Ok, i´ve been optimizing my gpu oc and I think I can not run it any farther without unlocking it even more. At the moment is 151/170w, which is pretty awesome for everyday gaming. My firestrike result is 17323. My graphics result 21470. I think that is not bad at all for a 1070 in a laptop. Thank you very much to Coolane and Falkentyne who have helped me through this.

Thank you! I can do it later, but for now, i think it is +200mhz, except at 1,025v, which is +212mhz and after that its flattened. Also +700mhz on vram.

    Potentially stupid question:

Are the vbios TDP limits for a card inclusive or exclusive of the vram TDP?

actual my best FireStrike score with my zephyrus m up to now with 150 watts tdp limit just for benching.
Impressive how a device this thin can actually perform!

150w is still a fair amount of power budget. I remember when 90w was considered the top level.

I misunderstood, he flashed a 1070vbios onto his 1070MQ so no modding.....that is why it worked. Not useful in my case, I will need to get my hands dirty.

opening my 1080 vbios in the editor shows a 170W TDP so a 200-220W should give a decent boost.

Can you share your afterburner settings? Pretty great score, I don't even get that with 170w

Edit: ok, my graphics score its better, but your cpu gets way better score...

Yep, pretty amazing for that laptop. Anyway, I wouldn´t say better cpu...it´s got six cores, but isn´t it limited to 45w? In the real world, what stable speed can you get out of the six? is it possible to mantain the 3.9Ghz for long in the six cores? Because I think it´s only possible for very short periods, but maybe im wrong. In the case I´m wrong, its better. Mine can sustain 4.4Ghz without a problem, I could go farther, but dont want to risk with the high voltages...

Dur to core temp and hwinfo it uses about 60-63 watts during load. The 3,9 ghz are always there with a decent undervolt.

    Hi
Is there any official signed Vbios for gtx1060 with TDP of 88W thaht can be flashed with nvflash on msi laptop?
Currently I have stock bios with TDP of 78W, but if there is official signed vbios with 88W thaht can be flshed without programer it would be great.
If someone have one I am kindly asking for an upload. I don't need unlocked power slider but 10W more would be great.

    Thanks

    Hey dude,
i have the same question like you except that i have a gtx 1060 max-q version
do you think would it be possible to upgrade it from a signed vbios onto a regular 1060M version ?
i currently suffering the power limits on my gpu and this is frustrating i really appreciate if someone help me with that

my vBIOS Version is 86.06.51.00.08 (Max-Q)
and the vBios that i found is 86.06.18.00.30 (Regular Mobile)

Here is the signed one that i found: https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/189965/189965
but it's not mentioned the TDP limit

    Hi

On my side I am looking for signed vbios for msi gtx1060 bga with 88W TDP.
    GPU-z shows device ID: 10DE 1C20 - 1462 11D7
    My current vbios is 86.06.29.00.04
If this matters I have Samsung GDDR5

Maybe newer msi laptops with bga gtx 1060 have higher tdp like 88W. maybe msi ge73 or ge75.

If someone have one please share.

Also if someones could tell me what programer and other hardware would be needed and best and easiest to work with for pascal vbioses. Beacause in future I want to buy one .

Anyway if someones have nice official vbios please share.

    thanks

Hi maybe someone with those laptops can tell us what is the tdp of the gtx1060.
Most interesting are those with higher clocks

Maybe some CLEVO signed 88W TDP vbios will work

So you mean in matter of temperature?
temps are not the big problems in that case cause it's always below 65~67C under heavy load
btw how can i check and be sure about this one?

despite that do you think is it possible to flash a signed vbios without a programmer?

They wont be monitored. They will have just been designed with a tolerance and left to run.

Is it possible to hand-edit a (Quadro Pascal) VBIOS to enable core and memory overclocking, and then flash the VBIOS using the programmer?

    Thanks very much.
