Didn't work, unfortunately.
Here's the nvrz.inf and .cat from the last official Razer driver for this laptop (353.54). Maybe it will help.

The last official driver to support the 870M (425.31) installs just fine on the Blade so it would probably be worthwhile to start your investigation there.

I do not integrate "Xtreme-G Modded" tweaks, because these changes are placebo and there is no evidence (benchmarks) etc which proves that these old and very outdated tweaks still work. Please do not use my eMail to ask me questions about this anymore, I simply do not believe in placebo. why say that Chef Koch?

Albeit I still haven't thoroughtfully checked it but so far I managed to fix a bug for me with on 850M with HEVC playback using NVCleanstall which until this time was with many different drivers (since 362.00 I suppose) and with different players. Video used to just stop playing while audio could continue if I set video to use Nvidia instead of iGPU.

XG 430.64 are available for laptop and desktop:

Could this be due to the modded drivers? It doesnt happen all the time, and the gpu works fine when optimus switches to it. This however seems weird. (This is the j95 drivers, I think its supposed to be the hotfixed one, do not know why it says 430.39 tbh) -

Ok here is what they do on every driverI got the list from there dead website http://tweakforce.com by using http://web.archive.org/
XG drivers are tweaked to improve image quality and stability while performance may increase or decrease slightly depending on your system specs. A few XG registry tweaks include mods to the following:
Paletted Textures In Video Memory
Render Quality Flags
Target Flush Count
Texture Clamp Behavior
Texture LOD Bias
Use Cached PCI Mappings
Texture Memory Space
Downloaded Memory Space
Texture Precache
UMA Fast Frame Buffering
Main 3D rendering
Triple Buffering
Here's what I observed comparing between official ones vs XG...
-Less microstutters
-Higher OC Potential (Gives me additional 50 ~ 90 MHz more OC) with the same overvolt (I use +75mv) going higher voltage gives me black screen
-Higher FPS [Not significant-(YMMV)] (due to less stuttering I guess you feel that you are playing at higher frame rate)
-Less latency per a frame (Means smoothie gameplay)
If you want the normal XG driver version... look here...

I am on Windows 10 1809 with a non max Q mobile RTX 2070.
Edit: Completely uninstalling afterburner and rivatuner, and reinstalling the 4.6.1 beta resolved the GPU disconnect issue.
Edit: I tried the same thing again today but the XG drivers give the same error. I installed the J95 driver for 430.64 without any issues. The performance gain is negligable, and when there is no external monitor connected and the gpu is on idle, it still keeps disconnecting.Last edited: May 13, 2019 -

Figured why newer Nvidia driver caused increased stuttering and gave crappy performance. It was a buggy value set by nvidia when you use VSYNC tear control to Adaptive w/o setting VSYNC to ON/Off/Fast Sync/Forced ON/Off. If you don't set it drivers work like crap on older games and older hardware. I usually type adaptive sync and nvidia page always said to enable VSYNC Tear control to Adaptive and you're good to go. What led me into this direction was recent 43x.xx 19Hq driver has buggy VSYNC control.
<4xx.xx VSYNC tear control works properly and sets optimal value on the fly whereas post 4xx.xx requires the user to choose a VSYNC values. If nvidia dev team suggested this change long time ago we won't be in this situation.
Anyway, can anyone interpret Metro Redux benchmarks? I used 391.25 to test it and FPS shown in graph wasn't reached because I had RTSS running in background and it reported only min 10FPS, avg 48-55FPS on Ultra preset @ FHD resolution.
