lol
Ok now when I'm installing the new drivers. Do i boot in safe mode? and I heard also I have to disable my avira?
-
-
No, boot in normal bmode and yes disable avira maybe it gives "alert" becouse the setup want to enter system files. I use Kaspersky and dosn't disable it when I update drivers...
-
the new drivers are installed
Rep+ -
Always!
Thanks for +REP btw -
I'm playing ut3 at 1680x1050 MAX GRAPHIX
and I have NO screen lag or tearing like I did when I was on the stock drivers
YES -
-
Damn, no XP version of these? I'm still sitting at 181.22.
-
Even DOX don't give out drivers to XP any longer... -
Hmmm, will I see any performance boost moving to Win 7?
-
Example:

Why not Vista SP2 ?
What is your specs.? -
However, if you are still on XP I would recommend you wait and get seven as it is newer and looks to be better overall than vista -
Late 2008 Macbook Pro. 2.4GHz 256MB 9600M GT, 2GB RAM
edit: Yeah, totally not going to Vista. Use it at work. Just not a fan. -
Like RaYYaN said; Wait untill seven is finished and upgrade or give Vista a try (you can use it 30 days before you need License). But don't buy Vista now, too late
Wait and buy if you want a new os...
Do you have Vista License?
You will handle Vista 32-bit well btw... -
If I were you I would keep xp until final version of vista 7 comes out..
I have vist sp2 64bit and I like it a lot but xp is MUCH lighter on RAM, hopefully w7 doesn't use as much ram.. -
-
much more effects in vista then in xp -
lol

i dunno why i waited so long to finally try these drivers out. i had some initial problems with the first install, so i reinstalled the driver a 2nd time. the results are fantastic!!! i was comin from the 185.xx drivers and the 186.03 has nearly doubled my TF2 FPS!!!
the 185.xx drivers were givin me random stutters and crashes once in a while. 186.03 has seem to fix it and made it a little smoother. GPU usually hits 77c after a few hours of TF2. after 186.03 i've only seen a GPU high of 75c.
i don't really have any other games, besides CS 1.6, to test these drivers out. but just by goin by my TF2 improvements, this driver is great! -
I can't get Vista SP2 yet because I'm in Denmark, and they haven't got it translated to danish O_O.
When I use driver sweeper to delete the remaining files in safe mode and it's done, shall I then install the new driver in safe mode too? -
Also, not far away from me
I use RTM version of SP2 becouse like you said; final dosn't have my language yet! -
Thanks, but when I uinstall the NVIDIA drivers, Windows reinstall it again immediately O_O? How can I stop that?
Btw. it goes back to stock drivers (179.24) -
If you use driver sweeper correctly, it should detect your graphics card as a "Standard VGA device" and not an Nvidia device.
-
Nope, RIGHT after I uinstall the NVIDIA drivers, it installed itself again. And then there is no idea to run driversweeper if the whole driver still is installed.
-
After all, this is not related to Driver Sweeper.
Because our computer have build-in OEM(PQservice).
The computer would auto install your Nvidia Driver automatically(right after you restart).
To avoid this happen and make it install VGA driver instead of Nvidia driver automatically.
F2 during boot-up(acer logo shown), get into the BIOS.
Disable D2D recovery.
I think this would make the PQservice to halt. -
I did it much easier.
I went to device mananager and clicked on my 9300m GS and then "Delete Driver". I got error messages, I don't know why, but it got it deleted.
Then I booted in safe mode and used driver sweeper: Here is my log: Deleted file (C:\Windows\prefetch\NVCPLSETUPINT.EXE-B4BBC1C5.pf)
Deleted file (C:\Windows\prefetch\NVCPLUI.EXE-AB2777E5.pf)

Not deleted file (C:\Windows\System32\nvmctray.dll)
Then I installed the new driver and woula! It works!
Is it done correctly? -
That should be correct. I don't think DriverSweeper does someting wrong
-
ok, good
And thanks for your help.
-
anyone try these yet on the msi 1651 / gx620?? the last ones 185.xx did not work and im hoping these will. i have not had a chance to try them yet and i was hoping maybe someone else did by now..
-
-
Driver gave me same performance as dox's 185.68 on the Street Fighter IV benchmark, but this one crashed when I turned on AA (known bug) whilst Dox's did not
Interesting.....
These do seem to run a few degrees cooler that Dox's 185.68, which is always good
Now to try these with some other games -
Hmm.. After installing these drivers a couple of days ago, i've twice experienced that while playing a game (happened to CSS and COD1, yes the first) the screen suddenly blacks out and sound is looping in the background.. At first it thought it was my overclock so i clocked down quite a bucnh (not back to default) but now it happened again. Now i've removed the overclock completely, but it didnt happen with older driveres o_0...
Also, COD4 runs like e on my pc, also with these drivers.. even with low details my fps is often like 50 or something... Is that normal with a P8400 2,26 GHz and 9600M ?? -

186.18 WHQL and 190.15 are out. Rack 'em, pack 'em, and stack 'em.
-
Issit official or ? -
its not official,
A little somebody gave it to us (laptopvideo2go) -
Also which ones are better for games??/
Cheers -
Forceware 186.18 is for Windows7 (Well, they work with Vista I think)
-
I already installed Forceware 190.15 into my laptop.
I found a good thing that is we can set our own resolution personally for desktop display. -
If you didn't understand what I mean take a look here;

, I'm quite not sure, but there must be a reason. (I think)
Quadro based cards is for grapichal use so the new drivers wich is found at dell is not optimized to gaming I think. But this is my view don't know what other users think...
PEACE -
It was great as well because I am digital animation student.
Personally, I think 190.15 was for nvidia Quadro series(workstation type graphic card to enhance the workstation abilities, CG[Computer Generate]) but now is modded to any Nvidia drivers which may improve the workstation abilities of other Nvidia Drivers. -
So, It will be good for you then
-
I heard somewhere that Nvidia was going to stop having separate Quadro/GeForce drivers and just have one package.
-
But I think they still can make a modded .inf to show your card as Quadro
But nVidia has too many beta drivers around! -
Just benched 186.03 compared to 185.85 and the two 179 series drivers Nvidia released - these are better than all three in 3DMark05 and 3DMark06, and only a little behind 185.85 in the Devil May Cry 4 bench.
-
I also got low 3DMark06 points with 186.03, But better real world performance so I will stay with those
-
Personally, I think 190.15 is the best even it is BETA(leaked) now.
Hope the Official version would release soon. -
Yes, I get low 3DMark06 with 186.03. I have not tested 190.15, but isin't those mainly for Quadro ? Well, you can always use modded .inf through
