the single player campaign

The latest BC2 patch fixes that problem now i get 3 kills with one clip

Medal of Honor runs great I must say, seems even more optimized than Bad Company 2.

 

I'm probably just too used to MW2. I need to play more BC2.

 

its not a "demo" its a beta... Granted they use beta's like demo's nowadays. But the point is still valid.

You have to go to the medal of honor website, redeem your code there, and they give you ANOTHER one. Stupid, I know, but that is how you get your key.

 

Anyone got an extra key? A friend of mine also wants to try it. Thanks in advance.

 

I tried it... downloaded the game but I keep getting invalid key, even though I got one from fileplanet, then redeemed it..

 

One of the biggest things to get used to is the fact that bullets are projectiles rather than hitscans, so you have to account for slight bullet drop over range due to gravity, as well as travel time.

 

Thanks for the thread, I'm downloading now. This will be the first game I play on my laptop even though I have had it since the beginning of January, So I hope this goes will and I at least get a kill or two.

 

If anyone has a beta key left and I could beg one from you I would be most greatful! I would really like to try it on the Alienware M11x R1 to see how it compares to BFBC2 for performance.

Can beta key be reused once it's already registered?
If so I have one, uninstalled my beta after playing it for 2 hours, didn't impress me at all, everything seemed quite generic and nothing really stood out.

I got a beta key a while ago, and tried out the beta. I played it for about an hour and just uninstalled it. I didn't like the game at all.

I tried to give my key to another user on here who has been wanting one for the longest time, but he said it didn't work.

 

If anyone's got a key available to give out, I wouldn't mind having it Damn, I'm kind of mad I missed this.

 

I would also like a key, I couldn't get a key from fileplanet because of that stupid gamespy invalid code, T_T

Don't worry guys; you're not missing anything.

After playing a little more the game is starting to suck a little less, but it still sucks. Again, it feels like a recycled game (reused content from the Battlefield series), with a lot of missing features, while overall lacking any original identity of its own.

 

@CIN - Thanks so much. Installed, key worked and played for about 30 minutes last night. It plays a lot like MW2, which in my book isnt a bad thing. As with any DICE game the hit detection or weapon balance is off. Took 4 shots from a M1 in the upper chest to kill someone. Frame rate was great on the m11x with low settings enabled, 2xAA and AF. Never dropped below 30fps and spent most of the time in the upper 30s to 40s.

I like it so far. Can't wait to see other maps.

Beta Keys are now available on BestBuy.com

I just got mine, here's how to do it:

Go to Best Buy

Go to Products - Video games

Choose your Platform

Now click on the "Medal of Honor" picture near the bottom

Now you should see where it says "Free Beta test invite"



All you have to do is enter a valid E-mail, and within 5-60 minutes, you should of received a Beta Key with instructions on how to use it.
