This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Terraria is on 1.1.1 so theres a new snow biome next to spawn.
    Upped the playerlimit too.

    I'm surprised that the server's still up.

    Anyway recently I've been watching this group of youtube minecraft LPers who play on the Mindcrack server, and I think playing in that style could really spruce up our gameplay (if any of you are still up for playing this summer).

    Basically we build a spawn town, then we make a nether portal, go into nether and pillar up to near-bedrock-ceiling height, make another portal (and destroy the old one) and make a huge hub there. From there we can all branch off with railway systems and develop our own places. The nether hub will be used so everyone could chill at everyone else's place or do coop if they so desire, meanwhile the spawn town could be for events and stuff.

    This could both cater to solitary megabuilds, and promote coop and group-play.

    This is madness, I played minecraft the other day no server so I must have tried to connect to the old one or something.

    Of course hours into a mine my first mine where I got all the stuff I needed short of diamonds, a skeleton sniped me and killed me and I was so far away and lost from home that there was no hope of getting back to my gear.

    The new system for survival instead of instant hp regen makes early game hard and you have to tread much more carefully.
