the fulton recovery development started in the 50s and it was used from the mid-60s till the mid 90s so yeah the fulton recovery tech is period correct for its usage and existance in 1984.

Tried pushing Escape button? -
Yes, and nothing. And finished first mission. Don't quite understand the rating. I didn't kill anyone or sound any alarms, but it said I did (or got 0 score for them). And looks like there were some side missions, but didn't see any mention of them. Sigh.

Strange, Escape works for me. Maybe I didn't understand it right.
Are you talking about side objectives within missions? Some you have to discover yourself, others you get from Ocelot, it varies. When you complete the mission you can see all the objective objectives story mission had.
I have no idea how rating works in this game and to be honest I don't really care about it. I think major factors are no alarms, no reloads, something else... Don't know.
Have to say though, moments like these make this game really awesome

Eff you, mission 29.

It's not that difficult... Use Quiet and make sure your carrying the 50 cal sniper rifle... Move quiet around so that she doesn't die... It's not that difficult trust me...

Tried the Quiet route a couple of times, but failed.
After that I took D-Walker and LMG with me. Worked like a charm!
