thats right. not the imitation dollar though :p

i have to turn my settings all the way down on my g1. the go 7700 doesn't really hack it on these new games :(

weird, i got the "castrated" x1600 but iv found the demo works great, and if i put the res on 800x600 i can put all settings on full and have a steady 25-30fps.
Quite reassuring. A go7700 should be able to do that easily!

Im afraid for you days of high resolution are over then. I had that transition bout 6 months ago. You get used to it. Plus the game still looks great at 800x600. The motion blur gets rid of the aliasing alot.

I am having an issue with the game. When I start it the start up EA symbol is very very choppy and game play is choppy no matter what settings it is on.

    System is a dell 1520
8600GT with latest drivers from laptop video 2 go.
    2.2 Ghz Core 2 Duo
    2 Gigs Ram

    Any ideas??

make sure you download all of the latest drivers both for the game from EA's website and your 8600 from nvidia's website.

after that, i would try it and if not, reinstall the game with all of your new drivers installed. If that doesn't work, I would contact the game hotline to troubleshoot it.

This game is simply amazing. I can't believe how many people said the game isn't fun and that the graphics/gameplay are bad. The Iron Sights system is flawless, the graphics are great, and the guns/upgrades are just so much fun.

@snowbob230: Turn your resolution up. I played it on the same laptop with a 2.0 ghz processor and mine looked great. I put it on 1280x800 resolution.

go to the official MoH:A website and check for latest drivers... should be in a download or support section of the website

depends what type of shooters you like. WW2=MOHA. weird shooters=bioshock. game that requires beast to run=crysis.

    man with a lot of money=all 3 :p

For me, its looking like my priority list is ET:QW, Bioshock, and MOH:AA in that order. Crysis I'll probably buy when it comes out.

I don't have an 8400GS but a Go7400, the predecessor. The difference between the 2 cards is slight, although the 8400Gs is considerably stronger at synthetic benchmarks. The Go7400 cannot play Medal of Honor Airborne at even above 20fps at lowest possible settings, so I wouldn't hold out much hope for the 8400GS.

wow i didn't think the game was that demanding.

is this a pc first game then ported over to the 360 or vice versa?

not to rub it in, but for those of you wondering with desktops, i'm having no problems at all with all settings maxed out @ 1680x1050 on my 8800GTS 320mb.

    .... and yeah, it won't run on my thinkpad t23, P-III, 16mb supersavage 3d :)

yeah i thought so as well.

great graphics and gameplay on the game, although a bit tougher than i thought it was going to be.... i find myself on the brink of checkpoints and dying rigth before them resulting in restarting the mission. a bit frustrating but fun

    resolution :1280x 800
    details : high
    model detail : medium
    decay :low

what do you think ? what i mean laggy here is not smooth..... and do you think i need to turn on the vertical sync?

    thanks for the help

turn on the vertical sync if you are getting screen tearing issues. i turn it on just cuz i can :)

maybe you should try bumping the details down to medium or if you want to keep it on high, you should lower your resolution. you just have to play around but in the end it's going to be resolution vs graphical settings. you have to sacrifice one for the other.

With medium on texture @ 800*600 and simple on post processing effects...it goes to like...25 on average? 28 is the highest. Rarely does it drop to 22.

It should be able to play low on all settings just fine

I'm playin at 1280x800 (native res is 1440x900) with medium details (for all). I get 25 fps average , the game (demo¨¨) is playable but laggy.I'v tested all latest driver. The only really playable solution was to use old driver and overclock them. But the gpu went over 76 celsius so I stopped.(normal temp is 71 in MOHA).

Does anyone notice that the game lags even when the fps is reasonably good? I find that on anything under 35 it just plain doesn't feel smooth....It feels like its more at 20fps when its at 35.

the only lag i get is with explosions and the like. but then, the frame rate does drop from around 32 to about 17.

this is an excellent game. i highly suggest anybody to pick this one up. great awesome graphics, good solid gameplay, and solid multiplayer.

i haven't had any slowdowns yet... about 4 hours into the game with an 8800GTS

Sorry for a Noob question here, how to get the FPS reading?

The laggy could be due to the post processing effects? When i m trying to turn my head around( i mean in the game) the things u are seeing will have some BLur effect, maybe this could be the problem of lagging? Instead of saying lagging i think is more suitable to say " not smooth" lol

anyway a great game, the atmosphere is so realistic, will try to change the post -procesing effects to simple and see what will happen

    thanx for all the comments.

I have also downloaded the demo onto my xbox 360, and i can clearly say that the pc version looks much better if you can max it out at a high resolution.

so if you're debating which platform to get it on, PC!

personally airborne for pc is a complete flop... ea screwed up again by not having the mp ready for release.. its not very fun with only 12 players in a server... the graphics are amazing thou... i have an m1330 it plays at about 30 fps on the lowest of the low.

agreed.... graphics are the best i've seen yet for a FPS. the physics/destructible environments produced by explosions and grenades are awesome.

Call of Duty 2 is two years older and personally I find overall it looks better on the same settings 1680x1050, max, with AA.

As for the post processing effects...yeah maybe, I'll try turn that off actually.

CoD2 is a much better game overall imo

Can't beat CoD2 though for multiplayer and overall gameplay, its just so smooth and consistent.

i have a hard time playing it on my system for some reason. have the latest drivers too. i'm playing it at 1280 x 800 and it's just so horrible. settings all low - medium. i would have figured it to be much faster with my system.
